  1. We don't have a thread for Star Trek in general but I thought it might be worth mentioning this Deep Space Nine documentary on IndieGoGo. It's got most of the cast involved as well as the showrunner. Unfortunately we're likely to get get stung by import fees for the physical Blu-ray. On the topic of Star Trek Discovery. The below came up today.
  2. Just read in a different thread that you have a Pro now. How are you finding the VR using it?
  3. This game has hooked me much more than I thought it would. I find myself playing it whenever I get five minutes during the day. I wonder if they ever considered making a 3DS version to go along with the iOS and Android ones.
  4. Black Sabbath tonight so:
  5. I'm getting no sound on an iPhone 6S Plus iOS 10.2.1. Anybody else facing this?
  6. I interpreted their statement as they're hoping to get a version done for the Switch and they're currently working with Nintendo to see if they can. It almost sounds as if they don't have a dev kit for it yet, so it's not even being worked on. I'm still planning on switching my backing to the Switch though!
  7. Which option are other people picking? Steam + ToyBox Plus PS4 or Xbox One Switch Refund Still weird they're not being very definitive about releasing it on the Switch. Are they doing it or not? Are they trying to see if the numbers who select it will be enough to justify the port?
  8. It took me a while to finally find something of use. It was from here. You're right in saying that the Switch will still charge while plugged into a normal USB charger, it'll just do it slower. I'm don't think it'd be enough to run the Switch in TV mode though. Hopefully we'll find out soon enough if it's USB PD, QuickCharge or some propriety setup (please no!). I'm hoping for USB PD.
  9. @Rummy 15 volts, 2.6 amps, 39 watts. This means that the power supply is outputting at USB PD or Qualcomm's USB Quick Charge levels. So if I were to run it from my wall socket it'd likely not work correctly. Either it'd run in portable mode, drain faster than it could charge or not work at all. Hopefully we'll find out before release if it's PD or QC, I already have a power hub installed that supports PD.
  10. I can't remember if you ended up getting a PS4 Pro or not, but do you know if Resi 7 has a Pro mode? It sounds like I'm going to have to pick it up.
  11. I think I'm in the same group as Happenstance. I never used to use it on my phone but since I've had an Echo it's certainly becoming more 'normal' for me.
  12. Anybody had chance to pick up Resident Evil 7 yet?
  13. Gutted that Microsoft are dropping the ability to snap in the next Xbox One update. I use that a lot.
  14. I contacted Denon about this and they said that the NES Mini outputs in 8bit RGB while the front HDMI only supports YCbCr420. I know we don't talk about modifications to consoles here, so I won't give details, but it's very interesting how a single developer has been able to make it so that the NES Mini can hold a lot more games now. It's a shame Nintendo hadn't worked something out like this for themselves.
  15. That depends on which USB standard you're talking about unfortunately. There's standard USB (which is 5v/500ma), USB BC (which is usually 5v/1.5a) and then finally there's USB PD (which has a varying voltage and ampage, found on MacBooks). It doesn't help that USB C can be used on USB 2-3.1 and any of the power standards, so that doesn't help me narrow it down. My wall plugs are USB BC. If we look at the NVIDIA Shield, which uses similar internals, the tablet device is USB BC and works with a normal phone charger. While the TV device uses a barrel connector and a voltage other than 5v.
  16. Yeah both the dock and Switch are USB C connectors. I was just wondering if it'd run directly from a wall socket that I have with USB outs so that I don't have to have yet another plug in an extension. They're rated at 1.5amp which is enough to charge an iPad. Just seems weird to imagine powering a console from it.
  17. Is the Titanfall quote that is being thrown around the one which originated on Drunk Tech Review? Because, maybe it's just the way I'm reading the posts, but some people here seem to be taking that literally. As in, there's not enough storage space. But the dev was definitely on about the system being underpowered when compared to the current generation of consoles. I thought by now we were over wanting ports of competing consoles games. Getting third parties to make games tailored for the console means we get more interesting games rather than the 'same-old'. Yeah, it means we get less games. But quality is better than quantity. This rumoured Rabbids/Mario RPG sounds interesting. I wonder when we'll hear more about it.
  18. This is going to be a massively boring question but does anybody know the rating of the Nintendo Switch power supply?
  19. Is this why it's free for a few months? Because it doesn't exist?
  20. The 3DS layout is my favourite. Only issue I have is that I wish it shuffled icons when rearranging rather than swapping.
  21. I think that's more akin to the menu what pops up when you press Home, isn't it? It says Close Software bottom right. I didn't think about this at all. Maybe they'll release a d-pad version of the left Joy-Con in the future? Or perhaps we'll get third party covers for the buttons like the PSP used to.
  22. There's not much else they could do. The Joy-Cons had to mirror each other. Pro Controller has a proper d-pad though!
  23. I know what you're saying, and I'm guessing that you don't actually mean you wish less people had the chance to play the game, but you could see this as being just like Hyrule Warriors being on the console and handheld. Remember, Nintendo are saying the Switch is a home console. They even mentioned it a couple of times in the Direct.
  24. Lots really. Which characters are going to be in it? Which land will it take place in? What's the plot going to be like? Will it support amiibos? Hyrule Warriors was a great game with a lot of differences to Dynasty Warriors.
  25. First time Android is getting prioritised over iOS too. Yeah I switched to iOS last year mostly because it looked like Nintendo were favouring the platform (Miyamoto did a speech on stage! We've not seen him do anything in a Direct for a while now!).
