  1. I might do this
  2. Everything is fairly groovy kids. Don't worry. My uni first year has come to a close this week- the longest holiday known to man has commenced and i am amongst good friends here, the weather is fine and I think my exams went alright. but uni has been a strange transition for me. it's been a enjoyable one for the most part but I'm still not as comfortable with people here as I am at home. In Sheffied I have friends who I have known for years and years- it's been occasionally difficult to find my footing here.
  3. must...resist....Korn...jibe...feel..weak..must...go...on...
  4. haha. funny guy.
  5. awesome. westerns are boss.
  6. The Magnificent Seven awesome movie. everyone needs to see it
  7. the sons of bitches lost my mums mothers day card.
  8. wheeeeeeeeee!
  9. Arctic Monkeys Tomorrow! guaah!
  10. not that i know of. It's fekkin ace though. a bunch of profesional crooks attept a jewl heist and kinds of shit kicks off- the film is set after and before the heist as they try and figure out what went wrong and why. It's really, really good. the dialogue is like Pulp Fiction but the story is better and it's more concise.
  11. are you from sheffield Red? I was home for a few weeks till yesterday- found a class night out on a thursday at The Plug. My favourite nights always seem to be ones that take me by surprise. I've had ones like goin out by myself then finding loads of new, pretty friends or goin out on a suddem whim and having a great time with friends. suddenly discovering new bands that are ace in a similar fashion is also good.
  12. While Pulp Fiction is excellent, I actually think Dogs is the better movie. it's like the good stuff from pulp fiction condensed into a shorter film.
  13. anyone else remember that yoghurt advert about 'the inner self'. That was genius. I really don't think I've ever laughed so hard at an advert.
  14. actually, no i don't and yeah there is a third infernal affairs. I need to watch it again though as it's a total head trip. messes with your brain.
  15. on the other hand, he does kill his enemy with a fireaxe. axe/10
  16. probably not. it's an incomplete series... but it's well worth a purchase. got mine off amazon for £10. it's really, really good.
  17. so- I got my camera replaced on insurance recently after an unfortunate incident involving somebodies arse. unfortunatly i left my pricey nikon memory card in the old camera and now i am sons memory card. anyone know where to buy a cheap replacement?
  18. to use another example....how about Desperado. strictly speaking, that film is pointless because it was the same film being made a 2nd time but more so. and Desperado is a wicked film. it's highly unlikely that this film will be a patch on the original- it would be very hard to make a film worthy, bujt it can still be enjoyable.
  19. I was gonna say- what the fuck in Whedon doing making Buffy stuff when he clearly needs to spend the rest of his natural life making Firefly and/or Serenity.
  20. See, i really like the little moments in Hero. the duel between Nameless and Broken Sword on the lake is, for me, a wonderful performance. It makes you really feel for Broken Sword. The thing with Hero is that the actors are part of a greater artistic whole in a way. the lake fight being the perfect example of the art direction being based around the emotion of the scene and the characters. It's a strange film, but one with alot of hidden depth.
  21. actually, there was only ever one dvd cased copy =)
  22. that's a really OTT example. really is. If your talking about waxing.....hmm. i dunno. It can't be too much can it? and i imagine it's excruciating for a couple of seconds.
  23. yeah we had the same issues. multi angle shots were needed for pretty much all the action scenes so we had to shoot one angle, take a step back, move the angle and do it again from a few seconds before the cut. worked pretty well most of the time...
  24. yeah that's my favourite death in the movie =) took us all by surprise too- we had to cut quickly to check he was alright. full on starjump onto his back with no padding. ace!
  25. I disagree. there's alot of depth to Hero. it's a wonderful film. grows on you too after you watch it again.
