  1. As I said, I get info on people only if nobody else targets me. This means, surely, that if someone targets me I would get absolutely no info at all, rather than a PM telling me the person's name. I waited until now because I didn't think I knew for cert whether someone would be evil simply by knowing their name (unlike people who are convinced I must be bad simply because I'm jack sparrow, ffs), and in all honesty I completely missed Dazz's rolecall. I did mention my recognition of smeagol's character, insinuating Peeps had done well to align the name with the role (which was obv. from the write-up). All I got on both nights was a pm saying that nobody targetted me, that my target [x]'s character is [y]. People are going from saying "oh, normally evil pirates in this game appear to be townies, so therefore vice-versa must be true!" to "hmmm but that's a nice-sounding character, surely not..." can't we just follow a more likely "well, I guess it's a mix." My info on smeagol is correct so I see no reasoning to suggest my info about dazz is wrong. I fucked up not noticing his call earlier. Lastly, I think that I ought to have cleared myself in your eyes. You said that you voted for me because of two reasons; the first was because I was hounding you, which I've not stopped and roleclaimed, the second because two people didn't immediately vote for me straight away (wtf, seeing as I have 4 votes pretty damn immediately if you ask me). doublepost- loltiming.
  2. Lol! Yeah I found Smeagol was Davy Jones, doi. Vote: Dazz Eh, where are the ghosts that you need protecting from...
  3. Methinks these three need to do some explainin'.
  4. Nightwolf; joint 2nd with molly :P
  5. I targetted Rummy on night 4. I have no idea if I'm unkillable or not! Also, if nobody targets me then I get some info on my target. Night 2 nobody targetted me and I learned that Dazz is Jim Hawkins. Night 3 I targetted Smeagol, and found he was Smeagol. Means on nights 1, 4 and 5 I was targetted. I don't think I am able to give any more info, folks.
  6. So here it is! Votes have been tallied and... well, just tallied. Most awards were pretty clear cut, only a few close calls and a couple of potential upsets -- mostly there were barely 10 votes made in total. So here we are, in no particular order! Feel free to provide your own drumroll and/or fanfare. I will go and lie down for a bit. 7. Changevote: heroijan Satisfied? nintendohnut; I am swayed now :P YOu said you were a young, bearded peg-legged guy even though pegleg pete isn't young and doesn't really have a beard, but you've gone for my weakness - semantics. my role; redirector. People who direct me will target my target instead. I thought I was the epic pirate but now I genuinely can't tell who I am in any of the write-ups. I can guarentee you that I am not evil in any way whatsoever, and I think there are several people here that are hoodwinking us -- jonnas and cube for starters.
  8. Easily make it in 15 mins, and I lived opposite Costcutters remember! SO! I spent my NYE drinking, playing various board games and just chatting shit. At one point my freinds accidentally DDoS'd their friends website after writing a program to find a picture of a foot with an android on it. I don't really remember much. Some deep chats and lots of TRON. Next day woke up at 3pm and we were drunk again by 5, and I was supposed to get on a train at 3, ended up getting on a train at like 7 then heading straight to a mate's house to watch UFC125 live at 2am, then went to bed around 6am and woke up at 1.30 and then got home and aaaah relaaax!
  9. I sorted a sheff meet remember? I did it by naming a time, place and date and then people just started turning up.
  10. I think they look awesome! I've mentioned my thing about eyes before. When you stare into that black abyss, you're seeing something that shouldn't be seen - it's almost an invasive act. I can't help but stare at animal's eyes. People's eyes. Eyes. Souls. Beams. Decay. PAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!
  11. My vote is stupid. Just need people to see what I see!! Changevote: Cube
  12. 'alloo! Ridiculous, if you ask me. And I still find it mad that people are ignoring nintendohnut! Someone with a peg leg has killed. Nobody else in any of the write-ups has been described as having a peg leg. Nintendohnut cannot identify himself in that write-up. I see no other way about it - he's mafia. They must be able to choose different killers, and he clearly wants no more of it now he's been caught out by me. I suspect jonnas and cube and heroijan. We have too many double-voters, I reckon one is the captain of the mafia's ship. Vote: Nintendohnut because i refuse to let this go.
