^ Pitbull smilie! Off the top of my head Pitbull seems to love a bit of Donkey Kong... :p

The weapons are the only thing that let it down IMO, in that the majority come in the form of just being bubbles of some kind, and they could have been far more creative with them. As an F1 fan I can think of SO many better choices for weapons... I think the problem is they tried to stick a little too closely to F1. Hopefully for a sequel they'll realise and open up a bit. I mean yes there are no rockets in F1... but in an F1 karting game no one cares! :p They could have had oil slicks, stampeding Ferrari horses, a charging [Red] Bull, rockets could have taken the form of shaken up champaign bottles, helmet bowling balls etc... so much potential.

I haven't played any of them! :p I have Journey downloaded and ready to play, and I've played Okami on the Wii, but yeah! -
'Microsoft should refocus on PC'
Retro_Link replied to Retro_Link's topic in General Gaming Discussion
I'd imagine Sony and Microsoft can control the sales of the PS4 and 720 by virtue of how long they continue supporting the PS3 and 360 with the same games. In my case at least, the PS4 will become attractive as soon as it gets Exclusives/PSN games that I can't get elsewhere. That will probably happen at launch in some capacity, but I'll have enough games on my PS3 to probably last me a year or so into the new console cycle. I've just realised though that I'll have to keep my PS3 and not trade it in towards it in the likely event it's not backwards compatible! :hmm I guess that's one advantage of PlayStation Plus and Digital Downloads, in that if that's where all your games lie, they should hopefully just carry over. -
Anyone know what's going on in the 3rd screen? Looks kind of tank like. Is the player looking backwards and firing, because there's a No.1 on view which you'd think would be at the front. I wonder if in Mario Kart Wii U it would be possible to use the game pad to 'touch and lock-on' to the racer you want to target your weapon at. And switch to a rear view camera to do the same to someone behind you?

'Microsoft should refocus on PC'

Come on the Singstar one is nothing! It's below the game you currently have in the PS3, and everything else I have is in folders below it. Ain't no clicking on that shit! I agree however that you should be able to delete it, that pisses me off. Isn't PS Home in a separate drop down column, or is this a new addition to the games column I haven't seen yet? -
Anyone know what exactly Namco do when it comes to these Arcade Mario Karts?... is it basically them developing the game for Nintendo?... If so then they must be building up quite a bit of Mario Kart knowledge. I wouldn't be surprised if they are involved with Mario Kart Wii U to some extent to get development times down.

That Mission Impossible one is amazing!

Only board that might struggle with that I think is the Online one, but it serves a good purpose and everyone will use it when as and when they want/have time for a game. Also we need Nintendo put actually release some new online games! :p Mario Kart please Nintendo! Maybe need to try and encourage a few Other Console threads in there aswell.
-
Think there are any clues here as to Mario Kart Wii U? I think it's very likely that like Tank Tank Tank! you will able to take a picture of yourself with the Gamepad and put it above your racer. Also yeah, I guess Namco could be helping out on the home console version too, especially as I imagine Nintendo are more keen than ever to get help with their games to get them to market!

Have to say he has made me question why exactly Microsoft are still in the console market. They entered at a time when PC gaming was in a bit of a slump, but that really isn't the case anymore. Is PC gaming currently stronger than ever?... with Steam, Kick Starter, Free-to-Play, High-End Graphics. Well I guess you could say Microsoft are moving away from console gaming... and more into an entertainment hub with the Xbox, but should they focus fully on gaming PC's instead? You'd certainly think they would want to have more of a focus in the area where they made their name, instead of diversifying in this way.

Yeah I'm wondering about this myself.

Won't PSN accounts and your 'what you can/have downloaded list' just carry over to your PS4?

Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed 3DS
Retro_Link replied to MicroLovePony's topic in Nintendo Gaming
It's only a 'Mega Monday' price, so could just be for tomorrow only. -
Hmm maybe the name does need a think. Definitely don't want to put everything Nintendo in Nintendo Gaming because then I think it would start to be a bit cluttered.

Wind Waker stuff would previously have gone in Retro Gaming... General Gaming Discussion still encompasses Retro Gaming, same with Fire Emblem. People just need to get into the habit of looking for things related to games in general like books, artwork, music etc... all fall under General Gaming Discussions, it makes sense... and it's far better than them being spread out across 3 boards... Gen Chit Chat, Retro (never used), Wii Channels/Virtual Console (never used). Nintendo Gaming is intended to just be for games that appear on the Wii U/3DS... it is all there in the Board Subheadings. Do you think a better idea would be to rename the thread to something from Nintendo Gaming?

We have a thread dedicated to Gaming Sales Discussion: http://n-europe.com/forum/showthread.php?t=36344&page=17

Being a Nintendo forum they'll always be a separation from the other console games.

Star Wars Episode 7: The Force Awakens
Retro_Link replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in General Chit Chat
In the new trilogy I suppose he could just have a Force Spirit role. Or maybe they could have found a way to bring people back or... it's Sci-Fi they could find a way... but it would probably piss off the original trilogy fans. -
I was tempted to change it! :p The demo track was Germany, may be a good one to start on if the game lets you.

This really isn't the case though, as with the previous Wii U/3DS boards how often did anyone even have to ever venture on to page 2! I've been out all day and only about 10 threads in this combined board had new posts. The Wii U/3DS activity isn't really all that high as things stand with the consoles. --- Hardly anyone ever used Retro Gaming or Wii Channels, ever, so we needed change. Also sometimes there would be random game related threads in General Chit Chat. Or people wouldn't quite know which board to post a thread in. --- If people don't like Bargains in General Discussion we can look to move it, but we're trialling it there at the moment as it helps activity in that Board. The reason for the changes is largely to increase board activity and allow more opportunities for a more unified community.

Thanks :p (I'm giving this forum a tidy up) I played the demo and really enjoyed it, looking to get the full game at some point (price drop). But whatever you do you can't approach it like every other kart racer or you'll be disappointed/won't get what it's trying to do. You brake into corners and then accelerate out of them using boost pads (no power sliding)... if you pump the accelerator whilst going over these boost pads you'll charge your KERS/boost meter. And there are quite a few examples where you have to think more about your racing line around corners, otherwise you might run off the track/bump into the barrier. Also drive through Pit Stops around the lap to repair weapon damage. Once you get used to it (doesn't take too long to adjust) think it works well, it's something different and most importantly I found it really fun. Also the track I played was designed really well/was brilliant! (sorry if you already knew a lot of that stuff) :p

Had a great day in London with @Goron_3 at a fantastic Formula 1 Photography Exhibition!! Got to spend a good amount of time chatting with the photographer himself about photography and the sport in general, really interesting and a nice guy; he had a lot of time for everyone. Also went to check out the Lotus store. Rained a bit during the day though walking round London; reminded me of the N-E meet 2011. :p
