Another Code: R, Gateway of Memory ** MARK SPOILERS!**
S.C.G replied to Tellyn's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Nice review S/S I agree with it mostly but not with the lack of voice acting, I think if they had tried to add it, the results would have been either passable or really bad so I'm glad they left it out tbh, too many games are voiced badly these days and rely little on reading skills at all but the AC games buck that trend and so for that I think the game should be praised, not chastised Imo. Other than that, it's a pretty thorough and solid review. -
That GT review succccccccccccked so badly! unreliable controls? tbf they were probably tapping too hard... and who gives a shit if the USA didn't get tap boxes, boo hoo... they get plenty of stuff that never appears in the UK plus the boxes that come with it aren't that great and you will be making your own custom box in no-time. The game is still really cheap, it's just that $30 sounds like it's a lot more than £15 but it isn't, America just expect too much... If you want to see a fair and original review of the game N-E will have one up on site very soon all going well.

I used MGS4 collectors ed box but I since had a better idea... the Wii-Play box! think about it... eeeeeets perfect!
-
I have other unfinished games as well but meh, when you lose interest in certain games it's hard to get back into them, Tales of Symphonia I played and loved from start to finish, same with Another Code on the DS so I will play and finish both TOV and AC:R.

My copy is packing atm, hopefully due to be sent today, between this and Tales of Vesperia, it's gonna be a busy week for me gaming-wise. ^^ -
Well done Raining!
-
Well I don't remember exactly how many things but I do remember at least one from last time I used the machine, custom soundtracks in games... it's still not possible on all PS3 games is it? only a few... just things like that really.

Is anyone else getting this? if so, it is IN STOCK on Play.com, I pre-ordered so my copy is packing and hopefully due to be sent sometime today!
-
Seconded, I still find it amazing how behind the PS3 is with stuff like this in comparison to the 360, there are still a load of basic things that you can do on the 360 on-the-fly that the PS3 requires you to quit out of a game to perform the action... why? ;_;

Honestly I tend to switch off after the main headline says "X" killed in attack or w/e... sometimes I'll watch but most of the time it's just depressing and so I don't bother, as much as I disagree with the violence, ignorance is bliss sometimes, there is so much misery in the news so often that it gets to the point where it can be sickening to watch. And yeah, just to reiterate, it's the people who fired on the innocent protestors that need to chill, not the protestors themselves obviously, the protestors weren't hurting anyone and therefore should not have been fired upon, it's disgraceful that they were attacked in such a manner.
-
So clearly the people who shot the peaceful protestors need to chill then? that's what I mean, what's the harm in peaceful protesting? none... so the people who were shooting the protestors were being needlessly violent.
-
And why do they lack basic human rights? because of the people who rule over the place? if that's the case, then they need to chill... I know it's not as simple as I'm making it out to be, it's just sad that all this violence is so unecessary and could be avoided if they would just work things out peacefully, but like fuck is that gonna happen. :/
-
Tbf there isn't a lot we can do... so just let them carry on killing each other I guess :/ it is sad though, all this needless violence etc, and for what? nothing... why can't they just, y'know... chiiiilllll and get on with their lives peacefully instead of destroying other peoples.
-
Is gaming my dirty little secret? hell no... anyone with the decency to ask what I'm interested in will know that I play games regularly does it ever crop up in conversation at work though? not often, and even when it does, it's usually only when some "big" game like GTA comes out, at which time of course everyone at work comes out of the gaming closet because GTA is deemed 'socially acceptable' even if it is overhyped. So yeah, gaming isn't something I'd ever keep a secret but at work it might as well be.
-
Even if it is 'funny' if you choose to watch it all the way though, surely it isn't so funny that it induces incontinence...
-
I got 15 seconds into it and couldn't be bothered to watch any more. :/

Loving the look of that Korma and those burgers Pooki do want! Omnomnom! ----------------------------------------------- This may not seem like much - and it isn't - but after getting home a few minutes ago after not having anything to eat for seven hours it seemed like the best thing ever... Peppered Peperoni Pizza - with salad - ftw.
-
This... pretty much sums up part of how I feel as well, I think jobs are good as they keep us a bit 'grounded' in a way, i.e work-time is a time for responsibility 'n shizzle but when at home it's time to chilllll! Without a job I'd just be kinda chilling nearly all the time and while that's no bad thing I think maybe if I wasn't working I'd feel less responsible if that makes sense... it's an odd feeling really, maybe I've just been working for too long lolz.
-
Hmm looking back now I pretty much agree with you on Prime 3... I enjoyed all three games immensely though but the original is still the best, will be picking up the new control scheme ones just because I enjoyed playing them so much back in the day but... it is good that the series is now taking a different direction / approach with Team Ninja on-board as well.

Pretty good day today tbf, got part of a couple of reviews done, made a nice sandwich for lunch, the restaurant was pretty quiet today not many people - also quite literally as the sandwich machine broke earlier apparently so one less machine whirring for now - was good though as I got everything done which was cool oh and I saw the girl at work who I 'asked out' about erm a month or two ago now? She'd been off for about a week, came back today and seemed pretty happy to see me, like things have been 'fine' since that night when I asked because there were no hard feelings between us but things were a little bit different which is understandable really, until today that is, we seem to be getting on better now as friends and quite honestly I'm happy. ^^ Listened to some Radiohead on the way to and from work - the Bends seems to get better with each listen - got home recently and had fish and chips for dinner which was win, the only thing which would have made this day even better would be cider, I ran out last night and didn't have time to get moar after work ;_; - will get some tomorrow though - ah well, a little bit of wine tonight instead, not too much though, gotta be up for work tomorrow at 5:10am. :/ Enough of the downsides though today has been good and eets not over yet.

heh thanks, it was pretty nice, I think you're onto something with this sweet & savoury thing, maybe I'll start trying stuff like chilli sauce on top of ice cream.

A new challenger appears! At first glance it might look like some kinda frothy coffee with chocolate on the top but I can assure you it's not... Ice, pineapple, ice-cream, pepper >.>, lemonade... backup! wassat one before lemonade? why eets pepper of course XD that's right, I went there... and you know what, it was actually gooooood! bit strange at first but then the cold drink and the hotness of the pepper kind of counter each other and it just tastes like a spicy pineapple drink, I know no one will believe me (apart from Rez maybe) but it really was nice! ^^' Oh also double-decker sammiches are Win! I promise I will do some more actual cooking soon... ish... :P
