  1. I couldn't find the Xbox 360 discussion thread. The Xbox 360 will be getting support for up to 2TB external HDDs later this year.
  2. Now @Happenstance has found an Uncharted Trilogy remaster is likely in the works.
  3. I haven't even started this series even though I've been buying them since the first was released.
  4. I need all of them. Seriously though the price is a little bit too high. Probably would have been better off adding an NFC base to their new normal Lego sets. I also think we're hitting critical toys-to-life game levels. Skylanders, Disney Infinity, amiibo and now Lego Dimensions.
  5. Now that more details are coming out for this has anybody heard if this will have a splitscreen multiplayer mode? Playing RSV1&2 in splitscreen has been on my friends-over-for-gaming rotation since they were released.
  6. It looks so good and the real use of the Wii U Gamepad should be commended. I really hope it makes the developers enough money for it to have been worth doing it for the Wii U.
  7. Human Revolution was really good. To the point where I want to pick up the Wii U version just to give me an excuse to play it again! Already have it on PC, PS3 and Director's Cut on PC though! If this stays at the high quality of Human Revolution, I will be very very pleased.
  8. It's been about five years since I've done a full build but I'm pretty much in a ' ' where I've changed every component since then so it's not really the same PC. I'm really of the opinion that these days you don't need to go water cooled unless you're pushing some serious voltage through the CPU. Basic overclocking should be fine air cooled. Though I recommend changing the stock fan for one of the Cooler Master Hyper Series fans. A lot of people will recommend an i5 over an i7 because they're so much cheaper but, if you have the cash, I would go for an i7 (i7-4790) because it'll handle whatever you throw at it for a good few years to come. In terms of graphics card, I'm using a NVIDIA GTX 970. Relatively power efficient for when you're posting on n-europe but is still a killer when it comes to playing games. As for RAM I would say getting 16GB would be the least to buy these days. More is always better. You'd look to be paying about £100-£120 for 1600 DDR3 at a CL 9 or 10. There is faster RAM but you have to make sure your motherboard supports it. Now assuming you just want one graphics card, I would probably suggest a motherboard such as GA-H97-HD3. That'd cost you about £80. Has 4 RAM slots for up to 32GB RAM, a single PCI-E 3.0 x16 (as well as a full length x1 socket which could be used for a PhysX card), 6 SATA connections, 4 rear USB 3 connections. Next up is the PSU, you probably already know but don't go cheap on this. It's up to you if you go for a modular PSU or not. I don't personally use them because I end up using all the cables anyway. You'll probably be looking to spend about £70-80 on this. I like the Corsair brand but I've heard they're mostly rebrands of Seasonic, so it might be cheaper to look at them instead. Buy a SSD to use as a boot drive. Currently I have an SSD for a boot drive, a secondary small SSD drive to install games (usually just one!) onto to speed up loading and a HDD for rest of my programs. Any SSD will be an improvement over a HDD. A basic Kingston 128GB SATA3 SSD will cost about £45 and work perfectly as a boot drive. A bit more flashy (SSD-pun!) OCZ 120GB SATA3 SSD will cost about ~£75. As for your 'other' drive a 2TB WD Blue will cost you about ~£45. Windows 8.1 is currently £80 on Amazon. And everyone will get an update to Windows 10 when it is released, so it's not a worry that you're buying into the OS late. Cases are really down to personal choice but I recommend getting one as big as you can so it's not fiddly to install everything into. I don't think I've forgotten anything... CPU Fan: ~£20 CPU: ~£240 Graphics Card: ~£290 RAM: ~£120 Motherboard: ~£80 PSU: ~£75 SSD: ~£45 HDD: ~£45 Windows 8.1: £80 Total: £995. Just under your budget but doesn't include a case or monitor. Remember all the prices I've quoted are approximate so you could probably get it down a bit more by looking around. Can cut the cost down further by buying a basic version of the NVIDIA GTX 970 with a reference cooler, it'll be noisier but it's the same chipset at the end of the day. There's probably some movement to be had in the RAM price too. Could always buy it without heatsinks but DDR3 does get very warm, so make sure it at least has a heat spreader. If you want to start cutting performance to save money the first thing would probably to go from an i7 to an i5. For games there's not going to be a huuuge difference at the minute and with the console CPUs being relatively weak I can't see that changing any time soon. Could probably get a 1TB HDD instead of 2TB, but try to not get an 'eco' drive such as the WD Green. Hope that helps!
