  1. It wasn't Wii Remote support, it was the Gamepad. You can obviously use the Gamepad while playing on the TV, but Switch can't use the touchscreen while docked... Well. Unless they added an option to use a second Switch as a makeshift Gamepad... (there's a couple of Switch games that do just that)
  2. Should note that Severed is only playable in handheld/tabletop mode...
  3. That's really awesome! So glad to see him get recognised for his fantastic work!
  4. He's basically admitting there that they nixed local save backups in order to prevent piracy (which makes sense, seeing as how the 3DS and Wii U were initially hacked thanks to save hacks and web browser exploits - both of which were nixed from Switch). The obvious answer to the problem is cloud saves; but that probably won't come until the paid service launches (cloud saves come with a cost on their end after all).
  5. Damn, sorry to hear about that. You'll have to ring Nintendo to deactivate your old Switch before you can redownload the games onto your new one; there's currently no way to deactivate your console remotely by yourself. After it has been deactivated though, it's just a matter of logging into the eShop on your new Switch and redownloading everything.
  6. Well that's nice to see some support from S-E. Not terribly interested in this one (not a fan of Minecraft at all), but I'm glad to see them give Switch some support (even if it's just taking over the Vita's role).
  7. Pro-tip: Apparantly you CAN actually use that controller in portable/tabletop mode by plugging it into a USB A to C adapter and then plugging that directly into the USB-C port on the Switch itself. Honestly surprised that works! I'm gonna wait for the 8-bitdo one though. I want one that works wirelessly (and wired). Edit: The next batch of 6 upcoming ACA NeoGeo games has just been announced Hamster are killing it! Will buy all of them!
  8. Still need to get that Hori stand... Those shots are making me super jelly... Also want this...
  9. They probably did this to help when playing online via public WiFi/4G teathering. Seems like a sensible choice considering the use case. They have LAN support for serious competitive play anyway.

Here's hoping the port is good. Supposedly had some performance issues on other platforms, but Tantalus do good work, so I'm confident that it's in good hands.
  11. Wow... @S.C.G, I am so sorry... I can only scarcely imagine the feeling when you get hit by a Blue Shell when you're in 8th place... and then hit by a bullet bill right afterwards... That's definitely a first! Never seen that happen in Mario Kart before!
  12. Ooh! Paging @S.C.G, looks like someone else is throwing their hat into the ring with some arcade game ports on Switch! http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1414717 Zerodiv are bringing two games from Psikyo to Switch today, namely Strikers 1945 (Previously on SEGA Saturn and PS1 in Japan only) And Gunbarich (never before released outside of Arcades) Both seemingly £5.99. Well that's random, but very welcome! Always down for more Arcade games on Switch! (Now I just need 8bitdo to hurry up with their wireless arcade stick for Switch...) Edit: Well speak of the devil... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B073ZNXFL6?tag=viglink20241-20 Comes put August 20th and it's fully moddable with Sanwa parts!! Awesome!!
  13. IN! for the greatest, worsest night ever!
  14. They'd probably have you pause to fill the map in. Not a huge deal, considering that you'd have to stop to fill it in anyway. The lack of touch screen controls when playing on TV would suck something fierce though.
  15. I know that they want to make this on the cheap and re-use their existing assets/engine from Persona Q1/the Etrian Odyssey series, but it really is very late in the game for yet another 3DS release. They really should've ported it over, even if it looks cheap and ropey on Switch. Just look at how poorly DQ11 has done on 3DS (relative to series expectations). 3DS is on its last legs now. Switch really should be the home for their lineup now. Same with this new dancing spinoff. The fact that they choose Vita over Switch at this point is just baffling.
  16. On a similar matter... Disappointing result for the 3DS, but a fantastic result for PS4. S-E really did release it far too late for 3DS... Makes you wonder how much Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon are going to suffer now... Edit: Switch sold 90K last week in Japan!!! Halleluliah! It looks like Nintendo have finally started improving supplies of Switch consoles!
  17. It'll most likely be based on the PC version, like the PS4/Xbone versions are. More importantly, cross fingers that we get Wii Remote style aiming with the Joycons!
  18. See, now that's more like it! That's more or less how I would envision it. Gimme that Nintendo!
  19. Revelations 2 is garbage. I hated my time with it. Such a disapointment. Revelations 1 however is great and I will gladly buy it again (should also run at 60FPS on Switch, so it'll play better than ever!) Hopefully it supports Wii Remote style aiming with the Joy-cons! I'm really waiting for RE4 on Switch though... Come on Capcom! You've put it out on everything else already! Give me portable RE4! Revelations 2 is about 23GB on PC, so that's likely why. Both games combined would require a 32GB card and Capcom probably aren't willing to pony up for the more expensive Game Card.
  20. You have to copy the software over to the new MicroSD card using a PC. It doesn't copy it over for you (that would take an eternity!) Otherwise everything else should just be there I believe.
  21. I'll probably get this soon. I liked the demo and even though it seems a bit overly simplistic, it seems like it would be a good chill out game; a nice pallet cleanser in-between other titles
  22. The official site does make mention of Amiibo... ... but I don't think we're getting the actual Monster Hunter Stories Amiibo...
  23. True... But the Metroid Amiibo is squidgy! SQUIDGY!!! I need that shiz in my life!
  24. Well that's rather crappy isn't it? It's not the first time they've pulled this with Metroid though. They did essentially the same thing with Metroid Prime/Metroid Fusion where you had to have both games and a GBA/GCN Link cable to unlock NES Metroid and (oh the irony) the Fusion Suit costume in Metroid Prime.
  25. Some real solid advice right here folks! I will say though that you might want to wait for Magical Drop 3 to come out though. MD2 is great and all, but if you're only gonna get one MD game, make it MD3! As far as fighters go, I'd also give a shout out to Waku Waku 7 and (especially) Garou: Mark of the Wolves. Also if you even remotely like golf games, I highly recommend Neo Turf Masters. Great little gem of a game! Nam 1975 is also another great game in the vein of Cabal/Wild Guns (and sort of also like Sin & Punishment) that comes recommended.
