Fierce_LiNk
just wondering what everyones top five most wanted to see bands are. There seems to be quite mix of tastes here so i'm hoping some interesting names come up. I have been fortunate enough to get to see alot of bands, but the ones I would most like to see who I haven't yet are: Godspeed You! black Emporer Oasis Muse RATM Mono -seeing them in may nb - please only count bands who are still active, every wants to have seen The Beatles, Joy Division, Sublime etc so not worth mentioning Good post. I would happily see all those bands that you have mentioned (except I don't really know that much about Mono). My five would have to be: Oasis - It's a lifelong dream that I still hasn't come true for me yet. Been wanting to see them since I was very young. I will, one day. Rage Against The Machine - Just because it would be motherfucking awesome. The Jesus and Mary Chain - They're doing a fair bit of touring now, so this may even be possible for me. Doves - Again, a band that I've wanted to see for a long, long time. Radiohead - Like Oasis, it's a bit of a lifelong dream to see these guys live. Ashley
Yeah, I still didn't get into Radiohead, despite listening to In Rainbows yesterday.----- Listening to The Con by Tegan And Sara, a great duo, and awesome live. It's just been released in the UK, as only now have they got a UK Record deal, after like 4 albums. The Con The Con (Second Single) (Prospective 3rd single) ---- Some of their most popular/best stuff is from the previous albums, however. (Love this video. I want to their friend.) I really like 'I Know I Know I Know' after it was used in Veronica Mars. My Number, Soil, Soil and Relief Next To Me are also favourites of mine. Paj!
Listening to Tori Amos - Legs&Boots: Montreal 21/10/07, one of the many official bootlegs from her world tour. Some excellent live renditions, specifically In The Springtime Of His Voodoo and Devils And Gods.
killthenet
Oxigen: I am appalled that you didn't watch Black Dice or The Juan McClean. Minus 2 bonus points.
Oxigen_Waste
Oxigen: I am appalled that you didn't watch Black Dice or The Juan McClean. Minus 2 bonus points. Oh, but I did... I just didn't go there to see them. I fell for them during the concert. Much like I didn't go there to see Oasis and I did end up seeing them. Anyway... both Broken Ear Record and Less Than Human have become favourites of mine.

It's amazing, but can often leave me feeling unsettled and weird.

Paj!
Listening to The Reminder by Feist. It's grown from like to love now. I bought Let It Die as I assumed it would a case of "previous album is better than the one that got her famous", but tbh, I was wrong. While Let It Die is more experimental, it's not as solid as The Reminder. In other news; Britney Spears new video for "Break The Ice" has surfaced. It's interesting, as in an anime style. I like the video, but the song is mediocre, and doesnt fit the video at all.
chairdriver
I'm listening to Stagger Into The Light by Joan As Police Woman. Apparently she's releasing a new album in 2008 "To Survive", which I eagerly look forward too.

Slaggis
I was given a Madina Lake cd to listen to yesterday, it's not bad...nothing special though. I'd never heard of them before. I'm in love with the music video for "Never Again" (Kelly Clarkson). She can do pissed off so well!

If you haven't heard it you should check out Creature Comforts. It's one of my favourite albums of all time, really great record. Seeing them tomorrow night at Cargo. I remember I was at a party, and some emo crap track came on, and I was like "...wait..is this..." and everyone collectively nodded. Madina Lake. [/Exaggeration] Haha, I've not properly listened to it yet, it's been on in the background whilst I've been doing an essay. Though, with the collective opinion being a bit shite, I maye just give the CD back tomorrow. I've still got Yellowcard and Goldfrapp to listen to yet, are they (Yellowcard) any good? -- I'm addicted to "Moving to New York" by the Wombats. Dan_Dare
yellowcard are on the burnout soundtrack. their music makes me want to publicly execute those responsible in the street with a claw hammer.
Ashley
Yellowcard are alright. Lights and Sound is pretty catchy, and Two Weeks From Twenty is a nice little song.
