Charlie Posted January 8, 2007 Posted January 8, 2007 Online or they'll lose a customer per day BARE MINIMUM out of retaliation for lack of online games. Will lose out of millions of Wii sales if they don't start releasing online games soon. Lose a customer? Or just not get a new customer?
gaggle64 Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 God damn that looks tasty. Puts all these PS2 ports rightfully to shame.
Hero-of-Time Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 New screenshot. *Fires up Ride of the Valkyries*
ReZourceman Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 I never played the first one. Any good?
Hero-of-Time Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 I never played the first one. Any good? Brilliant game that was overlooked by many.
gaggle64 Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 I never played the first one. Any good? Yes, but by God in heaven it demanded a multiplayer. This, incidentally, will be among the first Wii games to have Online. FTFW.
ReZourceman Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 Hmmmm. Maybe I can look into getting it. I wonder who has it online.
david.dakota Posted February 22, 2007 Author Posted February 22, 2007 New screenshot. Looks glorious. I adored the first, and looking forward to BWii muchly. Its such a shame that it didn't do that well, but with Wii's increasing user base, hopefully BWii will show some healthy sales figures and ensure the series continues.
Nintenchris Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 Cant wait for this now... i hope we see it before the end of the summer. Hmm i think i might go back and play the first Battallion Wars again as i have fond memorys of the many hours getting my ass handed to me.
Goron_3 Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 Looks like they're actually trying to push the graphics here.
The Bard Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 I really can't wait for this game. I think this is going to be the game that really validates my buying a Wii (Zelda wasn't it.)
Owen Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 This looks great fun! At a guess, i would say it's out September 07 here, could be earlier though.
Zechs Merquise Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 Wow, this looks amazing. The graphics are sharp and stylish, and the original was amazing. This is a must have.
Gaijin von Snikbah Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 Can you really fly all over the map or are you restricted within areas?
McMad Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 New screenshot. Considering that's Stonehenge it's probable that one of the new armies will resemble England (e.g. western frontier = North America) and that there'll be missions with maps that are similar to our countryside.
Teppo Holmqvist Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 At a guess, i would say it's out September 07 here, could be earlier though. Q2 is current plan, as it should be first online title.
DiemetriX Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 This game is going to be great. Awesome graphic style in those new pictures. Should I buy the old one or wait for the new one?
McMad Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 Can you really fly all over the map or are you restricted within areas? Yeah you could fly anywhere in the maps in the orginal. It feels a lot like the experience you get in Battlefield when flying aircrafts but the controls aren't as sensitive.

I believe Kuju are being 'inspired' by the current war in Iraq. Taken from IGN: Tricked into believing that the Solar Empire is developing a devastating super-weapon, Commander Pierce and Colonel Windsor of the Anglo Isles launch a pre-emptive strike on the Coral Atolls. The world is once again at war. Hopefully, we'll see a bit more of the morality of war. PS, i'm selling the DS version of Wars, click my signature for details
McMad Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 Cool, I never saw that on IGN, well the Anglo Isles are obviously Britain but in the original the Solar Empire was meant to be Japan, so I don't think it's directly mimicking the Iraq War. I have a good feeling about this game, after a fantastic original it can only get better, especially with online play.

I hope not. That would be like Arnold Schwarznegger doing a film about a war-crimes tribunal for all the gangester/terroists/2-bit punks he's ever blown away.
That Guy Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 Brilliant game that was overlooked by many. I sold it on too soon before I'd given it a real chance. I did enjoy it at first but I didn't play log enough to learn the game. Looking forward to this.

Oh and being able to play the whole game as Xylvania, they were awesome.
