That's an understatement! This is entirely accurate It's a good game and all, but yeah... It's ridiculously easy to cheese.

Wasn’t expecting to see Panzer Dragoon Remake playable there! It’s looking MIGHTY fine too!

Surprised that KIU didn't end up scoring higher. Nice to see Pilotwings sneaking in there though! -
Just caught up with the Juniors finals (still gotta watch the Seniors one). That was sick! Thrilling from start to finish! Speaking of exciting... Woah!! Worlds 2020 is being held in London!?! I know where I'm going next year!

Looking forward to playing Ori & The Blind Forest on my Switch

Honestly, the controversy is more entertaining than the game itself!

Actually, it's the first time that either NOA or NOE have used the Indie World brand. It was previously Japan exclusive until now. This is the first time that NOE and NOA have done a unified Indie focused broadcast; before they did their own seperate broadcasts focused on indie developers within their respective regions. So I suspect that the video content will be the same in both versions; as this seems to be a combined effort this time.

Launch trailer for the Grandia HD Collection... Can't recommend these games enough. If you've never played a Grandia game, you're in for a treat! They're amongst the very best RPGs of their era! True RPG classics, with some of the best RPG battle systems ever made! Just great games all round!

Oh yeah, one other little thing. Bare in mind that the SD Loading software will only boot from a 2GB SD Card. You can use a 4GB one after you boot into Swiss, but you can only boot it with a 2GB SD Card; so make sure you have one handy! GBInterface is pretty cool; some real nifty features, and the image quality is much better than the GB Player! There's some really cool game hacks and randomisers you can use the SD Loader for as well!

New Switch revision announced (NOT the Switch Lite!)

Meanwhile, NOE won’t even replace our broken Joy-cons... -
That’s what I use; works perfectly fine on my cube (bare in mind that it’s a US region disc, so you’ll need either a Freeloader or a US region Cube to use it). BTW: Here’s something Epic games are doing that actually won’t make you angry for a change! http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2019/08/epic_games_opens_new_studio_with_factor_5_founders_at_the_helm They’re starting a new German studio with the former heads of Factor 5! Factor 5 is coming back!

NOA have their own Indie World video on at the same time as the NOE one...

The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening REMAKE — 20th September 2019

Some new video clips from the official Twitter account... Looks like they've managed to iron out the framerate issues from the E3 demo version! -
Looking forward to Vitamin Connection. It's been a long, long time since Wayforward last made an original IP; their last one was Mighty Switch Force all the way back in 2011! (unless we count Cat Girl Without Salad!, which shouldn't really since it was just a joke game and not really a proper game in its own right). Sounds really fun!
-
Right; sorted out the dupe threads (had no idea that I could actually change the thread title after all this time! Thought it would have to be a forum mod ). Anywho. Carry on!
-
"Shantae 5" now has a proper title! And we've gotten our first proper details about the game at last! (Yes I know there is already a Shantae 5 thread, but we have a proper name now; so the thread title should reflect that). https://wayforward.com/wayforward-reveals-official-title-and-new-details-for-shantae-and-the-seven-sirens/ Looks like they're returning to the metroidvania style of the first three Shantae games. The visuals are a clear step down from Half Genie Hero, but the game looks to be far broader in scope as a result. Good news all round!

Mega Drive Mini (19th September 2019)
Dcubed replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in General Gaming Discussion
Hmm... the emulation quality doesn't seem quite as perfect as I was hoping for. Still very good, but not quite at the typical quality that I'd expect from M2. I guess they're just being stretched too thin as of late; what with them working on this (with it having almost 60 games across all regions), the TG16 mini (which also has almost 60 games!), the Contra and Castlevania Anniversary Collections for Switch/PS4/PC/Xbox One (which also has the brand new localised version of Kid Dracula), Collection of Mana (with the brand new localised version of Trials of Mana that they made!), the SEGA AGES series (which has fallen WAY behind schedule, and a likely casualty of their high current workload) and the ShotTriggers series all at the same time. When you really look at it, M2 are getting absolutely worked to death! It's probably not surprising that they simply couldn't put the same attention into the MD Mini emulation as they did with SEGA AGES and the VC. Still getting the Asian version though! The emulation is still good and the game selection is amazing! The sheer value on offer is astounding! -
It had better not have those button prompts onscreen at all times like the NES games do. Gimme a plain black background or GTFO Nintendo!

This sounds pretty plausible. I do think that they had every intention of re-using the old models and animations (as they did in Let’s Go); as they were clearly designed for hardware beyond the 3DS’ capabilities. But I cant see how they ever intended on being able to develop so many different titles concurrently; and on a HD console to boot! Not to mention that they’re effectively jumping 2 generations forward at once; coming from 3DS to Switch! Other developers in their position (like Alphadream, Good Feel and Intelligent Systems) really, really struggled to make that jump (and hell! Alphadream still haven’t!); so there were always going to be teething problems... It just feels like they bit off more than they could chew, so I reckon that we might both be right here; and then if they did have problems bringing over the 3DS models & animations (throwing all of their best laid plans into disarray); it’s not hard to see why they had to make the hard decisions they have made.
