    Oh balls. Got 48 quid in my account. Enough to buy a ticket, but not enough to actually get fucked out of my skull. I'll have to bail once again. Why doesn't somebody do it while I'm actually in London! Might have to do it myself...Let's say...14th Feb around Hyde Park? I'll be there.

    Not talking about style of music, but more about the impact they have/ had on the kids that listened to them at the time. Both bands have some pretty iconic songs, and both bands defined the popular musical zeitgeist to an extent. To some people First Date might be their equivalent of Black Dog, if you see what I mean. Maybe I'm just talking shit. Had an interesting convo with a mate about this though.

    Nah, can't say it was, I met my better half this year, sparks happened etc. She moved in a month and an half ago, and life has been awesome ever since[/cheese]. Although if we're looking at relationships strictly outside "that" particular area of interest, the guy I considered my best mate for years hasn't talked to me since the summer...which is faintly depressing, but hey, shit happens.

    Being the bitter human being that I am, I feel the need to inflict my addiction to this song on everyone: To be fair, they're one of those bizarre bands that don't work on record at all. In fact I don't think they do anything particularly special musically, it's just live that the spectacle is so thoroughly surreal that you can't help but be slightly mesmerised. Kinda like Genghis Tron... Also: Seeing as I'm fairly hyperactive at this moment in time, and in the mood to make controversial statements, I'll just go ahead and say it: Blink 182 are the Led Zeppelin of our generation. Discuss.

    Anybody here like The Locust? Every sound they make horrifies me, yet I'm completely addicted. Saw them live a couple of weeks ago too, in their frankly ridiculous Locust suits. Great band.

    Julius Caesar: I read this before but enjoyed it so much more this time, especially due to an essay I had to write comparing it to Othello and Paradise Lost, actually quite awesome. Brutus is a bad motherfucker. Bit on the short side. 10/10. Frankenstein: Interesting, but only really because I went straight into it after reading up on Marx's theory of ideology. I guess it was written when MS was 18 so fair props. More than just a horror story, even though that's what it was really intended to be. 7/10.

    So the uni hate seems to be fairly unanimous. That's pretty wierd to me, I'm loving my course, and just the whole experience is brilliant. Although admittedly that could be because I spent the previous year doing absolutely fuck all with my life.

    Just woke up and had a shower, now doing my awesome Shakespeare assignment, where we have to transcribe a passage from a play into prose and then talk shit about it. After that gonna go for a sunday roast at spoons with friends. Good day

    This was so awesome. Exactly what I wanted from a special, although, it would have been much better if there was a Goku/Vegita fusion rather than Gotenks. Brought out the child in me.

    Living with your gf is kinda annoying at times, I find it impossible to do any work, or even any of the things I used to do, like post on here, or listen to podcasts. It makes me sad. Anyway, my sleeping pattern has made it so that I haven't seen the light of day, unless it's been just before I go to sleep, for about a week now. Still need to complete Gears of War 2.

    My gf comes pretty close, but I don't think you can ever get your "ideal" person, so It's pointless to try and idealise a human being to that extent. You'll never be happy that way, there will always be some small thing about your significant other that'll annoy the shit out of you.

    Just cooked myself the most amazing Steak and Potatoes with black pepper sauce, evaaaaaar. I think today's been the first day in two weeks where I've gotten up before 5. Gonna go hit the gym, and then treat myself to some Gears. Fook yeh.
