  1. Thanks for the games. First and last matches for Sonic, one match we had two Daisies, Peach and a Fire Emblem character, one match had two Yoshi's... Some close matches as well, and some really good dodges, counters etc, some of them (most of them?) accidental. and more than a few stage dives. Here's a link to this week's stream... - - - - - N-Europe Saturday Smash! (04/02/2023)
  2. It counts! Thanks Cube. I'll be playing as Sonic then, in fact, we should probably have an all-sonic match, on a Sonic stage, with Sonic music to make up for this oversight. Oh well, we Live and Learn. (yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah...)
  3. Thanks for the games. I missed the first race, but all the other races and highlights are there, some very close races too. Here's a link to this week's stream... - - - - - N-Europe Get Together! (02/02/2023)
  4. Nintendo eShop new releases (week 04) The fourth week of releases. A selection of new titles are now available on the Nintendo Switch eShop. Check the article for the full roundup.
  5. Thanks for the games. Not so many same character match-up's this week, though there were a couple of doubles, one (almost) triple, and quadruple Mario at the end, Some close matches tonight as well... and some not so close ones. 6. Thanks for the games. Yeah... it had definitelty been a while since I last played Goldeneye 007, and the same might have been true for many of us. It was good to finally play it at a decent framerate though, and it was good to see that the 'Slappers Only' and 'Throwing Knives' as well as the other weapon selections, all went down as well as they could have, if not better, providing plenty of great moments. If only someone had captured it all, streamed it and highlighted it, so that it could be enjoyed by all... Here's a link to this week's stream... Goldeneye 007 on the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack - N-Europe Deathmatch! (27/01/2023)
  7. OK, I'll join if there's space, I just need a few minutes to set up the N64 controller (which arrived today) and to test out Goldeneye very briefly.
  8. Hmm? I did just buy the expansion pack... but I assumed that you already had four players for Mario Party? (Yourself, Glen, Hazel and Simon) If there's a space free, then I'd be interested, depending on when it is... though I'm waiting on either the N64 Switch pad, or the Raphnet N64 - GC adapter that I just ordered to arrive before I get properly into playing N64 games on it. If there is a suitable workaround for using the GC controller though, I could just use that if you're playing soon. (I seem to recall there was some remapping to be done for Mario Party?) Anyway, the N64 games do seem good, I did have a quick go on F-Zero X in portable mode and it's easily the best emulated version I've played on a Nintendo console.
  9. Thanks for the games. Some close races, well-placed projectiles, and a fair few lightning strikes. (four in one race) Oh... and I used a horn on the train in Kalimari Desert... it was worth it. Here's a link to this week's stream... - - - - - N-Europe Get Together! (26/01/2023)
  10. GoldenEye 007 Arrives This Friday on Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack Now up on the main page. Thanks to @Josh64 for putting up lots of news articles recently. It has been quiet, but we've been keeping the main page updated. It's looking like things are about to get busier now though, with the release of Goldeneye 007! OK... alright, now I'll buy into the NSO Expansion Pak. (and yes... I bought an NSO N64 controller... now watch as they get restocked) Interestingly, there may be other ways to play using a real N64 controller and a Raphnet adapter, though I haven't checked this yet. Anyway, looking forward to playing some Goldeneye 007 online.
  11. It's good to see replacement Joy-Con sticks with hall effect sensors being offered. So long as you're fine with replacing them, and the price seems to be around £30 or so for the pair, this seems like a good solution. I decided to pre-order one of these controllers for the Switch, which offers hall effect joysticks, a proper d-pad and a few other improvements... https://nyxigaming.com/products/nyxi-wizard-wirleless-joy-pad-for-switch-switch-oled It has the same layout as a GC pad, functions like a pro controller, seems to work wirelessly and wired with the charging cable, and has a few extra buttons. I've no idea how it will be to use, and it won't be shipped for a while but it looks decent enough. The site isn't that great for ordering from, though you can get a 10% off discount code, which makes the controller/oversized GC joy-cons around £50. It likely won't replace an official GC controller for Smash, but it could make playing that game and others in portable mode for longer than half an hour a possibility.
  12. Thanks for the games. We had some good random character matches this week, two doubles with the same two characters (like a team match... except not) and two quadruple character matches. That'll probably never happen again... until it does. (1:27:40 - 1:42:25) for the four match-up matches. Here's a link to this week's stream... - - - - - N-Europe Saturday Smash! (21/01/2023)
  13. Fire Emblem Engage Launch Trailer Now up on the main page. Overview and launch trailer.
  14. Nintendo eShop new releases (week 03) The Third week of releases. A selection of new titles are now available on the Nintendo Switch eShop. Check the article for the full roundup.
  15. Thanks for the games. On Waluigi PInball (32:00 minute mark) there were two lightning strikes, and I'm almost certain they hit in exactly the same spot, on different laps, resulting in the same outcome... spin-out right before an item box, with the item being obtained. Makes a change from just after obtaining the item. Also, I didn't know you could trick off the fallen Thwomps on Berlin Byways... (48:22) I do now though. Oh... and (10:10) on Kalimari Desert for head-on Starman vs Train, always fun. Here's a link to this week's stream... - - - - - N-Europe Get Together! (19/01/2023)
  16. Nintendo eShop new releases (week 02) The Second week of releases. A selection of new titles are now available on the Nintendo Switch eShop. Check the article for the full roundup.
  17. Thanks for the games. Some great matches, a bit of lag with the (nearly) "A New Challenger Approaches!" and more than a few "Final Smash... almost" moments. (Timestamp 1:22:00 - 1:26:00 for the "lag/no contest" in case you want to watch the stream and want to skip straight to the matches again) Here's a link to this week's stream... - - - - - N-Europe Saturday Smash! 20. N-Europe Turns Twenty-Five Now up on the main page. Thanks to anyone who has worked at N-Europe, visited the site, and/or the forums. Happy 25th Birthday N-Europe.
  21. Thanks for the games. A great start to the year for N-E Saturday Smash, some decent matches, and even a few 'three of the same character' match-ups. See you all next week, unless everyone is playing Vampire Survivors, of course. Here's a link to this week's stream... - - - - - N-Europe Saturday Smash! (07/01/2023)
  22. Thanks for the games. Pretty good for thr first night of this year. I thought there might be some technical hiccups with the stream as I switched streaming software, but it seems to be fine. (On Berlin Byways, I did change a setting as it looked like the stream might be stuttering, but it turned out fine) Here's a link to this week's stream... - - - - - N-Europe Get Together! 23. Thanks for the games. Cheers to Glen for setting these nights up, and to Dean, Hazel, Simon and Chris for joining. (plus anyone else who has joined any games this year) Same time next year hopefully, have a good one. Here's a link to this week's stream... - - - - - N-Europe Saturday Smash! (31/12/2022)
  24. Thanks for the games. Good to get a few races in, some close ones there, even though it was just three of us. I missed the first race, as I changed some capture settings in OBS and only just got everything set up in time, but I still caught some of it in spectator mode. Here's a link to this week's stream... - - - - - N-Europe Get Together! (29/12/2022)
  25. Thanks for letting us know @Glen-i hopefully you can make next week. I should still be around if anyone else wants to play Mario Kart. Though, depending on if @BowserBasher is going to be online or not, it could be a very quiet week.
