Um what? You talking to me?

WTF? Star Calibur III: Jedi Edition?

It's a converted computer monitor, most of the sub-£400 TVs that Argos stock are. The tell-tale sign is usually the size, 19" = TV, 20" = Monitor, 22" = Monitor, 23" = TV. Buying a TV below 26" is tricky, most are crap. For some reason manufacturers use cheaper parts on them, i don't get why given the high price of these sets. Good 23" sets are priced so close to they're 26" and 32" versions that they are a bit of a waste of money, sometimes the 26" is actually cheaper (Samsung 23R87)

Blunt instrument my arse! You punch someone with those and they'll end up looking like swiss cheese! If you must have brass knuckles then buy less stabby ones. THis is what you look for: Loads of blunt damage, they'll hurt the guy without killing him. The ones this bloke is trying to sell you are more dangerous than you're old switch blade, they'll create large puncture wounds. If it's you're aim to end up in jail for murder then £20 is a good deal, if not then stay away.

Devil May Cry 4

Like who? All the big computer manufacturers have been sat on the fence, releasing PCs and Laptops with both drives. The only example i can think of is Dell Choze, you don't half speak some shit.
-
Neither, both are horribly flawed and feel very clunky. Both were released 6 months before they should have been. One has clunky gameplay, the other has clunky presentation. Theres quite a few good single player games on 360, many of which will cost a fraction of those two. Tried Dead Rising?

http://www.gamesindustry.biz/content_page.php?aid=31842 Xbox 360 - 17.7 Million That'd make sense, 1.2 Million over Christmas in the US, so probably about 3 worldwide. As far as success goes, 2007 was Xbox 360's year. It generated more 3rd Party revenue than Nintendo and Sony combined (source) and in the US more consumer money was spent on it than on any other console ever. Will be interesting to see how 2008 pans out, with Wii's huge install base and PS3's list of exclusives.
-
IIRC the PS3 sits at about 7 million at the moment. At CES Microsoft have been claiming 17 Million 360s have been sold. I might be wrong about the PS3 figures though
-
Well it's only 10 million units behind the 360, it ain't that many to make up.

£350 can buy you quite a lot these days: 26" Toshiba C3030D for £336.81: http://www.digitaldirect.co.uk/products_moreinfo3/index.asp?product_id=12648&ff=12&ffi=1 26" Sharp AD5E for £358.98 using voucher code JAN10: http://www.dixons.co.uk/martprd/store/dix_page.jsp?BV_SessionID=@@@@0992470483.1199830661@@@@&BV_EngineID=cccgaddmmkjefdjcflgceggdhhmdfoi.0&page=Product&fm=null&sm=null&tm=null&sku=241847&category_oid=-28723 Theres quite a few other 26" models for around £350 too, but these are probably the 2 best. Both have VESA holes for wall mounting, you just need the mounting bracket. The Tosh has really good reviews, a bargain at that price! Information on the Sharp is a bit more scarce, but it's got a good rep over at the AVForums. Try this thread: http://www.avforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=660384&highlight=Sharp+32AD5E

Nay, i made it thrice! Just posted it again! I blame broken internets

It's not as good as a mouse, but still pretty good once you get used to it. The PC version is probably better, i only got the 360 version to play with people over Live (which, given it's broken, is a right kick in the balls) It's not as good as a mouse, but still pretty good once you get used to it. There isn't really a conclusion to make. If they fix Live then 360 has the best online, and it already has the bigger back catalogue. The down side is you have to put up with the machines crap reliability. The PS3 has an inferior online system, but its actually working right now and is free. The current games list isn't too great, but it should have a good 2008/2009. If i was buying i'd go for a 360 because of the community that exists on these boards. The back catalogue also ensures that anyone buying a 360 now pretty much cannot get bored. Ask me again in a year or so and i might well say PS3.
-
I've given up on my 360 until Live is fixed. It's gone to my brother, he's been desperate to play Forza since i told him i'd bought it. In the mean time i've got The Witcher, UT3, Orange Box and Medieval 2 to tide me over on PC.

Get a job, then you don't have time to be bored. Damn tax dodging students! :p

McDonald’s boss: ‘Games to blame for childhood obesity
McPhee replied to Dante's topic in General Chit Chat
I think the guy is right, but at the same time it's wrong of him to try and deflect blame away from his company. It's a combination of bad diet and lack of exercise that cause obesity. The cure is to stop eating at MacDonalds and go to the gym twice a week. -
Or worse, you end up down a tunnel stuck between 2 groups. If that happens you better have some serious fire power with you (flame thrower, mini gun, automatic shotgun of the cartridge loading variety) or are just very, very lucky. Maybe we should all join forces and invade Shetland, eradicate all the Zombies and Natives and then rename it N-E Land! After all, in a time of anarchy who is going to notice a little genocide going on :p
-
Well thats the gist of this service, yes. IPTV itself aims to provide a greater level of interactivity than V+ does though. For example, if you were watching Formula 1 you'd be able to switch between the cameras in every car plus various cameras around the track, in the helicopters, in the commentator booth etc.

I wouldn't bother registering you're Live sub til Microsoft have fixed the problems, it's too unpredictable at the moment
-
Fuck Xbox Live. Fuck Microsoft. They can all burn in hell! How can it STILL be broken?

im game, just need to get a mic sorted
