I loved the films, don't rate the books though. I found them a chore to read, can't stand it when books are like that. Had the same problem with A Song Of Fire and Ice too, given up on it now! Personally i much prefer Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time (shame he died in September ) and Raymond E. Feist's Conclave of Shadows. Much easier reads (although Wheel of Time does begin to drag on a bit by book 8, of 13!)

Ah, they ain't the same price. Ignore my post in the wish list thread then, £320 isn't worth it for any 20" TV! Theres good 26" models around for around £40 more than that! The Sammy R8 for £250 seems reasonable

I think you guys suck tbh. From all the moaning on here it's a miracle Capcom don't scrap SFIV all together, grab Third Strike, add some new characters and HD visuals, then slap the Street Fighter IV name on it. Capcom have done something different with each SF series. This is why Street Fighter IV isn't a HD version of Third Strike. Sure, it probably won't be better than Third Strike, but it's better than the same old game sold as something new and different. Before i get flamed, yes i would like to see a HD version of Third Strike. Heck, even an improved version of Third Strike sold as SFIII: Fourth Strike. I just don't think SFIV needs to try and be Third Strike.

Im not too fussed really, i have most of the things i want. If i need something i tend to just go out and buy it, quite lucky to have so much disposable income really. A new MP3 player wouldn't go amiss though, since my iPod died i've had various "music mobiles" and they all suck! Got my eye on either an iPod Classic 80GB or an Archos 605WiFi. Other than that the only thing i really want to do is have enough money saved to quit my job and see the world for a year or so. Think im on my own with this one though, my family don't know im leaving yet. I've only told a few of my closest friends (and now you lot...). If everything runs to schedule I'll be in China for the Olympics! I'd go for the S30 myself, others would probably disagree though.

Well Niki could have hauled that vault door off faster than Peter did with Telekinesis... Yeah, but Peter sucks when it comes to controlling most of his powers. The only ones he can actually use are Healing, Electricity and Telekinesis. If he tried teleportation who knows where they'd end up? The moon? The guy is pretty lame tbh. He should be the most powerful of all and yet if Hiro wanted to kill him there'd currently be a headless Peter corpse in the Primatek lobby. As for the episode, could make for an interesting next chapter. What Hiro did to Adam was brutal, surely worse than death! And i doubt Peter will take Nathan's death lightly, as lame as he may be there aren't many who can stop him. On a side note, could we see a return for Matt's dad? If so who breaks him free of his mental prison?

HDMI-DVI You'd either need separate audio cables or a cable that splits the HDMI in to Video and Sound

CoD3 wasn't that bad, still one of the better war games on 360.

If Free Radical are making a new Dark Forces i might actually cry with happiness, one of my favourite FPS franchises combined with one of the best FPS devs around? It's like a match made in heaven! Also, yay on KOTOR3 and GRAW3. Tomb Raider im not fussed about and Elder Scrolls Online is a worry, no way is it going to be Bethesda making it. They are way too busy working on Fallout 3 and The Elder Scrolls V (i hope)

I've just put some of these changes in to force. Merged the PS3, PS2 and PSP threads, unstuck the remaining thread, locked it and renamed it to Playstation Discussion Archive. It may yet get deleted, but personally i'd rather it stay so anyone who wants to look through it can. Theres now a new general Playstation thread, and the Online IDs thread has been stickied. Dunno what others think but i'd like to see a fresh start for all 3 discussion threads, with the gamertags/IDs intergrated in to the first post.

I'd write Mass Effect off straight away, it just isn't as good as the other 2. If you have Live Gold then CoD4, if not then it's a toss up between it and Prime.

If it ain't good enough then you can easily upgrade it. ATi HD2400 and HD2600 graphics cards are pretty cheap, great for HD video and will manage to run most games

The rules say objects, you took a picture of a monitor. Sure, it contained images of the stuff you are to find, but images aren't objects :p Thats my take on it anyway

I wonder which of these titles will be this years Bioshock and The Darkness? A year ago very few of us realised how awesome those two would turn out!

Actually, after looking around an Archos TV+ would do the job. It's not a computer, but it'll play, record and stream media and you can get a web browser for it. Not all that cheap though, a computer might be better value for money...
