  1. Two kids lip-syncing seingfeld. Oh and go 'next' after that for a gaga acapella cover of awesomeness. I like wimp.
  2. Today; - Trip to NETTO - buy some FOOD - Be too lazy to COOK - Watch Smallville/Supernatural - THAT IS IT. Wadda day. Tomorrow; - Wake up LATE - Sort out PHONE - Because it won't TEXT - Then go to a house PARTY - Which will be LAME because only EIGHT people have confirmed attendance - ATTENDENCE! - ATTENDANCE? - Cry some river named fuckoffanddie
  3. Coloured fags? I've never heard you be so derogative!
  4. As would I, R_A. Really? That's your snappage? Your ideal world is one where the core decency of humanity is overlooked -- caring for those who cannot care for themselves? That's the point of redistrbuting wealth, isn't it? Personally I'm happy to pay taxes because it's an evil that we all have to endure, and because I'm a fan of the "money can't buy you happiness" school of thought (although being 'comfortable' certainly relieves a lot of stress!). As far as I can see, the general consensus with this thread is that smokers generally pay their way. I did state in my first post that smokers should not be paid to give up, but I also mentioned that I haven't a clue what the OP is really on about. etc, again. Too much tangential argument consumes me Local council gets council tax fo' sho'. As for income tax, VAT, NI, customs &c, I'm not the guy to give you any sort of filteration figures. I'm sure certain councils get more funding from the gov. than others do for whatever reason... Smoking is indeed smelly. I demand cherry tobacco become the norm!
  5. So essentially we should all pay different rates of tax, decided by filling out a tick-box form of things we're happy to see our money go to. I don't drive so I don't need roads resurfaced, and I don't live in manchester so I hardly see why any of my money should go to their schools or libraries or streetlights ET FUCKING C. Yeah, stupid argument on my part, I know. But this thread is full of factless truths so I thought I'd contribute to the heap that, hopefully, eventually weighs enough to trip this thread right offa the first page.
  6. I was showing teh Slap Chop vid to my housemates last week. I'm totally getting one... when I'm drunk enough and a credit-card is nearby.
  7. Oh. Well, point made useless I guess :P
  8. 10 chances to 0, 4 goals, get in 5 players in x11 -- curse eddage for having a better keeper than me these days The promotion race is between 4 teams, but at the moment the E3 (emo, edd, eights) looks favourites for promotion into the CRAZY LEAGUE.
  9. Skipped the thread in order to not get tied up in any arguments; I smoke, and I disagree with this idea entirely. If people wish to give up, they need to do so because they want to give up, not because money, of all things that are evil in this world, is supposed to be their motivator. No. However! I have no idea what this story is. For all I know, the story equates to "people who wish to give up smoking get free nicotine patches", in which case, yeah, sure, free stuff to help kick the habit is fine. Yeah. I think a link to some sort of article relating to this 'news' would be handy before we start just stabbing the chimneys.
  10. Lawl! That's actually where me, letty, bard, stefkov, chuck and mcphee stayed during the n-e london meet 2008! Roadkill and my mate Ben (Benc0der, once upon a time) also crashed the place the 2nd night. I booked it, so I win. Anyway; because there were 6 of us we had our own room so I can't comment on what it's like sharing, but the other visitors seemed mostly to be 14-16 year old kids. And the staff decided to forget that we booked for two nights, so after the meet itself we returned to find all our stuff in bin-bags behind the reception desk... BUT it's cheap, the breakfast is decent enough and it truly is very close to King's Cross. The coinky-dinky of it all bemuses me lots.
  11. Yes! I watch supernatural. A couple of weeks behind atm due to a dead laptop, but yes the show gets better and better. I'd say season 4 was a bit of a letdown, despite several very clever episodes that were presented as 'narrative' episodes. Season 5 continues the explosion in story, but I think there's been a lot more filler that hasn't been necessary. Oh and Supernatural used to be on Fridays straight after smallville. As far as I'm aware (which isn't very, so I'm almost certainly massively wrong), this season was teh only time it aired on a different day.
  12. georgie willis! Never met her, but she has orgie in her name so she can't be all that bad.

