  1. Yes, but there are import copies available on Amazon.co.uk, so there's really no excuse not to get it. Everyone's always going on about Another Code and Hotel Dusk, but 999 has a much more interesting plot. I'm sure this game will be yet another reason to hate on Nintendo for region-locking the 3DS.
  2. It wouldn't Little King's Story if it didn't take five minutes to make it up a ramp!
  3. If this had been a completely original game I think I would have liked the look a lot more, but it's a definite downgrade compared to the unique look of the Wii game.
  4. I hate how no one else is excited about this. Judging by the trailer, the game seems to be at least somewhat related to 999. You've got the door with a number, similar watches and a quick flash of the same bad guy (or someone wearing the same disguise). Some of the characters also look eerily similar to characters in 999, but that could just be because they have the same designer. There were no talking animals in 999, though, so that's a bit strange. I guess it could be a genetic experiment/robot/dwarf in a suit, though.
  5. Maybe it is a remake, but 1Up seems to assume it's a remake solely because of the name, which doesn't make any sense to me. "Hey, it's called New King's Story, this is obviously a remake."
  6. Fair enough. It was just that when you said that Little King's Story wouldn't work on a handheld you said that the reasons it wouldn't work were that it was complicated and required a significant time investment, which I didn't agree with. If you want to argue that Little King's Story in particular (and not longer/more complicated games in general) wouldn't work on a handheld, I'm not going to disagree with you. I see your point about Metroid Prime: Hunters. Usually this happens when a publisher gets a second-rate developer to make a handheld game in a home console series. You end up getting a game that plays the same as the other games in the series, but worse, and looks the same, but worse. Metroid Prime om the DS could have worked (just like Fusion worked, despite being similar to Super Metroid), but Hunters just wasn't a good game, period. As for the sequel to Little King's Story, I really do think it's just being developed for the Vita because it's cheaper. Looking at the scan, it's clear that no one involved with the sequel has played the first game. :p
  7. Quick, Flink - flash her someone else's penis!
  8. For gaming on the go? :p I still say there's no reason we can't have both kinds of games. You can play Electroplankton for five minutes while you're waiting for the bus, and some other time when you're on a long train ride, you can play something deeper. Just like how some days you're just in the mood for a few Smash Bros. matches, while other days you want to spend six hours playing Xenoblade. But yeah, maybe this particular game isn't the best example. It looks... different. Could be good, I guess. Doesn't really look a lot like Little King's Story so far, though. Oh no! Quick, Flink - flash her your penis!
  9. GUYS PLAY 999 IT'S AWESOME I SWEAR GUYS YOU'RE GONNA LOVE IT. I love how every game he writes is about a group of people having to escape from somewhere. This had better be translated.
  10. Handheld gaming is by its very definition portable. Not everyone wants bite-sized gaming. Games like Persona 3 Portable, Radiant Historia, Trails in the Sky (really, most RPGs), Zelda, Ace Attorney and so on are all games that require a certain time investment, and people seem to like them anyway. Not every handheld game has to be Angry Birds. As for the scan, I wouldn't have known that was a sequel to Little King's Story if it hadn't been posted in this thread.
  11. The NCR always wanted the strip, though. The only reason they didn't try to take it from Mr House was because they were waging war against the Legion at the time. They'd never let you keep it if you gave them control of Hoover Dam. They'd just shut off your power and send in the cavalry. So you shouldn't feel so bad about killing them.
  12. Don't let Flink hear that you don't want kids. His biological clock is ticking! One of my old classmates lives in the house next door with her husband and two kids. It's slightly disturbing. I think video games have stunted our emotional growth.
  13. Haha, you should try playing the first Fallout. You can't give your companions better armor - they don't even level up! Half the time they end up killing each other. Give them a weapon with a burst mode and they'll "accidentally" blow your head off every chance they get. The only way to keep Dogmeat alive through the final dungeon (fat chance keeping him alive until you get that far) is to trap him behind doors so he doesn't keep walking into laser traps. You just said you wanted to shaft them! Either you give them what they want, or they get mad at you. You can't have your cake and eat it too.
  14. That's funny, because that's exactly what your post read like. All twenty paragraphs of it. It was almost tl;dr, but it was so desperate that I couldn't stop reading it. And when your defense boils down to... a) "It's okay that they're milking Call of Duty because every game comes with a new five-hours single-player campaign with a nonsensical story and a bunch of new multiplayer levels!" and, b) "It's okay that they're milking Call of Duty because Electronic Arts have been doing/are currently doing the same thing, guys! Everyone else is doing it too! Don't you see, guys?!" ... It's really hard to take any of it seriously.
  15. Don't forget World of Goo.
  16. You just described every single Kirby game.
  17. Why does it have to be on a handheld? Why did Valkyria Chronicles 2? Because it's significantly cheaper to develop for handhelds, of course. I'm not sure why you don't think Little King's Story would work on handhelds. I think there's room for all different kinds of games. It's not like they can't change things for the sequel. The save system in the first game sucked, anyway. I love how you just snuck this in in a completely unrelated thread. This is way more exciting than any Little King's Story sequel could ever hope to be.
  18. Happy birthday, Molly. Say hi to Kurtle from me.
  19. There are save files on GameFAQs. Might be worth checking out if you just want to finish the game. Haha, at least my parents never promised me anything. I know I shouldn't complain about how they spend their money, but they're not even watching HD channels! Everything just looks washed out. I'd put that TV to much better use. :p
  20. Don't worry, Pancake. I'm sure your mom is familiar with vaginas. Her own, I mean. Man, it kind of sounds like I'm calling her a lesbian!
  21. To be fair, aren't most games some of the lesser Sonic games?
  22. My parents bought a new HD television because suddenly the old one was too small. And then they moved the old one into the other room, so now they have an HD TV each, while I'm still stuck playing HD games on an old SD television. A stupid thing to complain about, sure, but at least now people's other bad stuff will look less silly next to ReZ's tale of death and despair.
  23. Diageo's into anything he can steal from someone else.
  24. I like the non-rapey version of the latest update, but I don't like how the narrator now sounds like Del Boy in the first update.
