My Nintendo ( Club Nintendo Successor )
V. Amoleo replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Shame can't set an already owned product to download to device. Has to be a new purchase as far as I can see. -
Considering it requires the Wiimote pointer buying it for however much they're charging on the VC is pointless. Just pick up the physical version from Argos for £4.
-
Alien Isolation did have VR support when they were showing it off pre-release. But they dropped support for it. It used to be possible to unofficially add it back in on the PC version though. Who told you that?

If we're talking from a purely commercial term of success. The next Nintendo home console would need to have Fifa and Call of Duty which have parity with those available on PlayStation/Xbox. To get third parties on board they need to have a console that has an incredibly easy development path so that games can be ported easily. To make those games sell though, they'd need to improve their online massively. Really annoys me to say all that because I don't like Fifa and rarely play Call of Duty. And the amount of times I play online per year can be counted on one hand!

There's an error in the leaflet which comes with the Steelbook. See if you can spot it!

Anybody else getting no sound at all out of their rear speakers on this game?
-
I dunno if they've improved performance since the demo build but playing the first level on a New Nintendo 3DS XL with 3D on seems to give me the same performance as on the Wii U. With the character switching I might even go as far to say that this is actually the best way to play Hyrule Warriors...

Just got my Limited Edition. The watch is at least better than the scarf was.

And yet some how I ended up ordering a HTC Vive which is even more expensive. I've got to admit the roomscale VR drew me in. Plus it's backed by Valve and they seem pretty serious about Steam VR. I put a pre-order down on the PS VR too because, even though it's relatively low spec'd, I think it'll get the most traction out of the three and thus the most games.

This thread is getting scary. That gamepad concept is horrible. It's a bad shape and the gimmick of the whole pad being the screen is pointless. It'd be like Nintendo looking at how smartphones work and then only taking the parts that people don't like. Obscuring the screen with your hands and no physical buttons. Having a handheld and console which are the same device is also a bad idea. They'd both be hobbled devices. The idea of two devices that have a similar development path so that skills can be transferable is a great idea though, so hopefully the rumours are just a corruption of that.

I'm sort of counting on there being an incremental PS4 upgrade as I want a UHD Blu-ray player but I don't want another device under the TV. So swapping out my current PS4 would be perfect. I'd also not be too concerned if they internally had the breakout box for the PSVR, as long as it's compatible with the one they're releasing in October. Giving more resource for games is okay too. We'd probably just be in a situation like with the New Nintendo 3DS where the extra performance is never really used.

This is something I've always wanted for the Metroid series. Yes Samus is the main player in the series but there's so much potential in the world. It needs to be explored from a different point of view.
-
Before the Direct I wasn't going to pick this game up but after it I'm fully intending to. Using Blast Ball to introduce the game last year was a really bad idea. Yes the art style isn't exactly Metroid but by doing stylised visuals it means you don't focus on how technically weak the 3DS is getting. As someone who considers Super Metroid to be in the top 5 games ever... Where's my Metroid Dread??!?!

Why is the logo so low resolution on the Demo? Looks amateurish.

That's actually a really good article and I'm going to give it a full read later on, so thanks for that. From just skimming it over, I don't particularly agree that it applies in this case as Nintendo's emulation isn't 100% perfect. It's damn close but that article is specifically about getting it spot on.

I hope just trying to force a half upgrade on users isn't the only reason they're making the SNES VC exclusive to the new 3DS. Though homebrew does already have a working SNES emulator on all 3DS systems... The new Kirby game looks fun. I hope adding RPG elements to everything isn't Nintendo's idea of adding depth though, probably just a coincidence that there was a lot of that today. The new Kirby amiibos look nice! Hopefully they're backwards compatible with the Smash Bros ones like how the Mario Series are. Overall I enjoyed that Nintendo Direct. Everything was looking nice, they've cleared up some things. Not a mention of Twilight Princess as far as I could see!

SNES VC only on the new Nintendo 3DS? I guess there has to be technical reasons for it, just a bit surprised that there would be.
-
From the Federation Force video it seems like they really listened to what people were complaining about. They've explained it much better than the last time we saw it.
-
Federation Force is actually looking better now.

I like how Shibata is always up for a laugh.

A season pass for Hyrule Warrior's Legends? The season pass was actually worth it on Hyrule Warriors but seems crazy that they still have more content to add into Legends.

NEShow Special Episode 2 - Zelda | Zelda | Zelda
V. Amoleo replied to Ashley's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Usually I can't stand watching YouTube videos from gaming communities (I think I'm just too old for it!) but the NES was really enjoyable and easy to watch. Well done to everyone involved! -
The forum on the iPad seems to be showing a default mobile version rather than the desktop site now. Only started happening with the host change. I bet the dedicated host is costing you guys a lot more than the previous host. It'll be worth it in the long run though. Edit: Button right at the bottom of the screen lets me go back to desktop, woop!
