Razz Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 CSS are offering their new single "Rat is dead" from their new album "Donkey" for free over here. I'm loving it personally.
The Bard Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 New In Flames is better than Come Clarity, but looks like they're still aiming for the same catchy and accessible tuneage. I'm enjoying it, but I'm not sure if the songs have much staying power...some awesome riffs, aswell as some pretty forgettable ones... still, the guitar work is a lot more pronounced than on their last two albums. Anyway, on another note, Watershed, which will probably be my album of the year is out in a month .
Sanchez Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 Oh Wolf Parade, this may not be "Apologies..." but I still love you. That was a pretty hard album to follow up anyway.

chairdriver Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 The link's not working for me Anyway, I just discovered possibly my favourite new band ever. I just saw the first 10 seconds of this video and knew I loved it.
Paj! Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 Is the link not working? It seems fine to me. No... I thought it might be a mac thing, so switched to my PC partition, and I got further, but it wouldn't DL...

chairdriver Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 I just love horses. Like anything with a horse in it feels dignified. Patti Smith made them famous, Bat For Lashes made them funny.

I juts love songs about Horses too. Horse And I by the aforementioned Bat For Lashes being one. Beauty Queen/Horses is my favourite Tori Amos song too.
Hellfire Posted May 1, 2008 Posted May 1, 2008 Joe Satriani concert. So. Awesome. That guy's fucking incredible. And the bassist? Damn. Awesome.
Dan_Dare Posted May 1, 2008 Posted May 1, 2008 I can't stand guys like Satriani. Boring, tech head dullard if you ask me.

MoogleViper Posted May 1, 2008 Posted May 1, 2008 Has anybody heard of The Bedroom Orchestra? I saw him busking in Leeds last weekend and he is an excellent singer.
Athriller Posted May 1, 2008 Posted May 1, 2008 Oh Wolf Parade, this may not be "Apologies..." but I still love you. That was a pretty hard album to follow up anyway. The new album is God damn amazing. I wasn't sure at first but I can't stop listening now. Kissing the beehive could be their best song yet.
Ashley Posted May 1, 2008 Posted May 1, 2008 Listening to Clap Your Hands Say Yeah. Reminds me of New York
Sanchez Posted May 1, 2008 Posted May 1, 2008 The new album is God damn amazing. I wasn't sure at first but I can't stop listening now. Kissing the beehive could be their best song yet. Indeed, it's really starting to grow on me, I particularly love the drums and keyboards in language city and especially the second half of kissing the beehive. Heh, actually it took me several months to get into the band in the first place so I should definitely give it more time. I think what I miss the most are the vocals from the original album which are more prominent in "Bang Your Drum"
Coolness Bears Posted May 1, 2008 Posted May 1, 2008 Today i rode in some guy's car and the Bass in it was INSANE!!!!! I could feel it penatrating my heart! Lil Wayne Lolipop is what he was playing along with T pain Don't usually listen to that kind of music but it is very catchy!

Coolness Bears Posted May 1, 2008 Posted May 1, 2008 I went to see La Xula once, and the bass was so much that I felt sick Awesome! : peace:
Paj! Posted May 1, 2008 Posted May 1, 2008 I went to see La Xula once, and the bass was so much that I felt sick At an MCR concert, I was standing right near the stage, but on the far right, RIGHT beside one half of the huge ass speaker system. The support act, Thursday was so loud and screechy, my face melted, but not in a good way. All thanks to the bass.
Slaggis Posted May 1, 2008 Posted May 1, 2008 I'm loving "I'm Not Dead" by Pink and "Cross" by Justice. I've been listening to them both all day.
