Oxigen_Waste Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 I wanted to say that, but I feared I was wrong and would be rediculed. I was a big fan of the show, back in the day... Some things, you never forget.
martinist Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 i loved that show, i hear they brought out crappy merchendice though
arab_freak Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 These are real people and this is a real incident, there are no lies told in this story. In Amman, there was a beautiful girl that was singing Karaoke at home happily, but when she was interrupted by her mother’s chanting of the Qur'an she got angry and went into her mother’s room. She shouted at her and then took her Qur'an and threw it. Her mother quickly fetched the book and hugged on to it to stop her from doing further damage to it. Unless it was a mistranslation, Muslims don't "chant" the Qur'an. We read it. Besides, the "picture" of the girl looks too professionally taken. She doesn't look like she lives on an island, nor does she look Asian.

I know plenty of muslims who do that. (granted, that's usually in a Mosque)
Roostophe Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 I think she needs to find 3 other, and get some motorbikes. You need three MICE, not rats. Stupid! MICE, with Martian Antennae on their heads.

(granted, that's usually in a Mosque) Meh. At least we now know it's a fake, since the image was originally made in a photoshop contest on a forum. The paper that published the article just made a whole new story out of it. You need three MICE, not rats. Stupid! MICE, with Martian Antennae on their heads.
Roostophe Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 Wwwhhhaaattt!!!one!!! What are you proving?
DCK Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 Hehe I loved the Bikermice, they were awesome. I'm off to play with my toy Vinny motorbike now.
arab_freak Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 Wwwhhhaaattt!!!one!!! What are you proving? I just thought it was appropriate to post it.
Roostophe Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 I just thought it was appropriate to post it. Aah. You just confused me, that's all.
Bren Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 That is actually a picture of caris's mother. Im sorry that you all had to see her.
arab_freak Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 I just found out that it isn't a photoshop. It's a sculpture by Australian Artist Patricia Piccinini. Here's another photo, albeit from a different angle.

Ashley Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 is that child real? If so, why isnt she crying in terror? Cause she knows its fake?
Eenuh Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 is that child real? If so, why isnt she crying in terror? Not a real child; it's part of the installation. Just checked the site of the artist and she has more of these humans she made. Like two boys playing GBA. Or a little girl with some disturbing looking flesh lumps on the ground that she's playing with.
MoogleViper Posted January 18, 2007 Posted January 18, 2007 is that child real? If so, why isnt she crying in terror? That child looks like she has the face of an adult. Scary.
The Bard Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 Those kids look well old. Like those kids from Akira.
MoogleViper Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 That sculptor is talented, but his work is really ugly.
Eenuh Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 That sculptor is talented, but his work is really ugly. Isn't the artist a woman?
MoogleViper Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 Isn't the artist a woman? I don't know. I just use he/his/him if I don't know the gender.
Zechs Merquise Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 the lobster people were real! http://www.worth1000.com/entries/16000/16183_w.jpg
