It ain't complicated. Almost square screen = 4:3, Rectangle = 16:9 If you have a widescreen TV it tends to be blatantly obvious: 4:3 16:9 If you can't figure out the difference between those two then i worry for you...

You can, you just censor those threads and they're content. It went out the window. It's been talked about staff side, but we are better off like this than being heavy handed with moderating just so little Johnny's Mummy doesn't get upset by the antics of Mr Rokhead, the Sexuality Thread or various other areas of the forums.

I HATE this song. Still can't complete it on any difficulty, one slip up and i find i can't get back in to the rhythm of it. The last song i have to do on easy Bout half way through medium now, stuck in the desert. Can't manage The Metal or Black Sunshine, guess i might have to practice them a bit
-
Picked this up yesterday. Currently trying to 5* everything on easy (im a GH noob) then i'll move on to Medium. That bloody Slayer song is still eluding me though, just can't seem to hack it
-
Theres no way to ban people from comments. Massive cock up, i know! I believe some people are looking in to a solution though, site staff have wanted him gone for ages...
-
I completed Easy today, was a nice little introduction to the game. Had a quick blast at medium and i nearly cried! Gonna take a lot of practise methinks!
-
To UT3 today, bought Guitar Hero though

I used to do that, worked great for me. Unfortunately im no longer a student and work don't see the value of a 6 day week. Now i just go for two or more alarms, spread out around my room. Or Weeyellowbloke's suggestion, that always works! (maybe it's the possibility of sex?) Laughed so hard it hurt!

Yeah, but thats cheating...

Nobody is saying it ain't great fun, its just got gaping big flaws! It's one of the most enjoyable games i've played this year, but it's also the most embarrassingly flawed. The annoyance factor started for me after I completed the game. The first time through the game felt thrilling, on the second play though it's all about how the game plays, and thats when i noticed it's faults more. Im sure you'll like it (and it's easy gamerscore :p)

Dunno if im getting this tomorrow now. Shopto have sent Unreal Tournament 3, despite them saying it wasn't coming out til next Friday. They waited til today (or last night, not sure) to change they're mind. If that comes tomorrow then i'll get GH later

Camp and lay claymores + C4. Also, get yourself an assault rifle as soon as you can. Comes in handy when people start closing in. I always stand to the back right of the ferris wheel, behind a metal pillar. Seems ample cover, clays cover my left and i shoot out between the dodgems + ferris wheel with C4 in that general area in case i get over-run.

I'm thinking he might be immune to all Matt's powers too. The Haitian can't suspend his healing ability or he'd have been killed by Bob at some point, and he can heal from having his memory erased. He must be doing it subconsciously and instantaneously by now or Bob would have made the Haitian turn him in to a vegetable. If he can heal his mind that well then Matt is probably no threat. Im thinking he actually might be indestructible, unless he has Claire's weakness they may need to lock him up again

Maybe he is immune to some of the others powers too. He can't be hurt physically, but we've not seen anyone do any mental damage yet either. If he can't be manipulated then that would explain why Angela is scared of him. He doesn't have to be powerful offensively if nobody can stop him, hell the only solution they could think up was to shove him in a room, even then time is on his side. It's like some sick horror film where no matter what you do the bad guy keeps coming back and won't stop til you're dead. Not immediately scary, but after a while it will start to fuck with you're mind. I doubt Peter and Sylar can stop him, he got blown up by a tent full of gunpowder and survived. That will have torn his body to shreds, yet it still healed. Even going Nuclear won't stop him, it didn't kill Peter or Claire. The only solution i can think of is Peter teleporting in to space and dumping him in orbit of some distant planet. Wouldn't kill him, but i doubt he'd ever make it back.

I'd have cancelled the order an bought the game down town tomorrow. The web ain't much (if any) cheaper than Tesco/Sainsburys. I've picked up Halo 3, Assassin's Creed and Orange Box from Sainsburys for cheaper than any of you bought them off the web for (Halo 3 and Assassin's Creed were £34.99, Orange Box was £24.99, i got em cheaper than that due to 15% staff discount). Admittedly they don't do the Limited Editions, but surely Gamestation ain't that much more for them than the web?

Mario will probably sell more in the long run. Galaxy is a unique game, if someone wants to play it in 10 years time then they will have to buy Mario Galaxy. In 10 years time there will be a Halo game far better than Halo 3, possibly even a Halo 3 remake. If we were to talk in terms of hours played though, then Halo 3 will win hands down. I doubt Galaxy will ever be played as much as Halo 3 in its first 6 months of release. I'll pop in a quick estimate of 600 Million hours in the first 6 months, theres roughly 130,000 online at the moment and this will shoot up during America prime time. To say people didn't buy 360s for Halo 3 is idiotic, it's the most played 360 game, most played live game and biggest selling 360 game. Nearly every 360 owner will buy Halo 3. Galaxy and the Wii is a weird one, to the majority of the Wii's fan-base it's just another game really. They don't read reviews etc and the game case, marketing etc don't really sell this up as being the new big Mario game. We know it's bloody amazing, but do the masses? Do they even care? Or is it just another game in the sea of Wii games, set to compete against titles like "My Horse and Me"? New Super Mario Bros. sold off the nostalgic feel, it looked and played old-school. Galaxy doesn't have that, so it's down to the 'Mario' name to make it sell.

For me the game was pretty much saved by a surprisingly good story and the fact that i played through it pretty quickly. TBH if i was reviewing it i'd have given it a 7/10, i enjoyed it but they promised more than they delivered. The combat was too easy, it became a case of being easier to take on 20+ enemies than out-run them. The player models and voices were repeated too often. Climbing was bollocks, and basically came down to "hold UP + A + RT and watch the pretty graphics as the man scales the big building". The 'real world' moments felt tacked-on and unfinished. Guards would regularly attack for no reason; "look, theres some bloke riding a horse fast!" "ASSASSIN! KILL HIM!". Also, why the hell can't the guy swim? His bloody amazing at everything else, but let him touch water and he dies instantly! I enjoyed the game, but it could have been GOTY with a bit more thought and another 6 months in development. I worry for the sequel if it plays like this one and is set in the modern world with guns and stuff then it really will suck badly...

Ah, makes sense. Still, she did a bloody good job at resisting Matt's probing/thought implanting. I guess that was a little trick she learned after hanging around with his dad a lot

Still shit me up

sorry

Well at least some good came out of his ban then, he got a life outside of the internet Maybe we should ban more of you for the sake of humanity? We'd be doing you a favour :p

Hiro would kick Peter's ass too. Peter is powerful, but he has jack shit idea on how to control most of his powers. Hiro on the other hand seems to have perfect control on his now, meaning Peter is royally fucked (unless the writers decide to suddenly teach Peter to control what he does). On the Hiro's Dad/Angela/Adam's powers front: Hiro's dad obviously has some sort of physical power, he was ready to fight Adam hand-to-hand and wouldn't have done so if it was a mental/non-physical power (so no flight, teleportation etc.). It probably relates to swords somehow, he was insistent to Ando that he needed a sword to defend himself. Angela obviously has some sort of mental power. She helped Peter get his memories back (or at least remember about her and his brother), can resist Matt to some extent and did very well at convincing Nathan's wife. My guess is Adam's other "power" is an inability to feel pain. That would make him very, very dangerous indeed as no pain = no fear (certainly no physical pain, maybe even no mental pain either). Angela did say it was a power he developed in to, and this would make sense. EDIT: Canadian Promo: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qKwdT3HBSrU

Why does Mono sound actually matter? You're playing a guitar, a monophonic instrument...