  13. laaaawl... yeah that's adam, and the guy on teh right is one of my housemates! I told him when I saw him recently that I thought we looked like twins. So many weird connections - he was on the same course as nami (my flatmate last year, if you remember) so yeah... that's really fucking weird. Lawl!!!!!

  14. The girl in the white top with jeans in the first pic eenuh posted has ass. Please tell me she's desperate and lonely?
  15. Charlie; she's keeping her options open. If you're totally not bothered about her like you say you are, then do the right thing and be unavailable to her for a few weeks to let their relationship cement. Dan; I Love You.
  16. I've not had a drink since sunday, and I'm sitting here with my laptop and lots of stuff to watch. Normally I'd do it to the tune of cider to help relax. I have work at 11am so I'd not be hungover, netto closes at 8 so I'd have to decide soon. I'm going out tomorrow evening and I guess I'm thinking that I don't need an excuse to drink tonight as I have one tomorrow, so I'm asking for permission. I think I know what the answer is...
  17. Charlie; certainly sounds like she's running around behind his back. Too early to confront her about that sitch, so maybe ask her to invite the bloke so you can meet the lucky chap? Soo... Somebody decide! Do I get any cider tonight?
  18. I thought I saw you actually - as I was crossing the zebra crossing near bramall lane stadium on charlotte road, I thought I saw you driving past...
  19. First thing I'd do is go on the internet and tell the world! Become a youtube sensation, create a twitter account ([/i]"Day 23, 5pm, still stuck to the carpet", etc).
  20. - That's actually the waysevenly way - Saw half my family - Realise my dad is a bit of a tosser - Sister looked like she was going to cry when I mentioned how big her fetus probably is about now - Not in the "yay!" kind of way... - Lots of anecdotes, but I don't like to talk anymore. - NEW LAPTOP! Must be a vampire because it sparkles! - First port of call; catchuponstuff. Ultimate Fighter, House, Lost and Breaking Bad are first. - Ex came and stayed for a couple of days. Lots to think about. - Finished uni! Perhaps. Need to pass the exam. - Bought shoes, hoodies, PESTLE AND MORTAR, HAIRCUT! - Really, really can't decide whether to drink tonight or not - Work at 11am... One can in the house... you decide, NE!
  21. I'd make a fugly girl, so I'd probably not really be able to take advantage of anything, but if I was half-hot I'd just spend all my time seeing how much free stuff I could get.
  22. Sorry to be dragging this out - large space between days I get online don't help. In general one-show threads like the Lost one, generally it is ok to talk about the latest show once it's aired in the UK, so those watching a week ahead via t'internet spoiler-tag their discussion. However, general, all-encompassing threads are different because the reader may not know what they are potentially going to stumble upon. Just because you don't give a shit about a TV show does not detract from the point at hand, does it? And just because it was annoying for you to know about buffy doesn't mean everyone else has to endure spoilers. While most TV shows are designed to pick up new viewers at the beginning of seasons etc, it's still good manners to not spoil anything for anyone. So I stick to my guns - anything you think may be a spoiler should be tagged and labelled appropriately so that people will know whether the contents will spoil the show for them. I really don't see any argument about it, and I don't think "I don't like the show so I don't care" really constitutes any meaning or weight for your part.
  23. Being informed about whether a show has another season coming or not doesn't affect viewing a show in the same way as finding out Aeris dies (!), and generally people's reviews of TV shows are in spoiler tags for the large part. An overview/blurb of an episode that wouldn't be amiss from a TV schedule are common and give a viewer an idea of what to expect, rather than spelling out the entire course of the programme which would make the actual sitting and watching completely null and void. My logic concedes that not everything needs to be in spoiler tags! I know that the season finale for smallville is epiccool but I don't know why. You must accept that there's a difference? I'm not going to try and define the line any further because it's totally ridiculous to try and construct rules and procedures to prevent anything being spoiled ever, but judgment and common sense should make it clear when a tag is needed or not [/obv.], and I still stick with my decision that sparked this racket - summarizing smallville's seasons ought to be in spoiler tags so that people can choose whether to read up or not.
