Daft Posted June 2, 2013 Posted June 2, 2013 Literally bought Spec Ops: The Line on Friday. Just completed it. It's fucking excellent. Definitely would be up for Battlefield 3 and DmC, also Little King Story for Vita.
flameboy Posted June 2, 2013 Posted June 2, 2013 PlayStation Russia have posted the next few months of PS+ on a Russian social media site. July: Battlefield 3 (PS3) Payday: The Heist (PS3) Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus (Vita) Unit 13 (Vita) August: DmC: Devil May Cry (PS3) Spec Ops: The Line (PS3) Little King's Story (Vita) When Vikings Attack (Vita) Definitely up for some Battlefield, DMC and Spec Ops. I have Payday and love it! Despite it getting delayed from Summer to Autumn for no reason in Europe when it eventually did release (like the week before the latest COD game) it was well worth the wait. Super excited for the sequel that seems to be taking the ideas further.
Shorty Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 Looking forward to all of those Except BF3 which I played to death ages ago and Spec Ops which is the most overrated game of all time.
Daft Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 I would call a game that got 77% on metacritic overrated.
Cube Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 Looking forward to all of those Except BF3 which I played to death ages ago and Spec Ops which is the most overrated game of all time. You're confusing "over" and "under". Sure, it doesn't have the best gameplay, but the narrative is among the best in gaming.
Shorty Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 I feel it's overrated not by the media but by the players touting it as being amazing narrative, and suggesting that makes up for bland gameplay and poor AI. Sure compared to the average military shooter it has its moments, plot-wise - a commentary on the illusion of choice and distancing yourself from your actions etc etc, but I feel that drawing the comparison to any other dusty modern war game is the only reason people are landing on the idea that it's anything but average (and it's not hard to land on a positive with that distinction).
Happenstance Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 If anyones interested there was a really good Gamespot spoilercast on Spec Ops which has Jeff Gerstmann and the Spec Ops writer guesting, made me want to play the game through again to see all the more subtle stuff I missed. http://uk.gamespot.com/features/gamespot-gameplay-special-edition-spoilercast-spec-ops-the-line-6386587/
Daft Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 It's Heart of Darkness: The Videogame. What's not to like? I thought the gameplay was a lot of fun, tbh. The AI was also pretty good. Better than Uncharted probably - or at the least I never felt cheated like I did playing Uncharted. And Bruce Boxleitner is in it. Awesome.
flameboy Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 Really fucked off with FIFA right now. Just beat a guy 2-0 and he disconnected at the kick off after the second goal and somehow it didn't give me the win! Only ever seems to happen when playing against people who play as either Mexican or Brazilian teams but normally at least get the win.

Daft Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 Thought people in here might enjoy this.. I'd like to see a comparison with Nintendo, too.

flameboy Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 Thought people in here might enjoy this.. The thing that surprises me most is that Move has games than Kinect. Kinect sold 25 million worldwide whereas Move is believed to be somewhere around 10 million. (actually just looked it up apparently 15 million by back end of last year) In sheer coverage terms look at how much more Kinect got. Only reason I own a move is because it came with my second PS3.
dwarf Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 Every game with RPG elements these days seems to have you mindlessly stripping the environment of its assets like some crazed Mitt Romney figure. I've stopped appreciating the detail, now I'm all about hunting for those shiny trinkets. I make myself sick. Has looting become tiring for anyone else?
Happenstance Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 PS+ replacement game announcements for LBP2, Infamous 2 and Motorstorm Apocalypse are being made at 4pm today
Cube Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 Considering the lack of it in the fighting game sale last month, I'm certain that PlayStation All Stars Battle Royale is one of the games.
flameboy Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 I wonder if we might get Little Big Planet Karting? I'm trying to think what other first party offerings they might give us.
Happenstance Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 Here we go Leaving PS Plus in June:12th June: LittleBigPlanet 2 12th June: inFamous 2 12th June: Motorstorm Apocalypse Entering PS Plus in June: 12th June: Uncharted 3 Drake’s Deception (Single Player) 12th June: LittleBigPlanet Karting 12th June: XCOM: Enemy Unknown
Cube Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 12th June: Uncharted 3 Drake’s Deception (Single Player)12th June: LittleBigPlanet Karting 12th June: XCOM: Enemy Unknown Well, that's shit.
Happenstance Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 XCOM is very good but unfortunately I already have it. No interest in Karting games and theres no way I'd play Uncharted 3 again.
V. Amoleo Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 I'm quite happy with the replacement stuff. I don't have Uncharted 3 (I have the first two though!) or LittleBigPlanet Karting. I've played XCOM to death and it's really good. Rumoured next two month EU Plus content: July: Battlefield 3, PayDay, Ninja Gaiden Sigma and Unit 13. August: DMC, Spec Ops, New Little King's Story and When Viking's Attack.
Tales Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 I have never played Uncharted , so that is nice. LittleBigPlanet doesn't interest me, and neither does XCOM after a quick read of the review on Gamespot. Are these the long term games?
