What is you're current one? Only one i know for a fact works is the Netgear WG111T because i was using it up until Acer released drivers for my PCI card. Oh and the Broadcomm 205, which is the card inside my laptop

I wasnt arguing against the Mac, the Mac is great! The only problem i have with Macs is Apple and their 'Its my ball and you're not playing with it' policy regarding hardware. If they dropped that i'd be running OS X as my day-to-day OS with Vista for Media Center, games and other stuff Its Windows compatability with just about any piece of hardware coupled with its ease of use, stability and security that made me call it the most solid OS around

LOVEFiLM finally sent me another game! Dead Rising is on its way along with a copy of Cars (film, not the game)! Really cant wait, wanted to try Dead Rising but haven't got around to buying it yet. Anyone up for Gears tomorrow night? Not had a decent game on it in weeks!

I see where you're coming from but Vista is still the most solid OS on the market. There really is no debating that: 1. Its stable 2. Its secure 3. Its reasonably user friendly 4. It has the sort of universal compatability that only a Windows system can offer I prefer Windows over OS X and Linux because its simply a case of whatever software/hardware you buy it just works. Wrap this up with the rest and imo we have a winner! Tis a bugger isnt it! I did the same(ish) except i broke XP before i bought Vista and therefore had to do a clean install anyway Look on the bright side, you now get to re-rip you're whole music collection!

Gamestation are begining to suffer from the trade ins though, 90% of my local store is second-hand games + consoles and they have crammed so much in there that its impossible to move around when its busy (i.e. weekends). I also dont find Gamestation any cheaper than game, they have the occasional good console bundle but other than that they're pretty much the same for price. I still like Gamestation but i use it more as a bargain bin than a games store these days. New games all come off the net or from Game/PC World/Discs & Disks (local independant)

I love how many Vista 'experts' in this thread don't actually use the OS. Correct me if im wrong but everyone in this thread that has upgraded is happy, doesnt that tell you something about how good Vista is? There are so many BS rumours going around that are picked up as fact by the clueless

Wouldnt thatg be pretty useless? If someone pulled a gun on you would you really have enough time to grab the rifle, release the safety and shoot back?

My 360 has scratched my Oblivion disk nicely, still works but there are loads of perfectly straight lines going from the centre of the disk to the edge. I get the odd "Disk Unreadable" message and the odd game freeze (usually during loading screens) from time to time too

tbh i'd just put the Wii through RGB Scart and save the bother. The picture is better through component but is it really so much better that its worth messing around with a switch?

Im only really considering the iPod because my dad's work stock it and he gets 30% staff discount. A 30GB Video iPod for £120 is a pretty good deal! If its less than that then its a no-no for me, turned down an N95 because its limited to 2 gig Basically im trying to weigh up wether to stick with my Sony T610i phone and buy an MP3/4 player or go with another music mobile. Ive got a backup of my iTunes library across a few DVDs but its a mess, track names are wrong, album art is missing and some tracks are in .aac (which WMP wont play) so i decided just to start again Boring. I think they deserve it, they've improved loads over the past 12 months. Gamestation on the other hand have stayed pretty much the same

Anyone got an Archos media player? Im seriously considering the Archos 404 to replace my Nokia N91 as a media player (i dropped it, the HDD shattered) Also considering a Video iPod, anyone have much experience with those? Can they output to TV?

I think the point is that it motivates you to carry on playing a game longer. Take Crackdown for instance, good game but very short. Without achievements it would be completed within a week, add achievements and its more like a month!

Acer released drivers for my laptop! Happy times! No more USB WiFi dongle! Im now completely satisfied with Vista, all my drivers work and therefore i see no downsides to XP

Works out good value though, £5 for 8 months Live. Just tell you're mate that you cant use his Live, therefore its no use to you and he cant use it when valuing his 360 Might get the whole thing for cheaper that way

Those arent AAA titles, the only big franchises there are Mario, Metroid, Smash Bros, Donkey Kong and Big Brain Academy. Some of the others could be system sellers but that remains to be seen really

not sure i want to see her in anything, it'd end up crap like Catwoman and Elektra

Pretty much my thoughts on it too, was anti-Vista a few months back because of the DRM. So far though it seems to have been a lot of fuss about nothing, ive seen none. If it does start to get in the way i wont hesitate to go out and buy XP MCE instead
