If The Joker dies i will be seriously pissed off. The film looks brilliant, but it had better end with him in jail or on the run.
-
Good to hear it's 2 films, maybe they can do the book justice?

My new comp got 900.4/933.7/4201.7 Final score = 4468.5 Not bad for a £40 CPU (AMD X2 BE-2300). Shall be upgrading after Christmas, either a Phenom (if they come down to reasonable prices) or a Q6600 (having to buy a new mobo is putting me off. Gonna try pushing this chip to 3GHz first, just because i can! Seems like an odd app, the final scores don't really represent real world performance at all.

priceless!

Thats why you force it to go RROD on you, free repair :p
-
Not quite sure what you mean by that? The features i listed aren't in any PC Shooter i've played

Sony 26T3000 Panasonic LMD70 Samsung 26R87 (or R88, both are the same) You can easily get good 32" sets for under £500 too. Shop off the net if possible, the price gap is huge! Try stores like DirectTVs, DigiUK, RGB Direct, Richer Sounds and Sound And Vision are all really good!

Im ashamed to say i've spent most of the time reading this thread laughing If you hit the curb at 45mph after breaking just how fast were you going before? Anyhow, hope it doesn't take you too long to heal. At least you have a Girlfriend to keep you sane, imagine if you were single :p

I kind of forgot there was online story co op Could only remember Terrorist Hunt. Anyhow, i think i mistook you for another user when i said you didn't like Halo 3. I remember there being someone on here who slags it off at every opportunity. To me Halo 3 is easily one of the most innovative games this year because it brought a wealth of new features to the First Person Shooter genre. Sure the ideas themselves weren't new, but very few ideas are. It's the application of these ideas and what they add to the genre that won the game the award. Portal and Crysis were both very innovative, but Halo 3's innovations add more to the genre. Theatre will likely be standard fare in a few years time.

Bloomin heck! When did that happen? C2D Wins...
-
Yeah, the chips are. A decent C2D motherboard costs £70+ though, good AMD boards can be had for £40. £30 ain't a lot of money, but spending an extra £30 on a graphics card will yield better results than having a C2D in the system

Mind Control?

I wrote out a nice big reply to this, but then i figured theres little point posting it. You wrote 7 lines of bull shit (OK, maybe 5. The last 2 were more or less correct.) I'll give you a hint. Point 1 is wrong, did you ever play Vegas? Point 2 is also wrong. Point 3 is correct, although it's a very simplified view and fails to see the implications of Theatre. You also fail to comment on how Halo 3 takes all of this and adds a social element. Write you're argument again and try harder, or just admit you don't think Halo 3 deserved the award because you didn't like it :p

Halo 3 makes sense i suppose, the first person shooter genre is one that is hard to innovate in. Halo 3 added quite a bit: 4 player co-op campaign that holds up to, and surpasses, the quality of the single player campaign Real-time map editing in the forge, and all the brilliant user-made game types that have spawned from it Being able to view any game from any angle in the theatre, and being able to bring you're friends along to view it too. All 3 of the above can be done in multiplayer, adding whole new areas to social gaming Thats all pretty innovative stuff, especially Theatre which is definitely first of it's kind. I actually miss it in other games! I think Edge were looking for a game that added to it's genre through innovation, rather than a game that innovated via a single game gimmick.

On the first, i have no idea. With the second you'd be cutting it fine. It's and EarthWatts PSU, which aren't bad but they are pretty basic. The case is really designed for small home/office machines, not gaming. Power isn't the only issue, cooling will be a major problem. The 8800GT pumps out a lot of heat, and because it lacks a dual slot cooler it's all going in to you're case. The NSK1380 isn't designed to cope with that, it would already run hotter than you're average full size PC case. Seriously, i'd be very, very worried about cooling. Can't find much on the NSK1380, but it's predecessor didn't get great temps with an Athlon 64 3200+ and an ATi X800 (http://www.sffclub.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=148&Itemid=99999999&limit=1&limitstart=6). Space might be an issue too, have you seen any sources that say an 8800 card will fit? I'd scrap the idea and either get a desktop case or an mATX case with better cooling. A dual slot GPU like the ATi 3870 or NVidia 8800GTS might also be a good idea, it will bring the temps down a fair bit.

Phone Microsoft and tell them, they are usually pretty helpfull
-
A budget would help brilliantly, theres a huge gap from the bottom end of the scale to the top end.
-
Not on that money, C2D chips are good but the rest are on par with they're AMD equivalents. Better to try to get a decent graphics card in there.
-
Thats why you focus on the Germany vs Russia side of it, then nobody cares :p

Cheers Chris Was struggling there! *ordered* EDIT: Im impressed, they're delivering it on Monday for free!
-
Z-4s it is! Just read a few impressive articles about them, will probably pick up a pair after Xmas to replace my X230s! Now to figure out where to buy, Pixmania want £8 for delivery I wonder if i can get away with buying the black ones?
-
My parents recently aquired a Mac as a Xmas present to themselves and the speakers REALLY suck. So being the nice little son that i am i figured i'd buy them a decent speaker system for Xmas, problem is it has to be white... So far i have these 3 on my shortlist: Creative i-Trigue L3450: http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/ProductInfo.asp?WebProductID=78573 Logitech Z-4i: http://www.pixmania.co.uk/uk/uk/651449/art/logitech/z-4i-loudspeakers.html JBL Creature II: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/78222 Don't want to go over £60 because i already have some other stuff for them. TBH the £43 of the JBL speakers is enough, i just don't like the look of them (and doubt my parents will either). So, any recommendations?

hmm, bit sneaky imo, brings the price of that Zen up a bit and then another £8 for postage. £130? The seller's having a laugh! Cheaper at Dabs and Pixmania -

Zune From what you've posted it sounds like the one you want to buy, and it seems to be a pretty good deal
