I had no idea that they had a new album coming out, I suppose it has been a few years since Quicken the Heart... I've loved Maximon Park for a good while now, have all their previous albums so this will be a definite purchase for me too.

It's Soul Calibur... the further you get in Arcade Mode the cheaper your opponents tactics will become, my advice? Be even cheaper! If you want to beat it that badly then just stick with a character you're familiar with that preferably has some long-range moves - I use Xiba - and just work away at your enemy knocking them back from afar and then going in for a grab as they attempt to get back up, then just rinse/repeat until you win. Hope this helps and good luck! : peace:

Objection! 'Phoenix Wright doesn't wear glasses or rock a beard!' Sorry couldn't resist, still jokes aside... looking pretty smooth there Dannyboy. : peace:

The recent ShopTo promotion may have been a little distasteful depending on your outlook but you can't really blame them for trying, they are pretty much a better place to buy all your games from if you're really serious about gaming. But each to their own of course as I know some will prefer browsing in an actual shop plus for people who maybe aren't all that clued-up on games i.e parents buying for their kids etc I'm sure the staff are helpful in those instances - I'm sure @Dyson gives good customer service for example - but still how often have we heard stories on these very forums about certain staff members who would make up complete BS just to get a sale... that's the side of Game I don't like. I do feel bad for those honest workers though who have lost/could lose their jobs but I certainly won't mourn Game as a company as any 'good' memories I might have had about buying hardware on launch day from them have long since been tarnished by what they've become.

Is that even possible? I find myself switching my 3DS on every day at some point even if it's just to check for messages.

That's awesome! I actually applied the updates but hadn't even chekced the icons, absolutely loving the 3D NES/Monitor the best bit about this? You can blow in the mic - just like with the other icons - and when it rotates you can even see the connections on the back a very nice touch indeed and I hope they do this for more VC titles. On the subject of the VC I'm sorry that I've fallen behind with the updates for VC Weekly recently, I've been rather busy these past few weeks but I shall be catching up today. : peace:

LOL ... OH SHI...

'The PC version is due out first, in "early summer". The smartphone version launches next, in winter 2012. The PS Vita version is due out in Japan in spring 2013. As previously revealed, the PC and Vita versions will be played on the same server, and you'll be able to play the same character on both versions. ' So basically, this time next year we'll be able to play it on the PSV... awesome that means I can moreorless forget about the game - bar checking news updates - until nearer the time. I like the fact that it'll be 'free to play' as in no sub but I just hope that the 'item transaction system' won't be too... 'exclusive' if you know what I mean, as in you could quite happilly play the game without buying anything extra but they will make certain awesome weapons only available via transaction while still keeping a decent amount of content free to encourage people to keep playing. Afterall Sega have taken more than enough of my money from all versions of PSO and both versions of PSU.

Interesting... seems it was a glitch or a conflict as I disabled Avira momentarily, tried my e-mail and it works again, must have been something to do with the built-in e-mail protection, turned it all on again and it's still working, I probably should have tried disabling it first before posting this thread. Ah well never mind, at least it's sorted now... it's always the simple things.

Make sure you have the option turned on in the options, I have a feeling it may be turned off by default, once you've done that just close your 3DS for a bit or wait until you're gonna turn the machine off, next time you turn it on you should have a gem... make a gem to pass on to others as well, use a weapon you have a double of as that should mean you'll get one if not drectly from Nintendo then in a spotpass from someone.

I'll consider that Cube but only if I absolutely have to, it's so annoying that this is only happening on my PC... I can access it from any other PC, just wish I knew what was causing this, surely it can't be a temporary server issue if it's only my PC? or maybe it can... I just figured that if it's a server issue then the problem would be more widespread. [/unsure]

So I logged into Hotmail today as usual and I can't check my e-mails or do anything at all really, I can log in no problem but it won't let me click on any of the main links including my inbox... I can get to my inbox by going to my profile and then access my inbox from there but then I can't access any e-mails or delete them, it's odd to say the least and I'm hoping there's an easy fix. I last used it yesterday without having any problems, I sent an e-mail and it was working fine this has only happened today, relevant details listed below... Operating System - Windows XP Browser - Firefox Antivirus - Avira Yes I have tried grudgingly using internet explorer and the same thing happens, I have also tried logging in on another computer which actually works so that would suggest it's a problem with something on my machine, I've cleared the history, cookies etc and I've even treid performing a system restore point... all fruitless. If anyone has any - sensible and helpful - suggestions then they would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Lol I was considering doing that, I did spend a few thousand points on them, maybe 3500? then I started redeeming all of the codes that came with my Wii gamesand I realised that I could easily have the 2500 required for the rather lovely full deck of Hanafuda cards that I've had my eye on for a while, so I ordered that instead seeing as I'd already secured a 'few' packs of AR cards. I tried this too, it almost worked for me but I've settled on using the stand now as I've become rather comfortable with the stylus control, would still have loved to have been able to have the option of using the Circle Pad Pro though... I can see that the touch-screen probably affords better control than a second circle pad but the larger triggers would have been very useful indeed. No idea... but yes I've been offering up hearts too, I try and keep it to around 1000 a day seeing as it doesn't seem to 'do' anything much apart from make Palatena walk closer to the screen but there will probably be a square on the 'treasure hunt' for donating a certain amount. so I think it'll be worth it. Oh btw, thanks for the game earlier, was fun playing against/with you, RedShell and Mike.

