Game bought Gameplay in 2004 Found out an interesting fact while looking that up, GAME themselves were a small retailer until EB bought them up. The company we now know as GAME is just a re branding of Electronics Boutique It went down the lines of: 1995 - Electronics Boutique expand into the UK buy buying the Rhino Group (Future Zone stores) 1999 - EB buys it biggest rival, GAME 1999 - EB buys BarrysWorld, ScoreGames and CentroMAIL, expanding into Europe 2002 - EB rebrands as GAME and begins the process of separation from it's US counterpart 2004 - GAME buy Gameplay 2006 - GAME buy Gameswizards (Australia) and re brand them as GAME 2007 - GAME buy Gamestation Got to wonder how hard EB are kicking themselves now for letting the European leg split off

Thats business though, if a company needs to expand quickly they buy others. There is still competition in the specialist sector, Chips for example have expanded a massive amount over the past couple of years! 8 year old company and this is their store map: Game's share on the high street is massive but i think overall they'll probably only be taking around 25-30% between Game, Gamestation and Gameplay

Its taking control in a "If you want me then you'll stick around while i make my mind up if i want you" kind of way. Breaks are messy, it leaves one person twiddling their thumbs and the other holding all the cards. The right way to do it would be to discuss why she wants a break unfortunately thats a conversation that only she can really start. The only other methods are to wait, make her jealous or give her an ultimatum. Without knowing the girl nobody on here can really tell you whats best to do, only suggest what you can do

My Gamestation did, they competed with the local indie shop (and lost by the looks of it :p). Its the one bonus GS have over Game, I managed to get Guild Wars: Nightfall on the day of release for £22!

Gamestation have been a joke for the past couple of years! They basically became the TK Maxx of games retail! Its not something thats really workable because prices are still cheaper online, the only way to run a high-street business nowadays is to offer a good shopping experience (which Gamestation didn't) Good to see the brand is finally going to get the revamp it deserves

My dad just moved us from AOL $to Talk Talk, i nearly cried! Still going to be 1Mb/s but now theres a download limit of 40GB/month! The amount i download i could use that up in a week! Ah well, one more to add to the list of reasons why im thinking about moving out! Maybe he's doing it on purpose...

Got paid last friday, spent £90 on clothes. Went away for the weekend, £60 in travel. 2 nights out, another £70. Food while away, about £30. Sunglasses, £12. Rent, £100. I now have £80 to last me 3 and a half weeks So much for saving cash On the bright side though i got my new mobile (W810i) for free and on a better contract so im paying less every month Just need a 4GB Memory Stick Duo now so i can use the Walkman player properly GAH! knew i forgot something! This is a risky one but you could try it all the same: Tell her you won't wait. It gives you the power back, you're the one deciding if/when the relationship ends and it makes her think hard about whether she wants to loose you. If she doesn't then you'll be back together by the end of the week!

HDMI is only really on the 360 for when the component and VGA slots are taken up by something else, 1080p on 360 will never be a big thing because nearly 12 million people cant use it The 120GB HDD would be nice, ive only got 2GB left on mine (going to clear it out tomorrow, too many game demos) but its not a necessary thing until Microsoft sort out a UK video marketplace I'd buy one now, nobody knows when europe will see the Elite yet and between now and then you could be playing games!

Been playing Dead Rising all afternoon, i cant believe how good it is! Just died though and my save was a good 3 hours back Only real problem i have with the game is the text is too small to read on my TV so ive no idea whats going on! Games really should include a large text option for those playing on small standard def TVs...

A lot less hassle than ICS and Network Bridging

Yes and no. You can install stuff in 'compatability mode' for other Windows OS's but its not really to be relied upon. Ive used it for a fair few programs, most worked fine but some buggered up completely
