  1. Yeah, Downing has got to pull his socks up, but I really think Martin is one of the best managers around to at least give him a chance to see what he's made of. I remember thinking how Milner was going to be a big success in the future, but I really doubted him at Newcastle. I saw him and just thought to myself, "he won't be playing in the Premier League in 5 years time." But, it's amazing what having a good club and a good manager can do to/for you.
  2. Well done, Knight of Dysonia. I knew you could do eet. Naw, enjoy your freedom. Also, maybe you could share the staff discount love for your forum sexies, yes, yes? No? Screw you!
  3. You have no sig...you're a crazy and dangerous Odwin. Yes. You're a crazy.

  7. There is something about Stuart Downing that I just do not like. As a player, I don't think much of him. But, maybe the manager will bring out something in him that we rarely see. James Milner is one player who I thought was a bit under-developed at his previous club. But, O'neill has helped him out and he's showing a bit more class now. Villan, what do you think?
  8. Hmm, I don't really know which social group I was a part on in Primary School. Everyone just spoke to...mostly everyone. We didn't really have groups then. In High School, particularly Sixth Form, I guess I was part of the group that would play computer games, meet up for a music jamming session, and talk about Monty Python! We were quite geeky, but it's cool, I like that. From what I remember, the year below me in 6th form was a lot more focused around "groups" than what we were. We had us cool geeeeeeky people, and then you had the other lot who were used to be part of the "hard" or "it" crew when they were younger but had grown up somewhat. They were pretty tame, I think. From what I remember anyway. I also think a lot of people outside of my group ended up going to college anyway, which was next door. It's funny, even at University, there are still social groups. Although, I found that I didn't truly belong to one specific group there. My housemates were quite normal people and we would go out for roast dinners, or talk about deeeep topics in the early morning hours, or play games like Articulate. My close friends outside of the house were into music like Rage Against The Machine or The Smiths, and we'd go to rock clubs and do other cool things. Whereas at uni, in lectures and stuff, I'd just speak to everyone. So, I'm one of these "minglers" that just likes people. Although, I love being able to be myself with anyone. The hardest people that I've ever had to talk to are people who are restrictive or don't allow you to be yourself, or look down on you. I tend not to bother with these ones.
  9. Today has been a better day than yesterday. I woke up, and found my university results on the kitchen table. Passed with a 2.2, which could have been better, but I think it's a fair result. A good friend of mine passed with a 2.2 as well, despite having her dissertation marked at 75% and scoring 80 in another module. How she didn't end up with a higher classification than me, I'll never know. The good thing about this degree is that your experience in the classroom teaching counts for more. At least, I think so anyway. Got an email today from an agency which I sent an application off to yesterday. I need to fill out a few forms, and then will go to see them for an interview, after which they can hopefully find me some teaching work, either permanent or supply. I also got a phone call from another agency, which I sent an email off to last week. Same situation, interview next week, and then they'll hopefully be able to find me some work. Had a cool-ish workout at the gym, and been watching loads of Mock The Week and QI. Good humour. Bluey: That conversation is brilliant.
  10. Would this be 40 year old virgin? You like coldplay! To her credit, she is pretty amazing. Live with eeet. Live with eet naaaw! I have been watching many films recently. But, the majority of them have...fallen out of my head. The only one I can remember is The Resurrection of Alien. Definitely the weakest in the Alien Saga, at least for me anyway. There's just something wrong with the aliens in this. The way that they look and move, it doesn't bode well for me. Although, the underwater scene is an amazing scene. It was pretty tense, and it was well shot. We needed more moments like that. It was built up well, whereas the rest of the film seemed a bit too rushed for my liking. As a result, a lot of the tension was lost, and there were too many meaningless deaths that were just done for the sake of it. I'd probably give it a 6/10. Maybe a 5, I don't know.
  11. Captaaaain Daaaan! Ice creeeeeam! Funny story: When I first met Ine, we were making jokes about Forrest Gump. In one part of Forrest Gump, Forrest is trying to cheer up Lieutenant Dan with an ice cream. "Lieutenant Dan...LIEUTENANT DAAAAN IIIICE CREEEEEAM!" Except, Ine got it horribly, horribly wrong and the Lieutenant became Captain. "CAPTAIN DAAAAN!" she proclaimed, with a wide grin. I was in hysterics, and she has not lived it down since.
