Cube Posted September 3, 2008 Posted September 3, 2008 *has official Dr Horrible soundtrack* It's like rediscovering it, the quality difference is substantial. GET IT! It sounds very different. In an extremely awesome way. DVD should be awesome.
Davey_T Posted September 3, 2008 Posted September 3, 2008 Fantastic... you "really like" the worst track in the album. Seriously... what the fuck? Who said its the worst song on the album anyway? If someone likes a song from an album let them like the song. Whos gives a shit?
Girly hiyaz!~ Gamer Posted September 3, 2008 Posted September 3, 2008 I'm still recovering after listening to "The Hook That Never Comes"
gmac Posted September 3, 2008 Posted September 3, 2008 Who said its the worst song on the album anyway? If someone likes a song from an album let them like the song. Whos gives a shit? if you don't get Oxigen by now you never will
Davey_T Posted September 3, 2008 Posted September 3, 2008 if you don't get Oxigen by now you never will I do but its stupid. Oh well. I like the album. I dont like The Unforgiven 3 as much as the other songs but im sure it will grow on me Edit: The Bronx ftw. Cant wait for their new album Anyone like The Gaslight Anthem? The hype as huge for them at the moment and i didnt really get them until i listened to their latest album a few times. Sort of like a punk rock Killers. Really good
gmac Posted September 3, 2008 Posted September 3, 2008 Edit: The Bronx ftw. Cant wait for their new album which one the punk one or the mariachi one? and yeah I'm really liking the Gaslight Anthem atm, very Springsteen-esque on the new album
Davey_T Posted September 3, 2008 Posted September 3, 2008 which one the punk one or the mariachi one? and yeah I'm really liking the Gaslight Anthem atm, very Springsteen-esque on the new album The punk one :P. Yeah one of Gaslight's main influences is the Boss : peace:
The Bard Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 Who said its the worst song on the album anyway? If someone likes a song from an album let them like the song. Whos gives a shit? To be fair, Cyanide is pretty fucking inane. Anyway, yeah, it's a half decent effort! Hetfield's voice is fucked though, he just doesn't have any of the attack that he did back during Justice or Puppets...
Dyson Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 To be fair, Cyanide is pretty fucking inane. Anyway, yeah, it's a half decent effort! Hetfield's voice is fucked though, he just doesn't have any of the attack that he did back during Justice or Puppets... "So fucking what?!" *guitar*
Oxigen_Waste Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 Children Of Bodom's Blooddrunk. Better than Are You Dead Yet? , worse than all the others, pretty much the same shit they always churn out, only this time it feels dated and uninspired, and nobody gives a shit anymore. They either reinvent themselves or they're pretty much over.
Dan_Dare Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 so: who else stole the new Mogwai record this week?
DCK Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 Not too fond yet of the entire Death Magnetic album yet but there's some great songs on there. BOW DOWN! Sell your soul to me! I will set you free! Terrible lyrics, but this song is really awesome played really loud!
Tom Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 sorry for trying to sell to you, but I have some ebay listings at the moment that some of you may like: The Mars Volta - Tremulant EP Mastodon - Lifesblood EP The Mars Volta - Bible and the Breathalyser The Mars Volta - Televators 10" The Mars Volta Inertiatic ESP 10" The Mars Volta - Inertiatic ESP 12" The Mars Volta - Televators 12" The Mars Volta - Live at the Electric Ballroom 2x12" The Mars Volta - Frances the Mute 4x12" glow in the dark
Dog-amoto Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 I'm loving Death Magnetic. Finally managed to download it, so this will be on in my car tomorrow People make me laugh though - they hated Load and ReLoad as they abandoned their roots, then they complain that the new album has been done before. Tsk!
triforce_keeper Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 Thanks to the new Ugly Betty advert, I'm now in love with "September" by Earth wind and fire....again! ^_^
Fierce_LiNk Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 Thanks to that little debate about "Soundgarden vs. Audioslave" last week, I've been coming out with "JEEEESUS CHRRRRIIIST POOOOOSE!" all day in work. Fuckers.
Dan_Dare Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 so, we won? Listened to that song's album at my brothers in London actually. A gem seriously though guys: New Mogwai? why are you still talking about those has-beens Metalica when this band are putting out new material?
Fierce_LiNk Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 so, we won? Listened to that song's album at my brothers in London actually. A gem seriously though guys: New Mogwai? why are you still talking about those has-beens Metalica when this band are putting out new material? You didn't win shiiiit. I liked Soundgarden anyway, but prefer Audioslave. Meh, that's me. Hey, less of the Metallica hate.
Dan_Dare Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 but Mogwai are so much better. We should be debating the genius of their song titles, never mind how sick the album is. 'I'm Jim Morrison, I'm dead' 'The Sun Smells Too Loud' I Love You, I'm Going To Blow Up Your School'
Fierce_LiNk Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 but Mogwai are so much better. We should be debating the genius of their song titles, never mind how sick the album is. 'I'm Jim Morrison, I'm dead' 'The Sun Smells Too Loud' I Love You, I'm Going To Blow Up Your School' Mogwai and Metallica are totally different to each other. Its like comparing Coronation Street to Prison Break.
Fierce_LiNk Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 Incidentally, that'd make a great show. What? Crossing Coronation Street with Prison Break? Norris confronting Rita, in the Rovers Return: "I'm Breaking Out...and you're going to make sure Roy Cropper comes with me!" Think I'll give that a miss.
Slaggis Posted September 6, 2008 Posted September 6, 2008 Christina Aguilera's new song - Keeps Gettin' Better It's a bit different to her usual stuff, for sure. Not sure whether I like it or not at the moment. -- Also, fuck yes! They've just announced that Britney will be opening the VMA's again. Apparently she's doing something "fun" and "suprising". A video of her rehearsing her dancing to her new song (apparently for the VMA's) has just been leaked. I think it sounds pretty good and she finally looks hot again.
