  1. Ask Square-Enix, they wanted to change it and make the FF crowd to love it. It's a good thing that the Final Fantasy XII demo was packed with it, because if not I doubt it would not have sold ANYWHERE near the amount it sold in the US. It seems that it is growing more in the europe now anyway, thanks to DQIV and DQV. I think Nintendo also are going to try and hype the heck out of DQIX when that comes out in english. I hope Square-Enix don't do it too DQIX and DQX with the DQVIII menu, I really hope they don't >_<, I hope it dies.
  2. Yeah, buuuut this is the internet so sometimes people can miss the sarcasm meter, like me. I didn't see his post before I posted that it was a joke, but still meh Still fun hanging crap on the love bird story making team of Kitase and Nomura
  3. Sorry, but that makes no sense at all. Then I should be hating a lot of other RPG's because of that, DQ, SMT series, the Tales Of series...etc etc. FFVIII WAS, a shit game, I played it again thinking I might have been wrong, thanks to the God awful game of FF X, I somehow enjoyed FFVIII a bit more. So from 3 out of 10 I would now give it a 4 out of 10 People who don't like it basically like a good story and interesting characters in games, and because VIII didn't have any of that, people hated it, simple no?
  4. Too easy for me 1.Final Fantasy X 2.Final Fantasy VIII 3.Kingdom Hearts 4.Fallout 3 5.Resident Evil 5
  5. Of course, I mean this is 'The Wii Audio/Graphics Appreciation Thread' a place where you put games that look good and awesome music in...only if the loading times aren't long. So yeah perhaps it doesn't count.
  6. Pop menu that sticks to the roots of all the other DQ games, rather then going to menu on the US version that takes like 5 seconds to pop up. the pop up made Dragon Quest VIII so much faster compared to the US version (5 seconds of loading time may not sound much, but when it's in a game you need to use aaaaaaall the time, it really does cut time off.)
  7. This pic alone makes me know why the jap version is better then the US version
  8. Yes and no, it's still a game that kids can still enjoy and play with the simple battle features and easy to use navigation with the menu's Too me this is like the old Disney films, which could be watched by both adults and children and both getting the same amount of joy from it, but in different perspectives. Hence why I prefer DQ over FF by a mile Well, Grazza went way overhead in telling you about that suit of armour (What else can you call it?) He is basically telling you the greatest in visual and strategic outcome. All Dragon Quest games are like that and it's what makes it so awesome and charming. Although, too me this game is a bit weaker compared to the other Dragon Quests in terms of story wise. But I rate all the Dragon Quest stories so far high anyway Basically Dragon Quest VIII story is still far greater then most RPG's...just it's not as good as the other DQ stories I believe. Zoom is one of the greatest things to ever be created ever in an RPG, It's nice to know that if your injured and can't take the chance of walking right back to the last spot, that you can just go straight there without fighting, meaning you won't have to lose half the money you have from fighting. I think Grazza should stop helping you now, as well as myself, just play and really enjoy the game, DQ is always about exploration and learning new little things that make it a DQ game and a DQ world. It's more fun just going through trail and error with the pot. Don't say that too weeaboos (God I fucking hate them) Some people don't like the translation because it's 'bringing in new humor that the japanese version didn't have' well idiots like them have to realize that we are english, and we should enjoy a game which has great english humor. So yeah I give the finger to the haters and I welcome even more great and awesome translation in the DQ games to come that I hope they continue to do.
  9. Sorry to dissapoint for now another little detail of the DS version, comparisons!!
  10. Wish they could instead of making a new pokemon game, make something brand new, perhaps something which suits the home console, like serebii said, pokemon only really suits the handheld.
  11. H-O-T you should be ashamed of yourself I held back from even mentioning it, because I thought you would mention it yourself since you are a huuuuuge fan of it...I think you already know what I am talking about xD
  12. I must be weird as the first thing I noticed was the Final Fantasy Tactics cover Just got in Ys 7. After sooooo many years...it's great to see a good new PSP game be made
  13. The music, even though awesome, it didn't feel as epic as what Dragon Quest VII was and the games before it, perhaps out of the music in Dragon Quest VIII, 5 songs really were outstanding (Although 1 of them was a remake to the flying song of Dragon Quest III) I still like most of Koichi Sugiyama's music, but yeah, comparing it to other Dragon Quest games makes it sound bad, comparing it too any other gaming series, then well all DQ games looks like a God send when I compare them I don't even like that list of mine of my favorite Dragon Quest games, as it's the only series that I can say with confidence...How can you compare perfection ^^
  14. opoona opoona opoona and opoona. Music = Awesome Graphics = Nice
  15. New pics of Dragon Quest VI Hyyyyyyyyyyype
  16. Audio Well, Falcom has done it, they have fucking done it.They have made an opening song that's just down right epic in every way, makes every other gaming opening look weak. I am talking about the Ys 7 opening song on the PSP[MUSIC]Iq1eO2dCohQ" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="280" height="50"> Audio I just can't get enough of this song
  17. Going through Shin Megami Tensei III like crazy, God, I can never get enough of this game, and the more I play it the more I crave for Shin Megami Tensei IV...I mean Strange Journey on the DS xD
  18. It's not difficult, one of the aspects of Dragon Quest is that you never go to point A to point B, because in the end you will surley die going through it. There are always side quests around that point of time where you can get other equipment, items and exp. Like the waterfall for instance,
  19. But the problem is is that most of the time if we praise a game, all those 'other consoles' fanboys come on and call us blind fanboys. Which makes me ask myself why? People can be hyped up for HD games that look the same as all those other prequels before it, yet we can't say shit all about it, because that would declare us a stupid blind fanboy's who need to accept HD? I accept HD but give me a fucking a game that I can enjoy, the games on the Wii have been just as much fun if not better then most of the HD games. Waggle or HD, I don't give a fuck, as long as it's good I don't see why people fucking complain The end of the year I will have myself swamped in DS games, a little Wii games and no HD games, ok now call me a blind fanboy because I don't want to play any games the end of the year that are not our for the 360/PS3/PSP
  20. If you wanted a story time frame then start with VI, IV and V Doesn't really matter, there is little connection with all of them, you won't lose any enjoyment if you did not play IV and VI but played V first.
  21. Funny, this is getting a lot of hype and people already want it over here, Atlus and some other publisher in the US are fighting over this game on who should being it out in the US. So yeah, it's going to come over
  22. Metroid Prime 2 is the best out of the Prime series IMO, it was a good fresh game which Metroid really needed, after Metroid Prime great success there was a lot of pressure on Retro to pull out an even better game, and they did. It's near the last few area's you just go wow at how a metroid game can really blend into anything and look and feel like it's still metroid. I could go on for hours about how awesome the game is, but I don't want to bore people
