Supergrunch Posted May 17, 2007 Posted May 17, 2007 Wish i read that yesterday. Completely messed it up I ran out of time and missed out 3 3mark questions Don't worry, I did pretty much exactly the same thing, and I completely screwed up the microscope practical, and I got 105/120 for transport overall.
jayseven Posted May 17, 2007 Posted May 17, 2007 Tsk! That mentality hinders humanity's growth! It's no different to being a crappy parent because you had a crappy parent. I plan to campaign against exams being memory tests when I'm all growed up! LIEZ. If you actually DO campaign, I'll give you my hat to eat.

I plan to campaign against exams being memory tests when I'm all growed up! I agree. But to be fair, their not just memory tests, it does also depend on your I.Q and how hard you try.
Zell Posted May 18, 2007 Posted May 18, 2007 Fucked up critical thinking. Literally had no time to finish the first paper. I made up though on the 2nd paper, but still think I've got a C at best oh well it's a shit subject anyway.
Supergrunch Posted May 18, 2007 Posted May 18, 2007 I did the second paper actually... it was okay. I wish they'd chosen a more interesting topic than roads though.
Zell Posted May 18, 2007 Posted May 18, 2007 Yeah roads was a bit boring, makes it harder to come up with a good argument if you're not that interested.

Looks like i'll be doing solid C2 until then.

Coolness Bears Posted May 20, 2007 Posted May 20, 2007 I have my Spanish reading exam tommorrow. I declare my GCSES officially open!!!
Fresh Posted May 20, 2007 Posted May 20, 2007 M1 tomorrow, should be alright. It's quite straight-forward.
Guest Stefkov Posted May 20, 2007 Posted May 20, 2007 Other 2 General Studies tommorow. Social and Moral. Don't know what to expect. I'll just sit there and waffle on again. COmputing the day after then I think a little time off until the last of my eams, my maths....
Slaggis Posted May 20, 2007 Posted May 20, 2007 anyone on here remember their English GCSE exams...were they hard? (the exams with the poem essay thing) Did u get to take in your anthology WITH your notes in?
Calza Posted May 20, 2007 Posted May 20, 2007 I really should start revising for Accounts. 4 days left...
Ellmeister Posted May 20, 2007 Posted May 20, 2007 anyone on here remember their English GCSE exams...were they hard? (the exams with the poem essay thing) Did u get to take in your anthology WITH your notes in? In the real exam you don't. you get a brand new one from scratch. If your using your anthologies and they aren't new editions, then I vaguely remeber a theme question on deaths, i chose that one. But don't hold me to it. English literature was crap. good luck though :P
Fresh Posted May 20, 2007 Posted May 20, 2007 anyone on here remember their English GCSE exams...were they hard? (the exams with the poem essay thing) Did u get to take in your anthology WITH your notes in? English GCSE is easy and no you don't get to take your Anthology.
Guest Stefkov Posted May 20, 2007 Posted May 20, 2007 anyone on here remember their English GCSE exams...were they hard? (the exams with the poem essay thing) Did u get to take in your anthology WITH your notes in? You get given an Anthology. Plus it was a piece of piss.
The Bard Posted May 20, 2007 Posted May 20, 2007 I've got my English exam soon. Despite it being my fave subject, I'm shitting bricks cause I don't know the texts too well. With the exception of Paradise Lost which I know better than my own parents
Fields Posted May 20, 2007 Posted May 20, 2007 We were allowed to take our anthologies in, but that was a few years ago, it's probably changed. They were quite strict about what notes you could write in it though, not that it stopped people writing line upon line of continuous prose in there. And yes, English GCSE is a piece of piss. As for my own exams, I still have 3 left but nothing until Friday. Which is just as well because I know nothing about GIS
Monopolyman Posted May 20, 2007 Posted May 20, 2007 Woo! Maths tomorrow. The easiest of the three papers, but I'll find some way to mess it up. Then I got 3 weeks until my next exam, which is practically a lifetime during exams. A time to relax, and probably a little studying.
Dyson Posted May 20, 2007 Posted May 20, 2007 Ahaha, got General Studies tomorrow, what a joke. Maths and something else.
Zell Posted May 20, 2007 Posted May 20, 2007 C2 tomorrow, revised a fuck load, so I'm really confident.
Ellmeister Posted May 20, 2007 Posted May 20, 2007 C2 tomorrow, revised a fuck load, so I'm really confident. Sorry to ask but why do you have c2 tomorrow? Are we talking C2 for maths? Sorry once again for having no idea. hehe
Zell Posted May 20, 2007 Posted May 20, 2007 Yeah I'm talking about Core Maths 2. Why do I have it tomorrow? Because I just do. My exam timetable reads "C2, 21/5/07, 09:15".
Sarka Posted May 20, 2007 Posted May 20, 2007 I really should start revising for Accounts. 4 days left... Oh God! I've jsut bene going through past papers. I think I'm almost ready for it. I need to do some more work on Partnerships, ratios and why you actually need things like Profit/Loss Accounts. Hmmm, what do P/L Accounts look like - gotta revise them!
