Saw Serenity on saturday...... I liked it when it was doin its thing well with the whole pirate pastiche thing and all that, really liked the look of it all too. problem was that...I dunno, maybe it's because i have no idea what FireFly was like, but the middle section really, really plummeted into self indulgence while Whendon brought out a bloated extras cast nobody in their right mind would give a shit about. still, I find his humour fairly amusing so it was nice to see a sci-fi flick that didn't take itself too seriously. oh yeah, it also needed more psychic teen ninja action. way more. overall, 6.5/10 because it made me angry for being shit sometimes.

Saw these guys live at the Sheffield Leadmill on thursday. such an amazing gig! anyhoo- I just found this on their message board- links to some acoustic versions of 'A Million Reasons' and 'On My Own. two excellent tracks from both albums. I'm so good to you. PS. new album out today, too.

the lack of support for the original creator is very...worrying. then again, Anthony Burgess had big issues with the adaptation of A Clockwork Orange, and that was pretty good.

I liked Sin City, but theres so little depth to it that I can't really love it as much. very stylish and cool, but it pales in comparison to the awesome Batman Begins that came out at the same time. I watched the super awesome Aliens last. I really do love this movie so much. classic movie!

i think the decision, whatever you decide, should be based on one thing: what is the course like next? is it more of the same? more creative, maybe? if you can see it getting better, stick through the shit patch. if it stays dull, perhaps being trained for a career you don't want really is pointless.

nothing wrong with imports, schmuck... besides, unless you can point out that region 2 ren & stimpy dvd set...

Everyone who reads the next sentence is compelled to obey: READ CATCH 22! it's genius- a biting, brilliant satire on the insanity of war. very, very funny also read One Flew Over The Cookoos Nest. very nearly bought me to tears, yet left me utterly elated at the same time. beautiful.

I disagree. I find Radiohead Melancholy, but not depressing. it's never made me sad, just thoughtful and contemplative. Your wish is my command: 'poo'.

quoted because it won the thread. Joy Division are the kings of achingly taunt emotion in music.