  13. PS3 totes wins there. Biggest loser? Wii. No motion-crazy stuff in the list at all (unless there is some sort of mocap-alt control for some of these games, which doesn't count!) which isn't exactly how teh consoles appear to want to shape the future of gaming. 360 only haveing one exclusive on that list is pretty fail.
  14. Thripped. Edited OP in a vain attempt to not piss someone off, or something.
  15. Mildly epic champagne/white, red, rose/cognac/cider hangover has prevented me from getting the train when I wanted. Must endure two and a half hours of madness.
  16. Lol I remember one NYE - Dan invited me out with his mates to Bears And Bungalows pub/club/bar thing. At about half 11 I went outside for a smoke, had a chat with a passing friend then was told by the bouncers that I had to join the queue to get back in -- it had already taken like 30 mins of queueing to get inside and this time the queue was way bigger. I had to send Dan an apology text, and instead picked up a crate of 12 cans of cider on the way home and drank the evening in while watching six feet under. As the clock struck twelve I started cheering and singing, in my drunken state. Can't remember where shorty/nami were on that occasion. You peeps are so fail for being so meh about it.
  17. Bingo, Ashley :P It's what I've been saying for the last 3 years! Rummeh; it'll totes happen. I'll fling a 'be here at this time on this day' thing out when it gets warmer.
  18. And both are players any team would want. Anyway, the FA's 'youth' rule that was introduced this year is more aligned with what I mean.
  19. nyaaarg i hvae no points! CURSES!
  20. kniht and day 8/10?! No. I forget what I've seen this year. I'll largely go on what you've posted. The Road Me and Dan Dare had a man-date with this movie. I think we agree that the book was better, but this was one of the more successful adaptations around. Personally I had a few niggles with how certain scenes were dealt with -- the boy spotting someone, and, yes, the final scene with guy pierce. The former is, to me, one of interpretation, but the latter is maybe pandering to a wider audience. However, accuracy in mind it did a great job of delivering the haunting atmosphere. Kickass What a hoot! I had no expectations at all, and I was supremely surprised by Nicholas Cage appearing in a decent movie!!! madness. Great fun, hope a sequel won't be stupid. Inception Very much my kind of movie. I saw this with my lady and two friends and I'm fairly certain I was the only one with a smile on their face at the end. Very much a big-budget Matrix in tone, and perhaps a less-likely canditate for cult fame, but a very valiant effort to explore concepts, even if they were a weee bit preordained. Tron A sequel, ish, to a much-loved childhood movie. I was unable to watch it without the red goggles of nostalgia. I enjoyed it greatly, but I understand that it is essentially a disney movie. Twas my first 3D movie and gladly it wasn't one that relied heavily on such a ridiculous and annoying concept for a one-eyed man to endure. Style was strong here, substance arguably weak, but similar to the first film there simply was not enough awesome action scenes! __ I've probably missed several things. I'm not very good at remembering what happened when. Fairly sure I saw a movie with Shorty at some point. Was Wolverine this year? If so OH MY GOD SO SORRY FOR REMINDING PEOPLE OF THAT BULLSHIT. At xmas I got a year membership to the local indy cinema, so hopefully 2011 will provide a grander post :P
  21. DIAGEO You caused a stir because you insinuated that people who found it funny were retards. We raterds take graet affens to you thinking we do not find hitlar funniey! Have you never seen his stash? It is to the hilarious squared. MODHAT SPEAKS SAYS TOPIC STAYS ON TOPIC SPEAK ONLY OF HITLER My modhat is such a jew.
