It'll change in a few hours, no biggie.

Been mega-cramming this game. At about 55 hours, and despite having 15+ active missions I feel I'm coming to a head. Is there a certain point in the game where you'd recommend I save it in order to see all available outcomes? Currently I'm fairly certain that;

1) My role is; target one person to investigate, then target another to send the info to. I get no copy of the information, but I presume I carry out the investigation. 2) I do not receive any copy of the info. I get no PM whatsoever from cube, no info or anything whatsoever in any way. One night, though, I was told that my investigation failed.

Somebody switched me and him because they know that I am being pressured. It makes sense that the switcher is mafia. It's just too much of a coincidence. But I don't care. Vote me off. I can concentrate on the other two games better that way.

I'm a psychologist, and I deal with faithless individuals who are stuck in a rut and showing no signs of religion. Going by my character description, I'd say that I've got anti-religion books to help better my services. "Know thy enemy" sort of thing. My role only seems to work when people stay at home when I visit, so I have no other info besides a couple of addresses.

HOLD IIIIT! I targetted Zell to be sent to peeps last night. That write-up suggests I've been switched with Zell. Vote: Zell he also did not vote off Jonnas. Go ahead and vote me off, I frankly don't care anymore. Pay attention to who nintendohnut says he 'doesn't trust' because they're supporting me. Those are town, undoubtedly.

Totally with you on this. A lot of app forms do this sort of thing now, and they apparently grade your response. They have a list of qualities they want you to have and you have to give examples of how you meet their criterion. Typical ones I've come across; - Good interpersonnel skills and effective communicator - A willingness to learn and welcome the challenge of change - Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure - Able to work as part of a team - Able to work on own initiative ... I mean I can't just say "yep." They want specific examples. And in general job adverts are typically full of bullshit. This is a fantastic opportunity for the UK's fastest growing retail outlet. We are offering you a position in our vibrant, evolving, dynamic inner-city branch. You must be ambitious, hard-working, driven, cool and calm under pressure and full of confidence and always a smile on your face. Wage? £MEETSMINIMUMWAGE. it just sickens me.

How about "cult classics" for a title? Alternative Cinema?

Most societies at Sheff Uni are open to anyone of any age, you should check in there to see if they have anything going -- if not you might be able to set one up - either official or not. An official one would require a board of students to be on teh committee (whereby you'd be the 'silent partner' :P), so if you flyer the union building and whatnot to see if anyone's interested, then bish-bash et cetera! Picketing the student line is your best bet for the yoof. I joined jugglesock (as you know), and learned that teapots (Uni's version) is open to anyone, students or not, so I'm pretty much basing my assumption on that. I also checked out a chess club that seemed decent, and there was a go club that I found - but never got into go enough. BTW my pr0 google skills got this; sheffield reading groups, VOX book club (not been updated for a month so you're probably best emailing them) and - oh look! Sheff Uni's book soc facebook page!, you'd do well to message them to see if it's open to aluminati alumni. Personally - about to hit the 50 hour mark with fallout new vegas, found a bar that does £1 pints on monday nights and am busy working on my working life to take up all this fucking free time I have.

Nintendo's 'completely blown' its Wii 2 strategy
jayseven replied to Murr's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I like to think patch' was, in a roundabout way, just stating the obvious; nintendo's next console will have to be a revolution, and I don't think there's any doubt that it will be. Nintendo has been staunch in their approach -- "we're not sheep, we're trend-setters." Increase in sales for ps3 and 360 consoles (in some regions, thanks Mr. Graph!) has to reflect their mimic-nintendo strategems as much as any non-tendo games' influence. It's been said. Nintendo's R+D is the Area 51 of the gaming world. I have no doubt that their next console will be a clever amalgam of new/old tech in the form of a squat little beast that we never knew we needed in gaming, but will steer the gaming industry once again. If nintendo are anything, it's innovative. Does nintendo need to get going and be first out of the gate with the next generation? Harder to say. The other consoles look like they've got years left and considering they've both just released their motion tech, they're not likely to want to jump ahead too soon. I think it's fairly common-sensical for nintendo to be the first to announce a new home console. Doesn't mean it's needed now, of course! -
Well said, bluestar. I was wondering last night, what would it take for gerrard to leave liverpool? Gross amounts of money, or would it have to be seeing liverpool in the conference (for example)? Loyalty only stretches so far for most people.

