Wound up booting up my Steam library again after the sale. My laptop is too underpowered to run triple A games but its perfectly fine with running Indie games. If anyone's seen in the Gaming Diary thread I have been playing Rivals of Aether recently. The Workshop Mods were quite attractive, I've never played a game with mods before but its been fun just to mess around and turn rivals into "Indie Smash Bros" or at least that was the original intention. Mugen Smash was a lot more enticing in the end but I still tried to put in as many indie characters as possible, most from games I've never played but I figured that would replicate how in Smash Bros you probably haven't played half the gaming franchises that are in the roster. Some characters such as Ronald McDonald caused severe lag to games so I removed them from my roster.

Steam Deck launch delayed by two months to February 2022.

Mine wasn't due for me to confirm my order until Q2 anyways, and I'm in no real rush for it either, so...oh well, these things happen! ::shrug:

PC features trailer for God of War, which is still coming 14th January 2022.

Also put out a handy graphic for the system requirements of the five configurations for the game:

YEEEEEES I can FINALLY PLAY it!

(And also now I will never need to buy a PS4 or PS5 xD)

Day 1 buy for me!

Like many others, would have preferred Steam (or just no "gaming client" required at all), but I'll take it!

Epic Games is having their "15 games for christmas"-thingy going on now, so, there's a new free mystery game each day. Shenmue 3 from 2019 is available now, with a new game opening up in three hours. Grab 'em if you can!

Waiting until "after Q2 2022" for mine. Hoo boy, that's not going to be a fun wait...

Also, no deck pun, really? "All hands on Deck for launch" or something like that? No?! :p

I think most of us here are Q2/“after Q2” 2022 (myself included).  Hopefully all the inevitable Steam OS kinks will be worked out by then.

Oh my word! That is insane.
Should have used a GB Micro for the comparison. :heh:

Anyway, now that I'm here, a quick heads up for anyone who has Resident Evil 4 on PC...

The fan-made HD Project (that has been in the works for 7 years ) is finally 100% complete and available to download!:

Just played the opening couple of chapters and it is absolutely incredible! I highly recommend checking it out.

One for you @RedShell

Today's "portables" are not very portable really

@Dcubed thing with gamrboy advance is the price of the games. Ninja cop Europe edition cost £400 and £700 for the American one. That's a lot to pay for a small cartridge.⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡

It is also the single rarest game available for the system (and the only one I don’t have!).

GBA games have actually come down to reasonable prices recently and eBay is actually now largely free of bootlegs! (outside of Pokémon).  As long as you have your wits about you, now’s actually a really good time to pick up some GBA games!

Steam Deck previews are out!

Absolutely monstrous performance! GTX 1050 class performance in a handheld; insane!

Battery life is incredibly variable; from a minimum of 1 hour 30 minutes all the way up to just over 6 hours; depending on how you're using it.

Shame about the rubbish rumble and the kind of middling screen quality; but yeah... You're paying less than half the price of competing portable PCs for a system that is not only around 1.7x as powerful, but also with FAR higher build quality all around.

Err... can I have this thing now? Please?