  22. My third! First was based on a cassette a mate found at a car boot in sheffield; was a football-themed one. Second was a performance by a local theatre group, in combination with some sort of cooking class. They put on an average performance and school-dinner food, but the atmosphere was great fun. This time two of my friends came up with teh script and the menu from scratch and it was an utterly brilliant night They're thinking of doing a wild west one next time. I'm tempted to help them with script/characters (probably based on my mafiawesome: San luis Six :P) as they had a few errors this time... but there's not really anything to gain from it. I've had so many memorable new year's that it's hard to agree with you. My core personality would probably agree, but I think that if I sat down and worked it out I could probably tell you precisely where I was for each NYE for the last 20 years; each has been so memorable for one reason or another. The one time at my mum's friend's house where I first heard Auld Lang's Syne (or whatever it's called) and we got the dog drunk (I was like 6 years old), or the time at my (then) best friend's house where we conga'd down the street at the stroke of midnight - that is, a line of adults, and I would've been 10 at the most - or the time I organised a gathering down at the lagoon, everyone said maybe then 30+ people turned up and we all did shots in the park and celebrated midnight several times as none of us had correct watches, or the time when I was one of three kids and the other two were obsessed with duke nukem -- or at least paying the pixellated strippers to show us their jagged boobs over and over and over and over and... The time when a bunch of us were at a mate's desolate house - his mum and nan had died and he'd inherited two houses, one of which was whitewashed but had no furniture. We sat in the front bedroom playing games and essentially having a picnic, not realising the new year had dawned 'til about 1am. The time I was on IRC chatting to n-ers, ready to spend the evening there -- then a mate invites me over last-minute (god bless MSN) and like 8 of us stumble into his house and get the msot drunk any of us had at the time (16 at the time i think) Or the time at my old house where my mum hosted and had loads of adults and one of her friends threw up on my shoes and another of her friends secretly fed me vodka and lemonade (aged... sub-10 again!) One year I hosted a party (18?) and my girlfriend, bless her soul, got extremely pissed. I spent the entrance to the new year wishing ym unconscious girlfriend a happy new year and kissing her forehead after she broke a bottle of vodka. The previous year I hosted it and spent it out the back of my house smoking weed, eating a kebab and, with two mates, cursing the stupid people in my house. To me, NYE has always, always, always been a wonderful experience. No two seem to have ever been the same. I've just realised how epically long this post is... but yeah, I guess NYE is one of my favourite days of the year and yet I never get excited for it or plan anything, and each year I have a totally new experience.
  23. Perfect vid to describe why I don't like Curb Your Enthusiasm. Controlling soundtrack, OTT 'improv' and serious lack of FUCKING COMMON FUCKING SENSE.
  24. JUST got in from a thrilling murder mystery night, completely organised by two mates. Food was top notch, story and script was ace and fun was had throughout. Started at 6pm and I didn't even properly check to see what the time was until midnight, which shows you how entertaining it all was. Great fun! Only thing is that now I'm not looking likely to make my midday train to london - no matter, I'll get one when I wake up.
  25. Ironically I think Hodgeson does best with a mediocre squad, squeezing more draws against middling sides than would be expected of him. I'm pretty sure I mentioned it in this thread back when he was hired that it was a mistake, as it is so blood clear that liverpool do best with a flourishing attack mentality. Asides from him, Joe Cole's gotta be the biggest let-down for the year so far. Chelsea did without terry and lampard or ages and struggled... liverpool had gerrard and torres and cole (most of the time) and did dick all with it. Sides like spurs show you how it's done - great youth development, clever acquisitions. Liverpool, with the season they've had, have done well to reach the position they have -- technically they still have a good shout for europe. Personally I think newcastle has been the most impressive and, in a sense, over-achieving this year. Andy Carrol has been a phenom - such a shame he didn't do well for his england debut as I think he's a real future star. Also a shame albrighton had such a shite game the other night! Another bright young spark. The only reason I watch MOTD is to see how the future england squad is looking, and I think with the right manager (redknapp :P) there's a lot of hope ahead of us.
