The biggest problem is the price of the disks. Take HMV for example; 300 on DVD - £7. 300 on HD-DVD - £24.99! I'd buy a player instantly if the disks were the same price as DVDs. Heck i'd buy even at a few quid more (say £10 for HD vs £7 for SD) to compensate the higher costs

At least you ain't on counters, i actually have to pretend i like these people! They come for a chat almost every day "Have you got any meat?" "No madam, IT'S ONLY THE FUCKING MEAT COUNTER!" or "Have you got any vegetarian kebabs?" This was a classic, possibly the dumbest shit i've ever met. Other highlights being him thinking beef is the body of the cow and pork the legs... my personal favourite: "You can't touch that with you're hands! It's against health and safety!" I've have at least one person a week argue this with me, even had one guy argue with a health inspector! The only complaint i've ever had against me was because i got so fed up arguing with a customer that i removed my shoe and picked they're sausages with my foot. Should have been suspended for it, only got away with it on the basis of "glowing customer feedback". That and the distinct lack of staff, suspending me would have meant no meat counter! Also, WHO THE FUCK QUEUES OUTSIDE A SUPERMARKET AT 6AM? The store doesn't open until 7 and yet we get 10-20 people every morning!

Cheaper at Scan when not on offer, and it's in they're "Today Only" today (it will be most weekends/bank holidays) Personally i'd want a dual slot model, but with ATi not bothering to compete with the 8800GT and the GTS being over £200 you don't really have that option. The GT ain't that bad anyway, it's just noisy and hot

Depends on the speakers really. On board sound has become really good and the cost of a dedicated sound card is wasted unless you have a set of speakers that can take advantage of it. It does remove load from the processor though

Made my decision, im not getting a PS3 or a Wii. Warhawk and Smash Bros may look brilliant but i've got enough to play on with the 360. Besides, im yet to join the ranks of HDTV owners

The Witcher is the next game on my buy list, getting it tomorrow if i can find a good price in town. From what i've heard it's the most under-rated game of the year!

Right, i have 2 weeks off starting on the 1st of January. Do i: A) Buy The Witcher, Crysis and World in Conflict for PC (plus whatever is going cheap in the sales) - £100 tops B) Buy a Wii - £200 C) Buy a PS3 - £300 D) Stop being an idiot and save my cash - £free Posting it in here because tbh i doubt i'll get a proper opinion in any other thread. Wii supply isn't an issue, i can get my hands on them if i need one. Im only getting a PS3 if i can get a 60GB version, PS2 compatibility is a high priority. Whats holding me back is i've never owned a Playstation before, i've no idea if i like the Metal Gear series, or the Final Fantasy series. I do know GT5 isn't my thing. With the Wii i know i'll like Smash Bros and Fire Emblem, not overly bothered about anything else so far though. If i buy a new console i'll be very skint, no Rock Band or GHII for me and probably have to miss DMC4 too in favour of Vegas 2. Basically i'll be down to a game a month from now til the summer.

TrackIR + Wiimote = Awesomeness. I can just see this solving the Wii's FPS problems! You can use you're head to look, Nunchuck to move and Wiimote to aim

Nvidia = GS - GT - GTS - GTX - Ultra Old ATi = GT - Pro - XT - XTX New ATi = ? - **50 - **70 - ? (only 2 cards released so far so i don't know what numbers they will use, presumably **30 and **90 with **20 being an integrated chip)
