Indigo Posted September 17, 2005 Posted September 17, 2005 I've never tried smoking, and I never intend to do so. It annoys me how there's still this "cool" image that surrounds it, despite the blatant health risks.
david.dakota Posted September 17, 2005 Posted September 17, 2005 I have never smoked - and it ruins my life! Unfortunately, although no medical diagnosis has been made I can barely breath in a smokey room. Start wheezing, eyes water, feel nausious and basically get pissed off. By the next morning I have dirty black bogies which block my sinuses completely. I think people do have a right to smoke, if they so wish. But I (and others) have a right to clean air too. Smokers should also be forced to pay a heafty levy for NHS treatment of smoking related ilnesses.
Eddage Posted September 17, 2005 Posted September 17, 2005 Smokers should also be forced to pay a heafty levy for NHS treatment of smoking related ilnesses. Completely agree with that! Why should they get sorted out on the NHS when it's their own fault when others have to wait?!
Bowser57 Posted September 17, 2005 Posted September 17, 2005 I smoke more to socialise than anything, its great when your with your mates, and u all go out for a brew and ciggy, everyone gets on well and its sound. That's not something I feel I've ever missed out on by not smoking though. Having never smoked I couldn't say for certain, but it's never felt like I'm getting on less well than I could just because I'm a non-smoker.
Blackfox Posted September 17, 2005 Posted September 17, 2005 I have tried smoking, but it didnt really do anything for me so i didn't take it up as a habit. I have had the odd Hamlet cigar just for a laugh - so i dont see a lot of harm in doing that once every 6 months (say). And about the NHS levees, i would like to see that happen but i cant. Next we'll be charging fat people because their weight has contributed to health conditions etc etc.
RoadKill Posted September 17, 2005 Posted September 17, 2005 Never so much as tried a cigarette and have absolutely no interest in doing so.
ViPeR Posted September 17, 2005 Posted September 17, 2005 Never have done, never will. Luckily I was never forced into it because I had likeminded mates.
Apple_NdiB Posted September 17, 2005 Posted September 17, 2005 Probably smoke between 5-10 rollies a day, usually less when I'm at home than when I'm out with mates. I won't stick up for smoking, I know it's shitty, but it's one of my guilty pleasures.
Raining_again Posted September 17, 2005 Posted September 17, 2005 I used to smoke rollies too...so cheap! i rolled em tight so i didnt have to smoke as much. i was on about 15 a day probably more
Guest Offerman Posted September 17, 2005 Posted September 17, 2005 Somebody at work once told me you could always tell if somebody had been inside by the way they rolled. They would never drop a single bit of tabacco, they would always be extremely lean on the amount of tabacco, they would roll it extremely tight and almost smoke it right down to their lips. So the butt was only a few mm's long.

Owario Posted September 17, 2005 Posted September 17, 2005 What tobacco does in its own time is none of your business.

ThePigMarcher Posted September 17, 2005 Posted September 17, 2005 I usually go though about 15-20 roll ups day , and have smoked for most of my life. I would love to give up but can't - so to anyone thinking of trying , its up to you but take it from me , there is a bloody good chance you'll wish you never tried.
elniro Posted September 17, 2005 Posted September 17, 2005 i dont smoke cigs, it tastes crap and the smell on clothes is bleh. But i do smoke sumthin else once in a while

Surrealist Posted September 17, 2005 Posted September 17, 2005 Tried a ciggie and a cigar, didn't like either of them. Dunno why I'd want to start smoking anyway, just a money-leech if you ask me. Social smoking? Bah.
zatoichi Posted September 17, 2005 Posted September 17, 2005 just put some old tobey in there mate, a bit of the old skunkaymuthafuckingshizzle and smoke like it ain't no thang! Tastes much better too
Triple_C Posted September 17, 2005 Posted September 17, 2005 It's crap. It makes you stink and you can't stop coughing.

cheets Posted September 17, 2005 Posted September 17, 2005 i've smoked about 10 cigs in my lifetime, only can do it when i have drank 8 pints.
Twozzok Posted September 17, 2005 Posted September 17, 2005 I've never smoked, and never intend to... though i have eaten a cigarette once :-/ And i can't say i'll never try a cigar, they intrigue me, as you don't inhale the smoke, you just suck it into your mouth and taste the smoke. Especially when you can tell between the flavours.
