It's all good, courgette with tomato sounds like a nice combination in the first pasta dish there was bacon, leek and cheese while the pasta itself was cooked in a tomato and herb sauce.

Damn right, it's called 'Crumble' for a reason, so lots of it is a must. Nice pasta dish there Katie. : peace:

Which "classic" games leave you cold?

Lolz, well if that's true then there is always the option to turn the time limit off but we all know that isn't the real way to play it. -

Seriously though... what's wrong with Chrono Trigger? it's awesome Imo, fair enough if you don't like it though, personally I loved it. -
Hehe *proudly raises one sadistic hand*

Hmm even so I wonder if in the unlikely event that it does get released by Take Two, will it be any good? the original games - 2D ones plus the first 3D one - were awesome, but after that the quality dwindled somewhat. I think the problem is that they put so much work into it but by the time they were 'due' to release it many other developers had allready surpassed it with a shooter of their own so I think it must have got rewritten several times, adding in loads of stuff from current shooter trends at the time, if this is true then surely the end result will be a mess? Anyway perhaps we will never know, but I mourn the 3D realms of old for the times when they did actually make decent titles.

Fuck... truly the end of an era and a sad day indeed. Wasn't there any way that this could have been avoided? I mean they must have made at least a bit from the Duke Nukem XBLA port... probably not enough to keep them afloat though but they could have released some of their other titles on Live as well such as Wolfenstien 3D - the original one - Rise of the Triad, Blake Stone etc... maybe even that would not have been enough though *sigh* oh well. :/

Metroid... Some people 'get' it and some people just don't, that's all there is to be said about it really; personally I love it and will forgive its flaws. Mario... In the second dimension the series was brilliant for its time and is definitely still playable - and enjoyable - today, in the third dimension mixed success has been had. Super Mario 64 brought the series into 3D losing that 'something' which the two dimensional games had but in turn it brought everything to life in a brilliant new way, not to mention it's a staggering technical achievement. Super Mario Sunshine was a sideways step and a couple of hops backward thanks to the gimmick which was F.L.U.D.D... it was fun to mess around with yes, interesting that Miyamoto had tried something new but overall it just cheapened the game no matter how much fun it was at the time, it's now the black sheep of the series. Super Mario Galaxy can easilly be considered as a return to form after Sunshine, even so though it's not perfect what with the main hub being pretty weak - even if it is imaginative - plus the ommision of a couple of moves but damn... it is just so much fun to play, if it had been any more fun then they should have made it illegal :P and for that alone it's brilliant. Resident Evil I am only going to touch briefly on because in all honesty I have only completed Resident Evil 4 and 5... :/ all the rest though I believe I have played but then *sigh* a few hours in the motivation to play them is just gone... now I don't think they are rubbish, far from it, I just think that 4 must have kept me interested for a good reason and though like 5 it is lacking in the puzzle department I feel that from now on they should take what they did with 4 and blend it with the older Resi's somehow, then they will be able to make a really decent game out of the two that will hopefully please most people. -
Do console designs matter to you? (Is the N64 black, grey or charcoal?)
S.C.G replied to tapedeck's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Either way, the N64 is either Charcoal Grey / Dark Grey so it has no relevance to that but.... Are you trying to say that the Gamecube is Brown?!? -
Obstacle 1 is quality, I'm currently listening to Turn on the Bright Lights again, tbh on reflection they have got better with their last album but theres just something about certain tracks from their previous albums which I really like.

Well they need to do what they can regarding software sales being as they still aren't making any profit on each console sold, still losing money in fact I think? *shrugs* either way you can't really blame them for making the most of their ties in the film industry.

It's time to Kill Bill.

S.C.G replied to tapedeck's topic in Nintendo Gaming
In that case, if the GC isn't black on account of this then this means that the N64 id definitely NOT BLACK by default as it is undeniably lighter in tone than the GC. So it is Charcoal Grey or Dark Grey... [/thread] -
Hmm nice review, definite purchase from me.

You get a Black Gamecube, attached to a chain to put around your neck, there's your medal. Gamecube = Blaaaaaaaaaack! N64 = Charrrrrrcoaaaaaal Grrrrrrrrrrey! You 'know' it makes sense... -
It's not really nostalgia as I played them all out of order, first was PMTTYD then SPM followed by PM and most recently SMRPG; for it to be nostalgia for me I would have needed to have played it back in the day. Anyway it's just purely subjective opinion, Super Mario RPG is in a different league to the Paper series - which are basically spiritual sequels but not quite the same - as for Mario and Luigi, again these are not quite in the same league as even the Paper series - they are kind of a cross between SMRPG and Paper - but they are still invariably entertaining and have some very enjoyable bits in them, granted though SS > PIT. : peace:
-
Definitely, indeed if we are throwing Super Mario RPG into the equation then the order goes like this... SMRPG > PMTTYD > PM > SPM The original is most definitely in this case the best. : peace:

Rate The Last TV Show You Saw (Spoiler Tags for Recent US Shows!)
S.C.G replied to Slaggis's topic in General Chit Chat
Shameless : Series 6 finale I've watched the show since it began, Idk there's just something about the depravity of it all that I find interesting / amusing but it has its share of more heartfelt moments too, this episode for instance had plenty and a pretty sad ending. 9/10 Hopefully it'll return for a seventh series as there is still a good deal of material they could cover I guess but as much as I enjoy watching it I also hope they have the sense to know when to stop, the show is still good but maybe not quite as good as the first few series Idk, I may be nitpicking... anyway overall series 6 was pretty enjoyable.- 3920 replies

I had a sealed copy of it hanging around for months, which I never got around to playing... and subsequently traded in >> but I can say that it was probably one of the best games that I almost played.
