Guest Jordan Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 I recently moved to Firefox 3 RC1 (and now RC2) after using IE7 and before that Slimbrowser. I didn't like Firefox 2, i found it incredibly slugish and difficult to use. But 3 has some fantastic features.

Ramar Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 I agree with Stefkov.The new version Opera 9.50 is awesome. No it is not! I've just updated and now the address bar tries to autocomplete my bookmarks. It's annoying. Anyone know how to stop this? Also it looks ugly, + symbol for new tab..ugh. The previous design was so much better.

Put opera:config in address bar then go to user prefs and uncheck Auto Dropdown and save button. still cant fnd the god damn thing. and lol opera is painfully slow at least on my laptop just tried it out there. edit: ah now it seems to be fine guess it takes a bit of time..
Ollie Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 You can't download FF3 yet, it is released at 10am PDT (San Francisco time) which is 6pm UK time. Any download you get before then is the RC version. Count down timers

And that's not even including it's fugly iTunes-like design (or the massive fatal flaw in the browser that makes it vulnerable to attacks) I disagree with that. I installed it on my grandparents PC and I thought it looked better than firefox. Way better than IE at least. The only problem I had with it was that the menu bar was in a different spot than the Mac version. But I think porn mode makes up for that.

flameboy Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 I just managed to get on and download it... hopefully wont do what the current version of firefox does and just hang for 10 secs - 20 secs doing nothing.
