  1. Oh but H-O-T if the trend continues with each installment since DQVI to have better sales in the first two days, and Iwata wanting to push DQX to an even wider audience...expect things to change when a certain game on the Wii comes out
  2. I think there is a blockage for the voices, never checked. The voices just as Grazza said is over the top to begin with, but I think later in the game they sound better, it's like the voice actors have calmed down I should also mention that even though I hate most Nomura games, I have not dissed them until I play them *SHOCK* I just recently had a go at The World Ends With You, and it's another game I can not get into (Feels like I am playing the Nomura version of Gantz)
  3. your put off from a game that perhaps has the best voice acting ever got dubed in a game (Well second Baten Kaitos Origins is still the best in terms of voice acting out there) IMO plus your English, thought you would like it rather then hearing Americans talk Ah well each to their own, for instance I don't like belts and zipper, pointless cutscenes and Gackt in any of the games I play
  4. I'll wait for the Natal port
  5. Can't wait for this game after seeing the multiplayer of the airplane game
  6. Shit, good luck, with soooooo many games, I can only hope you can get through most before all those MUST BUY games on the Wii come out ^_^
  7. If Zelda Changes Fans would complain about how it was already awesome and how they wanted it to be a true sequel to Zelda OOT (Or MM, WW and TP) If Zelda doesn't change Fans will complain about how nothing has changed and wine about how they will be playing the same game from before and want something different like what they did in terms of graphics with Wind Waker. Nintendo can never win can they?
  8. Good God, this game looks epic in every way possible, perhaps the only 3rd party game that Hero of Time and I can both agree on that is a fucking awesome series
  9. Iwata Asks DQIX http://touch-ds.jp/mfs/st108/interview1.html
  10. Why don't MMV do something smarter, the 360/PS3 is not going to give them much of a profit, there is another system out there MMV, two of them as a matter of fact, a PS2 and PSP. And if Persona 4 taught people anything, PS2 games can still sell.
  11. You putting the music up Ike, you may as well add the all the other awesome updates of today Character creating Equipment Symbol Encounter Free Position Camera Quest Quest List Skills Changing jobs at Dharma Temple Gathering adventureres at the pub Sandy the fairy Multiplayer Alchemy Pot
  12. *Pats back* Well done, you will enjoy it I think easily better then most RPG's of last gen. Then tis a good thing it's broken I need to get into these games one day, they are cheap where I am so I should buy them before I can never get a chance. Another game which I want to play but yet to since I am swarmed with other PS2 and DS games >_> Might get it one day, not so keen at the moment So true Final Fantasy XII was just a mess all because Square didn't like where it was heading halfway through development, hence why they put in the syndrome which has infected and ruined so many great series...the teenager syndrome. I could only have imagined what the game would have been like if Matsuno kept going on developing it in his vision.
  13. Which in the end was very little in galaxy 1 anyway. Galaxy 2 can still have a story, it's just I think Miyamoto worries that when more and more story gets put into a game it becomes more of a focus rather then the gameplay itself. Mario Galaxy at the start was good, but even the cutscene where the Princess was being taken away...I did not care much about that scene. And not seeing it in Galaxy 2 will be all good to me. Yet, I still think that if they had a little side story, an example was that picture book that was read throughout the entire game of galaxy, it was an optional choice for you to go through it. Which I think more games need to do more of rather then making you sit down and make you watch boring cutscenes. Which I believe is something Nintendo do well, I love games that Nintendo make and you can see a story through the games. Zelda does that very well, when you go through it and talk to characters and such but has real no effect on the story itself, as I said above, I think Miyamoto likes stories, but it's something I don't think he wants as a main aspect of a game. You buy a game to play. You buy a book to read a story. You buy a movie to watch something. Those aspect I always think to myself when thinking of a story and such. Hence why I sometimes think it's pointless in making an epic story in a game when most of the time your just watching everything happen then once gameplay starts, press a couple of buttons for the next scene to happen. games like Final Fantasy are now having gameplay that's on par with a DVD menu. It doesn't help when Sonic always has a new friend each game that joins in every game afterwards either. I mean just look at Sonic 2006, the game was messed up and they tried to make a story(And they must have been high to have humans in the game) out of it forgotting that it was not a movie but a game so the gameplay was very crap. I love them perhaps it's the charm of them, but I feel they make a lot of those RPG's that try hard look bad...all because it's a simple story that works well(Come on intelligent System bring me Paper Mario 3 xD )
  14. *Cough*Sonic*Cough* (Had to mention it because it's a good example of how bad a game can get becuase the developers try to make it all story based a shit) Mario to me has always been about Mario saving the princess. I mean Galaxy was awesome, but I hope in Galaxy 2 they get rid of everything that was a cutscene and just let me rip right into looking at the stunning level design. and getting stars. Besides, Mario games have really good stories...but made in other games, hence why Mario has RPG games because those types of games are better in telling a story, plus the people who buy it know they will get more of a story driven game. And so far I have yet to be dissapointed by any of the Mario RPG's out there.
