  1. Just saw the price of the new characters and stages. It's just too much for me to pay as a casual player of SSB. Some sort of season pass offering a chunky discount would have been handy.
  2. We only got 4 years out of the GameCube, right? So a four year life span for the Wii U, while isn't great, is hardly unheard of.
  3. [tweet]611265858611101696[/tweet] After not getting one when I was younger, I finally picked up a Wavebird.
  4. I just got this email too. Gutted. Makes you wonder how far in advance GAME knew but kept it underwraps to stop people jumping to the Collector's Edition on Amazon. Warner Bros and the retailers had to know before today.
  5. Well I enjoyed it. I thought it was fun and I liked most of what they showed. Not sure we needed to see quite so much of Mario Maker or Yoshi's Woolly World though.
  6. Viva Pinata Pocket Paradise was a Nintendo DS game. Is the inclusion in your list just an error?
  7. During the presentation they said it was just up to the publishers to say yes and then they can push a button to enable it. I hope that's true. Xbox emulation on the 360 was a nightmare and barely worked.
  8. So is the collector's edition exclusive to GAME? Really don't want to be giving them any money, especially as a deposit. Plus I don't have a Facebook account so won't be able to make use of their Fallout club nonsense. Missed it anyway! PC version is sold out.
  9. Please don't be our Metroid replacement. Please be a feint and it's a minigame in Hunters 2 or something.
  10. So it is. Far too excited, got confused with the far less interesting Microsoft one. At least I'm prepared for tomorrow!
  11. So is today's Nintendo Direct going to be on UStream like usual or Twitch? Going to be travelling home from work at that time so I need to prepare now.
  12. Crackdown is far from an open world shooter but let's not get into that. Back on the topic of Nintendo, I'm still hoping we get to see a good Metroid game. I'm also hoping that the Starfox game has developed past just being a tech demo. As sad as this is, and something I thought I'd never be saying, but I'd like to see some more Mario Kart 8 DLC. What would make me disappointed is if the Hyrule Warriors 3DS leak is the only surprise they had in store for us. I'd be less than thrilled with the oft rumoured Super Mario Galaxy HD.
  13. When did the Official Nintendo Store start charging £2 for delivery?
  14. What's the point of the roller in the local multiplayer? The whole point is to shoot the balloons but the roller has very little range.
  15. Locally I play about once a week when I meet up with friends. I play online about two or three times a year. Only thing I have played online this year is the Splatoon Global Test Fire. Edit: Thinking about it I play locally more than once a week as I play with my Nephews when I see them during the week.
  16. They couldn't even be bothered to do us Europeans a Direct. That's disappointing. We just get a press release saying this is how items raised in the direct will impact us.
  17. Just an update to this. I finally caved and bought a Samus themed PDP controller. While I still stand by my initial impressions that it doesn't feel as nice as the Hori one, I just couldn't resist a Metroid style controller. I've taken some photos of the different controllers but I'll hide it in a spoiler tag so it doesn't get in the way.
  18. Is there any confirmation that Nintendo have been involved with this at all? It could just be the developers using their own personal keys.
  19. It was actually through their own crowd funding site. This is still an important statement though. If anybody ever backs something on Kickstarter or any crowd funding platform, you need to understand that you're not just buying a product. You're backing an idea. If they can't do it with the money they've raised, that's it. Not a great thing to happen but it can and has happened. If you want guarantees buy it when it's actually for sale.
  20. That's really good, even if the way it makes it look you have a choice is a bit naughty. The entire package is 32GB Black Wii U + The Legend of Zelda Wind Waker + Fifa 13 + Mario & Sonic at the 2014 Winter Olympic Games + Metroid: Other M + Wii Quiz Party for £180. Makes me cringe when I think how much I paid for the Wii U back on launch day. At least I've had a lot of fun out of it since then. Also puts it into perspective when you realise £180 is how much the Wii actually launched for.
  21. It's not a HDD at all, and that's the problem. If the OS isn't stored on ROM somewhere, it's possible they chose a solid state solution to speed up the home menu loading. It's also possible they just wanted to keep size down or power consumption.
  22. Yeah the Rakuten site is having a bit of a melt down.
  23. This has actually started to bug me as they've shown they can interact with the GamePad buttons on the digital downloads of Wii games (currently just Pandora's Tower I think).
  24. Managed to order all three. I think the real reason they lasted slightly longer this time is because it wasn't announced in advance.
  25. I don't think that's really a 'price cut'. That's Tesco lowering the price and Amazon price matching, which they always do. I wish it was a price cut as I'm sitting on £150 worth of GAME vouchers which I want to spend on a new XL and really don't want to give GAME any additional cash.