Yeah, learned at the pub today that the correct title is indeed spun. Not saying it's on the same level as requiem or trainspotting, just that it's the first film in a while I've watched that dealt with drugs that wasn't weed. Pineapple express filled the hole but doesn't equate to what I'm saying. I've heard that basketball diaries is where I should head next, but cheers for your post O_W, I think I'll check most of them out

Being so poor, going out for a couple of pints is a Big Deal. I decided to throw away the last of my money and follow them to the next fine drinking establishment... Which ended up being a £1-a-drink monday night deal. My two drinks in the previous place cost me £6, so for the price of a pint there I instead invested in three pints at this new, glorious place. Would Recommend.

Chelsea are just collecting players. Mental. Wonder if he'll start on sunday! I predict he comes on as sub to a chorus of boos. I agree with dan-likes-trees; Carroll is on good form, and I think he'll be a great future england player (though his debut was shite). How will newcastle do without him?

Yup! Positive stuff Wasn't too lengthy! The evian thing was good - wasn't expecting the luton, but was expecting the somalia one. Nice shiny c-r stuff, sound quality was good AND YOU WERE IN A DIFFERENT LOCATION! Well done. Hell, even the hitler one was decent.

Ryuk; if you have any general questions about the mafia games then post them in here. If you have any specific questions about specific games, be it your role, the rules or the write-ups, you must PM the GM (gamesmaster) of that particular mafia game. Posting things such as your role/ability in a public space such as this thread derails teh purpose of the game -- nobody is supposed to know anyone else's roles. Go to the GM of the person who gave you that role, and harikiri.

So you got your stoner movies which usually benefit from teh viewer being high while watching, then you have your drug-addict, this-ain't-cannabis movies like Requiem for a Dream and Trainspotting that looks at the user culture rather than mere hijinkery. Last night I watched Spun Limited, and I thought it trod the line a little. The dead-end lifestyles of a half-dozen characters dressed up in a dark-humoured clown suit. Anyone else seen it? Can anyone recommend any movies like the three I've mentioned here?

Moogle's right -- job mobility is utter win. I never took any lessons (because of my eyes) but I keep seeing jobs that are just too far away for public transport. Being your own driver saves a lot of time travelling, too. My cousin passed first time. He totalled 5 cars in his first two years, one of which flipped into a river.

No... I just 'happened' to be caught in that awkward 'stance'

It's just a fucking hoodie.

It's more economical to have the gourmet burger (onion rings, cheese, bacon) than it is to have regular with those added. When I'm feeling rich I go for that doubled up, which is far too much food.
-
Paj; ... have you never been to a wetherspoons before?! It's jus ta bit mindboggling that your daily win was made of... wetherspoons. beer and a burger is, like, sooo 2008.

Diageo; fine, fuck you again. Go ahead and lynch me then you can question your "I know rez is ok" theory. Look at the basics. A mafioso was voted off yesterday, who did not vote for them? The list is three strong; me, zell, heroicjanitor. People are pledging allegiance to heroijan (perhaps keep a note of who), only you are saying ReZ is good, and me... well, I'm willing to be sacrificed if the other two are investigated/lynched in my place. I know I'm a townie and I know that I've confused others (and myself in the process) accidentally. Just keep your mind open. The other possibility is that the mafia knew of jonnas's lynchbomb thing and figured they'd pile on the pressure. But surely y'all have the brains to deal with that when the time comes.
