I think it's because good streaming engines are a lot harder to program and Capcom wants to put as little time and effort into its games as possible.

I remember plenty of reviews complaining about the graphics not being that great, but that may have been the PC version. I've never heard of this 'Touhou' thing you're talking about, so that's not it. I'll draw you a picture. Maybe then you'll be able to guess something. 38 is a remake, if that helps.

He has the most generic character design ever. :p I don't remember any heavy rain in A Vampyre Story, but I guess that's close enough. None of these are correct (well, 49 may be Heavy Rain...). As for 44, it's very possible that you've seen the guy before! The game was released in the West pretty recently. ... Or maybe he just looks like every other anime dude ever.

Yes, but again, you can make that same argument about television in most countries. CBS is the most popular network in the US and they have two NCISs, two CSIs (used to be three) and one Criminal Minds (which had a failed spin-off not long ago). They're all sort-of-cop-shows. CBS is also the American home of Big Brother and The Price is Right.

I gave up on expecting logic in Red Dwarf when I watched that episode where there's an alien that attaches to people's foreheads and turns them into hippies or whatever and at one point it attaches to Rimmer's forehead, even though he's a hologram. It really bugged me.