Or even better, get another company to develop a TPS loosely based on the series that throws aside most of the core 'resi' elements in the name of making another four-player co-op experience... ... wait.

So is retreating the same as your character dying? or do you retain everything you've earned in the stage up to that point...

More downloadable goodness from Sega? Always good news Though pretty soon they will have re-released so much stuff on current gen consoles that I'll actually have no need to play the original consoles any more, with the exception of my Sega Multimega 32X of course as I don't see them re-releasing Chaotix any time soon but who knows!

They will most likely be putting more on site... For what it's worth I ordered 4 of the X2 packs so 8 in total, I didn't order 34 packs like H-o-T then again, you can't really blame people for ordering loads as for the most part we rarely get anything decent on the EU stars catalogue so it's inevitable that people will want to spend their hard-earned stars on them. Let's not forget that the points do actually expire after a while so... --------------------------------- Back to the actual game, it's pretty much everything I'd hoped it would be and so much more, a really excellent revival of a true Nintendo classic.

Pit has arrived! Time to take to the skies!

They used to be but lately they are pretty bad unless you've ordered say a special edition game in a big box which will ship differently and so will get to you quicker. Quite honestly if you want it for the release date, cancel your order with Play and re-order with Shopto as they already posted my copy today so I know I'll most likely have it tomorrow but if you ordered tonight it would get processed straight away, shipped early tomorrow morning and would be almost guaranteed to reach you by release... as a general rule they will pledge to get the game to you on release date so long as you pre-order by the Wednesday before 5PM - assuming a game you want releases on a Friday - and if it doesn't reach you in time then they credit your account with £3.00 compensation. I've been ordering with the for a while now and they have never had to compensate me you get money back on every purchase too as part of their rewards scheme. [/shopto praise] -------------------------------- I can't wait to play this tomorrow!

So this arrived today from Shopto... and it's actually quite honestly not terrible! :p It's not amazing, but certainly not a really bad game like it's being made out to be, at the moment I'd say it's above average with some rare shining moments of decency mixed in with an odd but workable control scheme. The A.I is unfortunately dumb as fuck as your team-mates will frequently walk into your path of fire - yes there's friendly fire unfortunately - some of them can restore your health but more often than not won't do it when you need it, only after a firefight has finished... if you're playing it in four player co-op though these issues aren't really anything to worry about. Weapons seem decent even though they're painfully generic in the naming of them, there's stuff to unlock, you level up Gears of War 3 style - they've even ripped off the XP bar style/colour rather well - and the multiplayer modes are... mixed but entertaining. Basically it feels like a game that's very good at borrowing from others out there but it doesn't necessarilly borrow all the right elements from the right places, it definitely only feels like half a resident evil game shoe-horned into a cover-based shooter. You will most likely want to turn the gamma up straight away because it's dark as fuck, not subtly so either, for some reason the default setting is a 'constantly tripping over things as I can't see a damn thing' level of blackness which does nothing for the atmosphere. Oh and the guy who says 'Resident Evilllll!' sounds like he's basically jizzed halfway through announcing the title... make of that what you will but it certainly doesn't give a great first impression. :p But yeah... it's playable for the most-part.

I got Wipeout today, I'd been on the fence about whether to get it or not but after seeing the immense amount of fun you've been having with it and seeing as Shopto dropped the price slightly I finally caved and bought it. Anyway, I've added you so if you see a request from 'Metal-Mutiny' that's me I look forward to hopefully challenging your times on Wipeout, I'm gonna need a bit of practice though I reckon as its been agggges since I last played the PS3 version. : peace:

RUMOUR - Possible Wii U eShop games in development
S.C.G replied to daftada's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I assume it's like most other MMORPG's which have many shortcuts mapped to the 'F' keys, in the case of the Wii U you could just have shortcuts mapped to the touch screen and even a virtual keyboard for communication so I'd imagine it could be done quite easily. Would it happen though? Unlikely. -
Congrats to both of you! I expect we'll be running a news article on this, so let us know if you want a mention. : peace:
