  1. Bet Jenson Button would kill somebody for it though
  2. Awesome race! Incredible how Vettel managed to outpace Kovalainen even on a half dry track. Lots of action in other places, too. Monza is just a fantastic track. Shame Alonso seems only capable of collecting fourth places. I guess he will stay at Renault now they are matching Toyota at fourth place in the Constructor's though. Williams and Renault should make some strong comebacks next year.
  3. One friend code per Mii would be a better idea to be honest, it allows multiple friend codes per console. This per game thing really sucks.
  4. What Ramar said. But then, as the universe isn't fully understood, the microscopical chance for "DOOMSDAY" is there every second. The only thing they can't promise is that something unpredictable might happen (hence its unpredictability) as they are pushing the limits of physics. But that doesn't mean that this unpredicted event will destroy the Earth - it might as well be that they discover a particle very different from the Higgs boson they're searching for. These particles naturally collide in space as well, at much larger speeds too. The difference now is that we're watching one. The chance of catastrophe happening is as big as always, namely extremely small.
  5. If you don't understand the physics you're really not in a position to talk. Your theory doesn't really hold, but I can't be bothered to explain it. If the CERN uses it as an argument, they're right. It's not like they would take any sort of risk. Even if Hawking radiation turns out to be false (and thereby disproving much of what is otherwise established quantum mechanics), it wouldn't matter. These mini black holes just aren't even destructive. People just get scared because of the name black hole, but forget that the death black holes have masses of severals stars, whereas these black holes have the mass of several sub atomic particles at best (maybe slightly more as they'll go close to light speed), and cannot possibly attract matter. If nobody at CERN would've said "We might create a mini black hole" so that people might understand better, but just said "We might create a quantum singularity", no Sun would've taken it out of context and we'd all be perfectly happy with it.
  6. Even so, why is that a problem? Movement >> button.
  7. Marshmellow, how did you make your taskbar extend over both your laptop screen and monitor? I searched through muchos menus, but I can't seem to find where to do it. I'm either a noob or totally blind. Probably both though
  8. Hence Arsenal's incredible trophy collection over the last few years! Pissing off you English football fans is just too easy :P Seriously, it always annoys me how religious people have the arrogance they can use their personal beliefs to judge others, people who are totally irrelevant to their religion. Especially when the ideas are as medieval as they are here. Just let people be, FFS.
  9. He's a republican, what you're going to expect? Again, he's a republican. I know the Republicans suck, but McCain will definitely be an improvement over Bush. That is, as long as he doesn't die and let his puppet take over. My, that would be horrible. But yeah, I'm all for Obama.
  10. Kind of. CPUs aren't going to be mega expensive, but you'll have to chuck out $250 for a mainboard as there'll only be a high end chipset until Q2 next year. If you want to be able to play games for a while, you'd best buy an Intel chipset (P45 or something) with a Radeon HD 4850. It's much faster than a GeForce 9600GT, and if it starts failing at games in the future, you can add in another Radeon card in CrossFire.
  11. This is why I love Spa. Shame Hamilton didn't crash though. For the Championship's sake. Edit: WAIT. That's pretty tough, great for the Championship though. Such a shame Alonso didn't get himself a well deserved podium finish.
  12. Cut McCain some slack here. It's not like he's Bush's puppet - if you read into this stuff well you can see that McCain isn't nearly as conservative as Bush is, and quite qualified for president. Either of the two will be a great improvement. Having said that, I'd much prefer Obama for various reasons. Firstly because any Democrat is better than a Republican.
  13. Great, you've got an AM2 processor. You should definitely get a 780G mATX board (any Asus or Gigabyte should do fine) and a nice case and PSU, and then simply connect it to your TV for a very capable media center. You wouldn't even need your graphics card as the board has one itself (not quite as good for gaming but far better when decoding video).
  14. Isn't the Radeon 4850 only a few pounds more expensive than the 9600GT? The you should definitely go for the Radeon, it's like two times as fast. Radeon cards perform really well in Bioshock. And you can actually run a full 4 GB in Vista 32 with a trick, but you might as well go for Vista 64 anyway, as it actually runs a wee bit faster.
  15. The best is any one with the AMD 780G chipset, it's got an integrated GPU that makes it a home theater PC out of the box. Really great stuff. If you have an Intel CPU though, I can't say.
  16. I tried it, and it's pretty cool! Hopefully the final version (if there'll ever be a non-beta Google project) will be a competitor of Firefox and Internet Explorer. You can make Firefox as spaceous as Chrome though. I have more space in FF than in Chrome. Nevertheless, I really like the interface.
  17. Not too fond yet of the entire Death Magnetic album yet but there's some great songs on there. BOW DOWN! Sell your soul to me! I will set you free! Terrible lyrics, but this song is really awesome played really loud!
  18. It's sort of the point - you create your own browser because everything is customizable. FF3 is actually really lightweight for a full desktop browser (it uses way less CPU/Memory than IE and Chrome), but you can extend it to your liking, and leave out the stuff you don't need. The only shame is that Firefox' Gecko engine isn't as fast as WebKit, but there will probably be big improvements with FF3.1. Google still supports Mozilla with money and code.
  19. Apparently it kicks the shit out of a Core 2 real bad. It's really such a shame AMD can't do anything about it. AMD's Phenom revision at the end of the year is going to rival Intel Core 2 Penryn performance at best...
  20. There'll only be a high-end X58 chipset for quite a while, which all mainboard manufacturers are going to use. Midrange chipsets are only going to come in Q2 2009 if my info is correct. The i7's use a new socket, so you can't use Core 2 chipsets.
  21. Total bullshit. At best they're going to create a black hole weighing a few grams, it couldn't even suck in Lindsay Lohan if it wanted to.
  22. Doesn't mean they can't advertise it: It was the fastesest selling game in the Metroid Prime series, outselling Bioshock at release, and it's bound to overtake Metroid Prime 1 in the next few months. 1.3+ million sales is really great - and a big improvement over MP2. I saw MP3, RE4 and NMH ads many times myself, and I practically don't watch TV (and even less commercials). Get your facts straight before posting nonsense like that.
  23. On first listen-through I took a liking to the riff, sucks to be me I guess. Anyway, you're right about the overall quality. It really doesn't seem to be anywhere close to their earlier stuff, but hopefully no-one expected that.