  15. Ah Xseed, you re my hero's for this year. Thankyou for Retro Game Challenge, thankyou for Rune Factory Frontier and now thankyou for bringing this out (As well as other games which you are bringing out):bowdown::bowdown::bowdown:
  16. This. Is it that hard to obey the laws? If we did that, then perhaps everyone would be happy. (Talking about cyclist and car drivers)
  17. For that series this may be the end. But I could still see them continue on the other expansions of C&C. With Red Alert, Generals and other ones that they have.
  18. I just read more about the game (I really shouldn't now >_<)
  19. The ending of OOT, MM (Heck the whole game was full of great emotion) WW and TP had much more emotion compared to the 'I AM IN YOUR FACE WITH SOME POINTLESS CUTSCENE OF ANIME LOVE!!!' OOT was the time where Link as an adult had to go back to what he once used to be. He didn't want it, nor did the mature Zelda. Hence why it took a while for Link to take his hand off the ocarina. I am sure there would have been tears. But this is the N64 game we are talking about. It would have looked stupid with a teardrop on Zelda. Here he was a great hero, only to having to go back to a child and then departing with a friend he had since the start of the game. It was no 'I love you so much' crap it was a true bond of friendship between to characters. What makes Zelda so great now is the fact that it's not 'In your face' it's something you can pick up if you want to and it doesn't destory the experiance of an epic game.
  20. Better then what Nomura-Enix could pull off with it's button mashing to the next cutscene galore. And saying that Zelda series ain't as deep as what FF VIII, FF X and KH have is quite a laugh
  21. Armor Project to do Zelda. (Although I would rather have Yuji Horii do a new IP, but it would be mad to see his work in a Zelda game) and R&D 1 on Pokemon. and Tri-Ace team up with monolith again to make Baten Kaitos 3 xD
  22. It's Gold and Silver which I have yet to play. I have played all others (Well, just one of the two of each series) So I am really looking forward to this. ^_^
  23. Gone back to playing the PS2, the great news is that I am getting the list smaller and smaller of games to complete^_^
  24. But it was still pointless, it was like they need to make the game feel bigger then it was. Dragon Quest III, Dragon Quest V and Dragon Quest VII have a good laugh at your point there. Shit Dragon Quest VII was full of greatness, over 100 hours of it as well, every town, every character you met were great. You always remembered who they were. The main story was blended into over 16 other small stories and issues. Only other game that had that kind of awesomeness was Zelda MM (Mute character lol) That's the other problem I had, I remember near the end of the game, where they all talked about the past, well, what the hell was up with the talk about GF's were the main reason as to why they lost their memory? It was at that time when I was almost thinking I have had enough. Oh I beg to differ. I could easily name a whole amount of games that have great protagonists that keep their mouth shut. with a kick ass story that is far greater then most final fantasy games. And funny that, a woman for many men is a purpose in life to live for - if you've never seen or read the anime/mange Clannad I suggest you do so, because it's awesome. Now if you argued that a tuna sandwhich or a level up caused a character to change from not seeing much point in life to having a purpose then I'd agree with you. But clearly this is more important. Shit, thats perhas why I like FF IX That was one of them, but like I said it trully felt like the story was really all over the place. It was as if the people of Square got wasted from the success of FF VII that they realized when they woke up that it was only a couple of months until the release of FFVIII so they had to rush through everything. To be honest, FFVIII IS better then FFX if that makes you feel better But they should go back to that game Square and remake it and try and polish up the story and make everything less...messy. And on a Nomura note....
  25. I highly doubt it shall be that big, I can imagine the whole story itself shall be around 40-50 hours, like all games before Dragon Quest VII
