The3rdChildren Posted December 29, 2006 Posted December 29, 2006 Would anyone else here eat a panda just to be controversial?
Dan_Dare Posted December 29, 2006 Posted December 29, 2006 you know what? yes. I reckon they might be quite tasty.
The3rdChildren Posted December 29, 2006 Posted December 29, 2006 you know what? yes. I reckon they might be quite tasty. Any endangered species would go down a treat, I reckon.
Dan_Dare Posted December 29, 2006 Posted December 29, 2006 clearly. It's like danger food- you might get busted by the WWF during Front row on Radio 4.
Guest Stefkov Posted December 29, 2006 Posted December 29, 2006 Here's your answer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rnapzB-4tAk I wanted to find that vid but never got round to it. Will be going on my phone that. Pandas probably dont make a noise because when they do make a noise they will scare themselves, they realised what they actually sounded like so then end up killing themselves from shock. Thats why they're endangered.
Balfron Posted December 29, 2006 Posted December 29, 2006 "not buy bamboo" Did you know there are 20 types of bamboo in China but giant pandas will only eat 2 of them? There is no nutritional reason for this... they just seem to be picky! Also mother pandas will hold babies in their paws for a long time after they are born, rarely putting them down. This leaves them very exposed! If a panda has twins or triplets she will either kill or abandon all of them except one. Pandas are only on heat at certain times, and often fail to mate because they can't find another panda when they are on heat. Pandas have been shown 'panda porn' at a zoo to teach them to mate, and it seems to be working! That's all I know about pandas:p
Fierce_LiNk Posted December 29, 2006 Posted December 29, 2006 Pandas have been shown 'panda porn' at a zoo to teach them to mate, and it seems to be working! Hahahah! I posted a thread about that not so long ago. From the outside, we must look like a right bunch of perverts. And rightfully so! Bring on the pandas, I say!
Shino Posted December 29, 2006 Posted December 29, 2006 Unfortunately their cuteness can't save them from what seems to be a evolutionary dead end. Thank Science there's humans.
Dan_Dare Posted December 29, 2006 Posted December 29, 2006 with any luck, we can help them out they're quality animals and need to be bred in large enough numbers so me and guy can justify eating one.
CVD Posted December 29, 2006 Posted December 29, 2006 Forget pandas, it's the seals we have to cull first...
KKOB Posted December 29, 2006 Author Posted December 29, 2006 Forget pandas, it's the seals we have to cull first... N-E goes Seal Clubbing lol "not buy bamboo" Did you know there are 20 types of bamboo in China but giant pandas will only eat 2 of them? harribo Posted December 29, 2006 Posted December 29, 2006 They make all kinds of great sounds -- barks, squeals, bleats and chirps. They bark when they feel threatened, for example. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/liveonline/00/metro/pandas011001.htm
mcj metroid Posted December 29, 2006 Posted December 29, 2006 pandas are so cute...................AWWWWWWW! I want one.
KKOB Posted December 30, 2006 Author Posted December 30, 2006 I wonder what Panda tastes like? cute . . . if it was a flavour.
bob Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 OMG, i want a tiny black and white Panda!!!!! best pet EVER!!!! also pretty expensive cos you'll need fresh bamboo Actually not, since bamboo is the fastest growing plant on the planet, so just grow some specially for it. One species (although admittedly not the one the pandas like) grows up to a foot a day.
Supergrunch Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 Well, if we look on the internets: http://runoverbythetruth.blogspot.com/2005/12/i-like-pandas.html Scroll down and look at the comments, and you should see: Do you know the noise th babies make when they first make noise? Its like a little "Burgh!" type noise and is soooo cute. So there we have it, for babies at least... or not.
Meik Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 I don't really know. I'll ask Cubechris later. Here's your answer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rnapzB-4tAk That video makes me laugh every single time I watch it.
