  1. I've been drinking since I was 14, and I guess all my drinking buddies can testify to my excessive capacity for alcohol consumption. I just downed an entire bottle of 23% Sake, and I feel fairly drunk, so I guess thats your indicator of my tolerance. As for what Jayseven said, I'm not exactly fat, although I might be considered an alcoholic () so I guess my tolerance isn't going to be as high as some people, but I can most definitely hold my own. I can say that when I exceed the around 9 pint (within a couple of hours) I tend to get pretty down. So I generall keep within about 5 pints within an hour to start with and then it gets more gradual from there.
  2. Audioslave were aight, just not essential rock as far as I can tell. They only produced a few good tracks, whereas Rage and Soundgarden had full albums of classic material. Also, I guess my opinion on Grunge is a bit controversial, since I will always love Nirvana, I grew up listening to them, and much like Paul Simon is for you Dan, they're hardwired into my brain. I could never get bored of Smells Like Teen Spirit, even though whenever I put it on people complain about it being overplayed for example. Also: I am fooked.
  3. Hell to the mothertrucking yeah. I'm guessing most everyone will be either drinking age, or old enough to pass for drinking age, as that was pretty much the case in London, so shouldn't be a problem. Also might need to get a hold of some restricted substances. Aww right.
  4. O h man, I'm at my uncles house and everyones asleep, and I just plundered his Sake supply, man I feel so drunk. I'm in the mood for fried chicken. And watermelon. Off to Trocadero again tomorrow . Oh and if anyone wants to meet up for some arcade awesomeness tomorrow, I'd be totally up for it.
  5. Dude. That's not even a debate. It's Soundgarden all the way. Audioslave were second rate Rage during their debut and then just ventured into boring American soft-rock territory. Soundgarden will always be the 2nd best Grunge band ever
  6. I probably will be. Although my Uni starts in London on the 17th...and it's a pretty epic journey from there to Sheffield...but I will def try to make it since the last one was fucking awesome.
  7. Just read about Christian Bale getting arrested for beating up his mom. I lolled, because I'm dead inside.
  8. My actual name rhymes with Bard, and I am a Bard of sorts, and a friend came up with it one day when we were listening to Blind Guardian together. I like it, so it's stuck
  9. Hey, once you gain experience with the snipers as a soldier, I found them to be fairly kickass. I've only completed it as a Soldier so far, and the biotic powers are almost useless to begin with on the hardest difficulty, but yeah the female voice actor does seem more convincing.
  10. And as night after night you lie awake, unwantedly aroused by the sound of each and every one of them getting their freak on with someone who isn't you, you begin to see the reason and good sense in ingesting a cyanide capsule and shaking your fist at the unknown bastard that has to clean your rigid, incontinent corpse up in the morning. Yeah, I'm in pretty much the same situation
  11. Sweeney Todd - Entertaining, but I didn't really know what else to make of it. Occasionally hilarious, but that seemed a bit inappropriate against such a tragic story, so...about a 7.5/10.
  12. OMG, I love Hercules, tis second only to Aladdin in my book. I might actually go watch Aladdin right now : yay:.
  13. I thought the new episode, especially the spoof at the beginning, were absolutely shit. Bit of a shame, but they seem to be making a habit of talking absolute bollocks most of the time. Normally I wouldn't have a problem with that, but this ep wasn't even funny.
  14. Exactly. I enjoy watching movies on my own much more anyway (at leas the first time), because otherwise I tend to be looking at what my mates' reactions are, and I don't end up really seeing the movie for what it's worth, cause I'm pretty drunk by that point anyway... Anyway, I don't think I've enjoyed a film as much as I just enjoyed The Dark Knight for a long long time. Getting through the origin stories is all well and good, as they pretty much all follow a reasonably familiar template, but this really dug into the characters more than any other superhero flick has dared to so far. I'm definitely gonna go see this again, especially since Batman = teh best superhero evar... Wall-E tomorrow aswell. Awesome!
  15. The warranty man in the blue jumpsuit came and took my 360 away today. I'll be in the game within a week. Sorry bout this guys, been waiting to get some Gears in for months...
  16. I saw Batman Begins 3 times in the cinema, so I'm probably going to love this pretty hard. Aight, that decides it, I'm seein the 8:15 showing. Cannae waaaait!
  17. 3:10 to Yuma - Fucking amazing. I generally hate "westerns," so I was surprised by how hard this film kicked my ass. Ending was abrupt, but it all worked really well. 9.5/10 There Will Be Blood - Had to pause it a couple of times, as it meanders a lot (not as bad/awesome as Magnolia though) and I have a fairly short attention span, but it was a story well told. 9/10
  18. Raaaage! All my mates have already seen The Dark Knight. I'm thinking of being a loser, going out now, getting a bottle of scotch and seeing it on me bill. Suggestions?
  19. I'm not a big fan of Paul Simon, or Garfunkel, their music is just so sickeningly sweet and preachy it makes me sick in much the same way downing an entire triple chocolate fudge cake would. I don't contest that it is pretty classic stuff though. Just totally not for me.
  20. What the bare? McMad's in a halfway cheerful mood? My understanding of the world has been shaken to it's foundations. Guy clearly got some tail today. Or at least some tongue. Damn you! *shakes fist*
  21. Sorry bro, my machine just died, which sucks something fierce. Still, got warranty, so I'm gonna go into Game and get a new one tomorrow. Woot.
  22. So, anyone up for a game later today?
  23. Prison Break Season 1: Interesting, but the characters are all so cliche ridden and obvious, it was a little annoying (especially the CIA agents). Still entertaining as fuck though. 8/10
  24. Hulk; Ed looks bored as fuck all the way through. Liv Tyler isn't that hot. 5/10.
  25. I've been in rehab.
