I hope they're not packaged per character because that means no matter where you pre-ordered from you're going to end up 'wasting money' if you want to get all of the costumes.

How are your Link amiibos? Is one better than the other?

Completely forgot I ordered this. Arrived today. Which is a bit unfortunate considering it's Smash Bros & Pokemon day.

I'm hoping the supermarkets will be all over them. The Skylanders and Disney Infinity sections in my local Tesco Extra are bigger than the rest of the gaming section.

After they took money out of my account without authorisation I'm done with them.

ShopTo are rubbish and borderline conmen in my past experience with them. I've yet to use them since! What's more concerning is that there doesn't seem to be any in shops or any space in shops for them to go.

Mine arrived from the Nintendo Store today as well. As it's part of The Hut Group I wasn't expecting it so I don't even have time to play it today! Booooo

After seeing these photos I've cancelled some of my pre-orders. Really will have to go into store and pick the best one.

I'm fine with amiibos unlocking content (like the Spinner in Hyrule Warriors) as long as it's added AFTER the release of the game like any other DLC. If they're unlocking stuff on the disc, it's just as bad as buying DLC to unlock what's on the disc

Maybe it's because I use public transport to commute. The only information it has for those is static and doesn't hook into the live bus timetables so it's of little use when I can set Tasker up to give me live updates as I'm commuting. I can still use OK Google to take notes/set reminders/get the weather for the day though, at least I can via the Moto 360. Update on Nexus 4 with Lollipop installed: Battery really is terrible now. It's only happened since I installed Lollipop but it could also be the new Gmail app that Google pushed out around the same time.

Yes, my Nexus 4 didn't have it by default but my NVIDIA Shield Tablet seems to have it (or one very similar) by default. Weird. I'm not a fan of Google Now, it just seemed to waste battery and never actually do anything particularly useful. So I never use it.

Flashed Lollipop to my Nexus 4 a few days ago. Really impressed with some of the changes (smart lock + NFC ring = awesome!) but the battery seems to be draining significantly faster. I hope it levels out again. There's also some weird things happening with the Moto 360. When connected the phone is supposed to be silent, and if I press the volume buttons it says the volume has been locked by Android wear, but when ever a notification/call happens it makes a sound! Hopefully that gets sorted out. I've found that I'm only using Tasker now to turn off Auto Synch over night when it comes to 'system' tasks. Just got the OTA of Lollipop for my NVIDIA Shield Tablet so will see how that is. I pre-ordered the Nexus 6 from Amazon this morning and still feel a bit ill for dropping so much money on a phone. I guess I have until December to think about it. Update: The launcher is completely different on the Shield to the one on my Nexus 4. How does other people's Nexus 4 launchers look? Still black like KitKat? The one on the Shield looks like the Google Now Launcher, without the Google Now panel on the left.

Personally I wouldn't ever go with Samsung again after all of the products I've ever owned by them have broken after about 13 months. I'm also not a big fan of curved TVs. Maybe they need to grow on me but at the minute, when I've had chance to view one, I've always felt like the picture isn't right. I think it's just a 'gimmick' to try and make the TVs seem more different to the man-on-the-street. Ultra HD is the way forward but until there is a video format to keep up with it, I think it's going to remain very niche. The bitrate on Netflix's Ultra HD streams are just too low. Then you have the current crop of consoles which are struggling to output 1080p. So it'll likely be a generation (maybe even two!) before the consoles start aiming for Ultra HD. It's possible to have a PC to play games at this resolution and if you own one it'd be a lot easier to recommend a Ultra HD TV. Thankfully Full HD goes nicely into Ultra HD when upscaling (each pixel becomes 4) so there won't be any real 'intelligence' needed to show current Full HD content on them. So current 1080p images shouldn't have the same issues as 480p/576i upscaling to 1080p. I still wish OLED had taken off better than it has outside of the mobile market. The contrast ratio on them are immense, though they can suffer from not being bright enough. LG seem to be the only people pushing it and all of the ones they do produce are curved I think. So a Ultra HD TV will be getting you ready for the future but that future could be quite some time away.

Not exactly what you mean but Loot Crate are working on a sort of subscription service which is said to include amiibos and related goodies. Their boxes become fairly expensive when being sent to the UK though.

I think they put themselves into a bit of a corner with this first batch being based on Super Smash Bros. Hopefully the next batch will have more sensible poses. It's not stopping me buying these though. Though I may have cancelled my order of Luigi if I was actually able to. He looks silly with that plastic wedge. Anybody else hoping for a Mario Kart set with them in Karts?

Considering picking up a transparent 2DS to add to the collection. I keep telling myself that I really shouldn't but those pictures make it look so nice.

Luigi Hat Mario Hat Hylian Shield Backpack

It's a shame they're not including Reach and ODST. I know they're not part of the main storyline but they're my personal favourites (along with Halo 4!). The new CG cutscenes are looking very nice, with the size of the game plus the patch I think this is the first time I'm going to have to uninstall something on the Xbox One to actually play the game.

P.N. 03 is probably the worst console game I own but I haven't played it in years so it may not be as bad as I remember.

Surely they've reached the limit with EA Access at the moment though. What games have they released on the Xbox One? Battlefield 4 FIFA 14 Madden NFL 25 NBA Live 14 Need for Speed: Rivals Peggle 2 Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare Titanfall Madden NFL 15 NHL 15 FIFA 15 The last three haven't been out long so the only two left are NBA Live 14 and Titanfall. Maybe we'll get NBA next, but I would only expect it when they release a new version. And Titanfall? Isn't (wasn't?) that a big seller on the Xbox One? I can't see them putting it in the program that fast.
