Jap audio? Ah crap, i hate having to read subtitles. I suppose thats the reason for the release date being brought forward then, they dont have to record any new audio

Vista runs OK on 512MB, add a 1GB flash drive using ReadyBoost and the performance is actually good! All ReadyBoost does is use the flash drive for the paging file instead of the hard drive, but when you dont have a lot of RAM this makes a massive difference. Vista can read/write to the paging file a lot faster so everything loads quicker. Its not a replacement for extra RAM, but for £20 or so its a damn good solution if you have a limited budget! There was a video around somewhere comparing it to a computer with 2GB RAM, the results were quite impressive -
dont tell me you watched the whole thing?!?!

Caris, going from you're music collection im thinking you'll like all these: The Subways Black Rebel Motorcycle Club - Bluesy rock, bit like Bedouin Soundclash Nine Black Alps - Similar to Foo Fighters The Dead 60's - Great indie/ska band The Music Feeder - Bit like Ash Look those up, let me know which ones you like. Got some more for you but no point posting them all up if you think those are too heavy.

It depends. If you use you're 360 as a DVD player then its probably worth it, if not then i'd save the £20 and stick to the bundled component cables. What TV are you using?
-
VGA is the best, capable of 1080p and upscaling DVDs to 720p It can look a bit worse on some TVs though, best to ask around to find out how it looks on you're TV

You'd have to be a pretty crazy Metal Gear fan to buy a Wii just to play as Snake in Brawl. If you're that crazy you'd definitely spend double that to play a proper Metal Gear game. Anyway, if the number of PS3 owners was THAT low Namco would soon port Metal Gear Solid 4 across to other platforms Snake being in Smash Bros is to try and grow the Metal Gear brand, nothing more And on that note, if Sonic is currently as unpopular as you make out then surely having him in Smash Bros would be a good idea?

that was sickening! glad it wasnt me, i'd probably trash my whole room out of frustration within the 1st minute

VC as a sub-forum of the Wii forum makes the most sense. 1. The games are Wii games 2. Origional content will be released over VC in the future 3. The Retro board is for retro gaming, i.e. playing old games on old consoles. What little discussion that goes on in there doesnt want to be burried by VC titles and news What advantages would merging with the Retro board really give?
-
Sonic will be in Brawl. If theres 3 3rd party characters then Sonic, Solid Snake and Bomberman. Cant see many other possibilities, the 3rd party characters all have to be gaming icons I suppose Tails is possible *shudders*

I never really liked Halo 1 on PC, it felt like a crap version of UT2K4. The vehicles werent as good, the action wasnt as frantic and the game modes werent so inspired. Im kind of worried im going to think the same about Halo 3 vs UT3. In my opinion the 2 games are very similar multiplayer-wise but Bungee have a lot of catching up to do
-
Nice idea but going to need better network speeds over here before it will work properly. I'd seriously consider getting a PS3 for this sort of thing if i wasnt limited to 256kb/s upstream

You can control the whole lot with it! Was using it last night but unfortunately its a bit laggy with only 512MB RAM. Guess i need an upgrade before i can ditch the keyboard -
AFAIK you can extend the warranty whenever you like (within the first year) but its £80 for 2 years from Microsoft. Better to buy the console from somewhere like Game or Argos, they'll extend the warranty for about £30 BTW, have you considered any of these deals? Gamestation: Premium Console Gears Of War Crackdown Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter 2 £299.99 Choices: Premium Console Gears Of War Crackdown PGR3 Xbox Live Arcade Unplugged Extra Wireless Controller £299.99 Amazon.de Premium Console £206.75 (import from Germany) Blockbuster Premium Console WWE SMackdown vs RAW or Pro Evo 6 Crackdown Gears Of War Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter 2 Extra Wireless Controller £319.99 (instore) Might be worth popping into Game too, Guitar Hero II is £30 when bought with any 360 console bundle The cheapest place for the Wireless adaptor is PC World, £50 collect at store (through their website). Same with the Live sub, £27.99 when bought with any game through their site (Kameo is £14.99 so you could get Sub + Kameo for £43, or basically Kameo for £3!) CEX also do the Wireless Adapter at £35, but its second hand. Shopto.net do Official Wireless pads for £19.99 Maybe we should have a sticky for 360 bundle deals + another for good deals on games?

Might have to try out this voice recognition software No, please dont. Its an pointless debate that ends the same way every time, i dont really want to argue the Windows corner again... -
I think Zendoku is just something to keep the banks/publishers off their backs. A developer working for 6 years without releasing a title cant be in a great way money wise

Classic Sonic looks fat...

If you're going to use a PC monitor then certain models of Samsung offer Component, Composite and S-Video connections Other than that your pretty stuffed for the Wii AFAIK, no VGA cables (yet)
-
Thats part of what makes it good! Xbox Live wouldn't be the same without being able to rip into some little American sh*t Dont think i'll be getting this, too many 360 games around that i need to pick up. Got a list of about 15 games so far and with each release its getting longer Once ive caught up on those i might go back to PC gaming for a bit
-
What connections does you're computer have? If it has DVI then run the PC down a DVI to HDMI cable, if not then VGA/Component/RGB Scart The problem with the Samsung is it uses 4 different panels and its a lottery as to which one you get. Samsung advertises these TVs as having an S-PVA panel and these are the ones that are given to reviewers. In reality, most people that buy these sets get the CMO panel which is far cheaper and no-where near as good The Samsung is a cracking TV if you get either the Samsung S-PVA or AUO A-MVA panels so to make sure thats what you get buy from a shop and ask to see the unit you're buying first. More on the panel stuff over at AVForums, just do a search in the LCD forum for Samsung S-PVA CMO

Just bought Crackdown, a 12 Month Xbox Live Sub and an Official Wired Pad from PC World. Was a bargain, all that for £77.96! Xbox Live is being gay though, it wont let me register the new subscription Ah well, no co-op Crackdown for me today
