Otherwise we'll just have hoardes of older members assaulting the newer ones. And then we have messy situations. Good idea! Maybe there sould be an auyomatic PM when members join about forum conduct! They wouldn't like it if things were the other way around and we were leeching members from them, and I'm very disappointed in the way some members, some very popular members I might add, have been encouraging people to just jump ship. Sometimes I do wish we were a lot harsher like mods or admins in the past, but people complained then about "oh, you're being too harsh." We've been a million times more lenient than back then, and now we're getting told we were harsh again? What happened, happened. There should be no special treatment for the members who posted what they did no matter how long they have been here or how they had behaved previously. As for what happens now i think this thread should be locked and deleted, it can only cause controversy. Then a statement should be issued from the mods/admins about why people were banned in a separate locked thread and stickied to the top of the general board. Anybody who has a problem with this can send a PM to a mod/admin and get some closure. The staff themselves may not be dragging people over, and you might not be, but I sure as hell think others are. It's unfortunate that it had to turn out that way, it's a shame that people had to be banned but there wasn't much of a choice for the admins... It does sound like it was just a one-off thing even if it did spread to other threads though. I joined EuroFusion a week ago and haven't mentioned the site on here (until now) and vice versa.
