Abdelbaset Ali al-Megrahi to be freed from prison??
Dan_Dare replied to danny's topic in General Chit Chat
uh..dude, he's dying. The reason he's being 'released' is just to attend Ramadan in Libya. As it stands, a transfer to Libyan custody is as likely as release anyway. Probably more so. -
ok...good point. damn you, sir! damn you.

Mad Men and Breaking Bad have established them as a major studio now though. I dare say they can carry that weight in to a meeting with financiers and casting agents. I'd expect this to have a bigger 'name' cast than either. to be honest though- TWD's strength is in the everyman nature of its cast. You don't need names at all. I'm just throwing about my fantasy cast :P Wouldn't mind some Mad Men regulars actually. Not that they're not busy or anything..

I'm stuck on the Grimes family though. Lena Headey as Lory might fit. (Lord, she's a MILF. I mean, seriously. Jesus)

The Bends is a blinding second album. Easily one of the best rock albums of its day etc etc. They've moved on though. I think I agree with Paj in that Kid A, OK Computer and In Rainbows are all as good as each other. The great thing about Radiohead is that, unlike most bands, they're clearly such talented musicians that one style is never going to fit them for a particularly long time. OK Computer, HTTT and In Rainbows are all 'rock' albums but conceptually, thematically, structurally and aurally they're so vastly different. Kid A and Amnesiac on the other hand are wildly experimental electronic madness from a band on the peak of their creative bent. That's why they're the best modern rock band in the world, and why trying to rank their albums in some kind of order is an extreme exercise in futility. I just listen to whatever I'm in the mood for, really. Depending on the timing, any of their albums could be their 'best'

My immediate TWD Casting wishlist: Morgan: Andre Royo aka Reginald 'Bubbles' Cousins in The Wire He does every kind of fucked up and on the edge as a Baltimore Junkie- fantastic range and ability, particularly if Morgan comes back later after..well, you know. Terese Idris Elba, aka Stringer Bell in The Wire Huge, black and awesome Abraham Ian Mcshane, aka Deadwood's Al Swearengen Perfect fit for the older, lethal survivalist with an eye for a well groomed soup drainer. Andrea: Julie Benz. Currently Rita in Dexter She's pretty sexy, with the kind of femininity that can go from vulnerable to unbreakable in an instant. just a start.

Radiohead have never been better! The Bends is pretty awesome, granted, but really they've only ever moved forwards. In Rainbows is their best album.

or IS IT? Details are being finalised over TV deal now. Fuck Yes. AMC are front runners too which is fantastic news. They've really stepped up in the last couple of years with Mad Men and Breaking Bad. Easily two of my favourite shows. Fuck. Yes, people.

It's more complicated than that. If there wasn't her team playing along with him, there's no doubt Osborn would be herding the last mutants in to camps instead.

Somehow I doubt she's trying to diversify the fire service. She's talking about top corporate and political positions and business. In those cases, she's damn right that there should be equal representation.

Despite some clumsy wording (ripe for misinterpretation, ho!) I think she has a decent point. In a society that claims equality of the sexes, she's spent alot of time quite rightly trying to make that actually mean something. I don't think she's suggesting we demote men in favor of women- merely questioning the status quo that exists now.

He'd be fine if he was like, say, Quicksilver. Thing is, writers seem to have progressively made him faster and faster untill he becomes just...an absurdity. stuff like being able to move so fast his atoms vibrate through walls or running between dimensions. Like you say, there's so little he can't do now that he can't generate any good stories. no. Youngblood says 'hi'

Image suck dick. Apart from the Kirkman stable, their entire lineup is, uniformly, morbidly charmless juvenile cockcheese.
