    Ah my old nuggets of wisdom. Anyway, new Mastodon album. Verdict = Atmospheric, musically inspiring, fan-fucking-tastic. I prefer it to Blood Mountain. Not sure where it stands among the oldies, but it's more than worthwhile on its own merit. Ps. I am prone to hyperbole.

    No. No you don't understand. Subjectivity doesn't come into it at all. SFIV is most definitely a better game. As are SF2, SF3 and SF Alpha. Now, whether you prefer EX Plus Alpha speaks more about your own personal neurosis than the quality of these games...

    Girlfriend went home for the weekend so I finally got a chance to tidy up my room. Just realised that approximately 1/3 of the shit in here actually belongs to me. *Sigh* I swear this relationship is characterised primarily by the onset of hypogonadism. The worst part of it is that I feel so emasculated I can't even muster up the will to complain to her. I need space damnit

    You can roll up your nostalgia and smoke it =p. Still, neither of you can say that SFIV isn't infinitely superior as a fighter without being branded criminally insane =p.

    There is so much misinformation in this post I don't even know where to begin. You do realise that cancelling had existed, and was a fricking huge part of the original Street Fighter 2, and every single 2D SF game since? That game was a completely untested, slothlike shallow mess, probably because it wasn't even developed by Capcom internally, it was outhoused. Anyway, starting to get half decent at this game, not making the same stupid mistakes I was before, but those were mostly due to old habits from past iterations. I haven't had this much fun in so long

    That game was notoriously shite. The concept of cancelling barely existed in that game, it was mechanically kaput.

    Listening to new Lamb of God album. Sounds more like Sacrament than anything else. Seems like a fairly enjoyable slice of modern metal, although there's nothing so far that seems to stand out to me particularly. Probably give this a once over and move on. The problem is that there really are promising parts in almost every song, but repetition and lack of anything truly surpising just makes it a bit dull. Favourite live acts? Sunn O))), Mastodon, My Bloody Valentine, Opeth, Nile. Justice were fucking awesome too. To be fair, I haven't seen very many live bands due to incredible lazyness.

    This is awesome, looks like people are finally getting properly into SF =D. I'm really loving getting the hang of Akuma. So many more combo opportunities compared to the other shotos, seeing as you can combo either his light, or EX Tetsumaki into a heavy shoryuken. Only problem is not being able to combo into his super or ultra moves, but other than that, he's turning into my favourite character, since they kinda screwed Ken in this game.

    Got two of them, they're 4-gate instead of the usual 8-gate, but work fucking perfectly for fighters.

    Kens HP in the air seems to have greater priority than his HK in this game, so you might want to try that instead, and your combo might work better if you use an MK as the second part of that since you can combo directly into a shoryuken from it, while a HK leaves some open frames for the opponent to block =). I might borrow that combo actually, sounds fun =p.

    Hahaha. He's probably just better than you, Ken was kinda nerfed in this game teebs. If you're gonna complain about anyone, it should be fucking Sagat.

    I think I'm gonna start maining with Akuma, start learning a new character (I'm thinknig either Sagat or Bison), and use Ken as a backup. Some of Akuma's combos are quite difficult though, since his cancelled shoryuken seems to give you less input frames than Ryu or Ken. Total beast though.

    Jade Empire is fantastic, loved that game to bits. Not sure about Dreamfall though, never played it, although I seem to remember Jordan saying that it was great.

    Can we have like...Street Fighter nights now? It would be awesome, like. I know Danimal is up for it. Played some online matches tonight, was practically lag free, although there was a slight frame delay. My only real complaint is that this game is fucking slow. Like, as slow as the original Street Fighter 2. *sigh* Bring on Street Fighter 4: Turbo.

    This game is pretty bad motherfucking ass, but it is sooooo different from 3 it's insane. Loving it so far though. Hoping to see some of you fools online over the weekend
