The beginning of modern, swedish pop in an incredibly outrageous costume for it time. Full of hits (and sparkles on their uniforms). Not my kind of thing, but it's been hugely popular, so it's a nice, round (double-round) 8.

Maybe you don't know these guys, but I'll give it a go anyway:

dEUs

If you don't know them, finjd some music from them ('seven days, seven weeks' is a good one - and don't forget 'little arithemtics'). Really, they're top-notch.

Fantastic indie/alternative-rock band in every single aspect (not considering pocket revolution, wich was average).

8.5/10

I don't know if anyone here knows them, but they deserve credit, so:

Paracoccidioido-Micosisproctitis-Sarcomucosis

(excelent name, don't you agree?)

don't you remeber what happened last time someone posted a ridiculously obscure band?

I did a google and found their myspace. Not impressed, They sound like a pretty weak attempt at Cannibal Corpse 2/10

:blank: Gee, that's peculiar, considering that Cannibal Corpse are without a doubt the worst band of all time.

That's correct (Tomb Of The Mutilated is still an awesome album, but...)

Who the hell confuses pornogrind with death metal? You clearly do not know what you're talking about. That's almost as bad as saying Gut is an attempt at Carcass.

I cannot believe I get aggro from not one but two people for comparing 2 bands...

I never stated a preference for or against cannibal corpse, however they are generally considered to be a good example of their genre so seemed like a reasonable band to compare too.

And as for not getting the specific genre correct... wtf... It was 8 in the morning, on their crappy myspace page hearing the first (very very poor) 30 seconds of two tracks.

I'm not a 'metal head', so I don't know exact genres, when TBH alot fo the differences between genres are based on lyrical content, which given the vocal style used, the majority listeners will hear no difference between the two. I listen to a lot of metal, and have seen a lot of metal acts live, but I also like to spread my wings a bit, and try some varietyso I am not, and mnever claimed to have been, an expert on obscure metal genres.

Thank you

Ok then........

Sepultura.

My brother is always playing that. It's like proper metal isn't it? Sorry to sound like a pansy, but I find them a bit loud and meaningless - but then again, I've never appreciated metal so what would I know.

My turn right?

what do you think of the fray, lets get this tread running again

Possibly the worst-most-undeserving-of-the-success-they-have band to ever enter my ears. I'd rather be death than to hear them again.

Now, Oasis.....

5/10. Cowbells are all well and good but I've never been that impressed. Saw them at Glastonbury in '04 and failed to inspire me to be honest.

Pure Reason Revolution

They're a brilliant new prog band, love the harmonies.

Either listen to Twyncyn/Trembling Willows or Victorious Cupid. Cracking choons. They were my favourite band of last year and their album goes onto my shortlist for album of the decade ;)