  9. I've also pre-ordered this now. The last Direct pushed me over into wanting it. I really hope there is a fully fledged single player and it's not just there to tick a box like I was worried it was.
  10. So I actually went to the effort of importing this game from the US. Because I've used applications on the Wii to run NTSC games on my PAL Wii in the past I thought it'd be plain sailing. So I put the disc in and loaded it up. Unfortunately... none of the classic games work. I've got a feeling it's because the classic games are included as if they were VC games, that is to say, as a separate executable. Little bit gutted really. At least all the stuff I can get to is nice.
  11. This should be made clearer. Perhaps marking the ZR menu as 'Virtual Console - Sleep Mode'. I don't think this will help the Zelda puzzles though as their clues still wouldn't suggest sleep mode.
  12. The release of N64 games on the Wii U has made an old bug reappear. When playing N64 games the Wii U always reports that it's sending 6 channel LPCM. As with the Wii mode this needs to be changed to send two channel so that those games that support Dolby Pro Logic can be decoded correctly.
  13. Have to admit that I was up for buying it until I saw the price. I'll get it eventually just not immediately.
  14. Haha, of course! That too! I blame it being a Saturday night.
  15. They really do need to add button remapping for the DS games. I do like all the choices for display modes though. Did Mario Kart DS always give you an american phone number to call when an error pops up or is it the american version of the game that we're playing? The DS games looks much rougher than the N64 games but I guess that's down to the difference in emulation. One thing that Mario Kart DS shows is that the draw distance on that game was really good. The cars don't seem to 'pop in'.
  16. It's a shame the 200cc update won't be adding item collecting while holding an item behind you.
  17. So Pandora's Tower is the first Wii game on the Wii U which allows you to play the game using a classic controller which will mean we'll get to see how they work using the GamePad. I'm still thinking that a Wii U OS update will be required to be able to do this and I'm hoping that this functionality will carry over to disc games.
  18. Anybody played this since it's release on Thursday? Comes with Mighty Gunvolt until 3rd July.
  19. Yeah I'm definitely going to buy the two new games. Mansion has to be my favourite StreetPass game so far.
  20. Pre-order for the edition with the amiibo is currently up at Smyths for £50. It's been posted on HUKD so will probably sell quickly. It's worth noting that Smyths say they don't take the money until despatch and it's easy to cancel pre-orders as there's a big "cancel order" button in your account. Hopefully other sites will beat this price but with the current amiibo situation I thought it best to alert you all. They also have the Yarn amiibos available for £11. Blue (Green pictured). Blue. Pink. I thought these would be more expensive than the Super Mario amiibos.
  21. I'm guessing we've all read the other threads detailing the additions to this but thought it was worth updating the main thread with the details. As announced the 1 April 2015 Nintendo Direct two new games and a Premium mode are coming to StreetPass Plaza. The first game is StreetPass Fishing which is a fishing game where you get bait from each person you StreetPass with. While the second game is StreetPass Zombies where you fight zombies using items received from people you StreetPass. They're being released 16 April 2015 and will cost £4.50 each or £7.50 for the two. StreetPass Mii Plaza Premium adds the ability to store Miis and exchange birthday dates. This will cost £4.50. I think that Mii Plaza Premium is the first time I've looked at Nintendo DLC and thought that they're ripping people off.
  22. Really enjoyed the Nintendo Direct. My only dislike moment was Streetpass VIP. What exactly does that offer which would make it worth a purchase? Fatal Frame looked good, I hope people actually buy it. Also: Please bring DS game downloads to the 3DS. Please please please.
  23. I really don't mind the delay on the Zelda game. We'll get it eventually and we've all heard this:
  24. A portable version of that gem of a game would be excellent.
  25. Gutted that I missed that Qwertee Link/Indy mash up, @Hero\-of\-Time. Will have to keep my eye on it in case it comes back up. I should be going to EGX in Birmingham this year too! I was gutted that Rezzed moved down south, didn't think it'd be because they were bringing Expo up to the Midlands. Anyway, this is what I've bought: [tweet]580722399991189504[/tweet]