  12. Haha, I like that. Are you going to do the "tummy monster" soon?
  13. I agree with this so much. You do get some who rebel or go against the grain. But, when you live in an area where your own family are violent, and everyone around you shows little respect for each other, it's no wonder that so many kids feel agree with life.
  14. Sorry dude, how you're ok. I'm feeling pretty crap. Been arguing with my parents for the last five hours or something. I wish they weren't Asian, stupid and ignorant.
  15. Covering letters are awesome. Its worth spending a fair bit of time on creating one, as it can you show off in a professional and personal light. Chris's example is pretty suave. I'm kinda glad that he posted that, because it's good confirmation for me to know that my cover letters haven't been "over the top." Just sent off an application and covering letter to a Teaching Agency based in Cardiff, so hopefully that will be useful. I've spent days working my application. Glad it's gone now.
  16. It must be late or something, but I laughed at that. I've only just stopped, haha. I could imagine sales going through the roof. Along with that, Nintendo caught up in some Child-Trafficking Ring.
  17. I HERD U LIEK NACHOS!!

  18. I wasn't aware that oxygen had an owner. Maybe we should all pay some form of oxygen tax.
  19. I think maybe he meant that America shouldn't be there in the first place. So, if America weren't there, then Britain would also not have been involved. It's on the same lines as Nintendohnut's post, the second part of it. Not agreeing or disagreeing with him, but I think that's what he meant...I think. I say "I think" a lot.
  20. Yeah, that's true about the fast and healthy bit. I had a close friend who used to cook for me sometimes, and she used to make me these little pitta breads with mackerel, lettuce, cucumber and tomato inside. Not sure how healthy that is, but it was bluddy delicious. Cooking can be great fun, and it's really nice to do with other people if you get the chance. Making my first Lasagna with Ine was a really special experience.
  21. It's not surprising you mentioned the word fast, because a lot of people (including me, at some points anyway) just eat food that is "easy" or readily available. There are chip shops scattered all over the place, McDonalds on every corner, and you can always buy bags of chips or oven chips for low prices. Given that life can be busy, stressful and relentless, it's no surprise that people opt for this "fast" food. Like I mentioned to EssSeeGee a few pages back, you need to instill variety into your life. What I found that worked for me was getting a regular combination of meat, fish, fruit and vegetables. The brilliant thing about fruit and veg is that they come in all shapes and sizes, and they're delicious, juicy, sweet, and can be filling. I purposefully try to eat more apples, bananas and oranges. Today, I've...eaten about 3 apples and 2 bananas...they're just too tasty. So, try to add some variety. Food can be a wonderful and exciting thing if you see it in the right light. If you look at food in the sense of "well, its something I do to ensure I dont collapse and can go for another couple of hours", you won't be doing your body much good then. Be positive. Welcome all kinds of food into your life.
  22. Haha, that does pretty much fit the description. It started out with me thinking "oh, its a tribute to classic games." But then, Luigi humping the Croft's leg? It got a bit creepy towards the end. I enjoyed the Pong and Pacman bit in the beginning though, it was simple but I quite liked it. With the musics.
  23. Yeeees! "Have you ever heard of Evel Knievel?" "No, I never saw Star Wars." Aaaaaahhha. If relationships came in threes, you would be the other woman, WolfyMcWolferson.
  24. Haha, the pale-ness and trips to Algarve thing made me laugh, but then I guess there are many people here (in Britain) who do go on holidays for the sunshine. It does annoy me quite a lot when people do go over to different countries and stay in these British Resorts, rather than going out there and enjoying the country. Again, maybe the language barrier is once again a problem here. How many people who actually go to the Algarve know a word of Portuguese?
  25. But what you lack in height, you make up for in awesome. Yeeeeeeees. Quick question, what do you eat? Give us an example of your daily routine, including what you eat for breakfast and stuff.
