When I was younger, I used to go to a car boot sale around five minutes from my house, which was held at the local cattle market. I'm not sure if the place was an actual cattle market, or a dis-used, one. But, every Saturday they would have a market where you buy fruit, veg and other stuff, and then Sundays were Car Boot Sale days. I used to pick up loaaaaads of second hand games there. SNES and Megadrive games in particular. I haven't been for a good load of years now, but I did pick up some sweet games. The last one I ever picked up was Super Mario World for the SNES for 2.50.

Haha, Wooooord, Retro. You're missing one, though! Heeeearts On Fiiiiiire! Strong Desssiiiiiire! Raaaa-geeees Deeeep Wiiiiithiiiin! Haha, just remember this one, toooo. Rocky IV - No Easy Way Out Man, IV had the best soundtrack.

I remember picking it up and feeling disappointed with it. However, it's the multiplayer I'm disappointed with. The single-player is still pretty awesome, I think. Just...the multiplayer sucked so, so much. Too many modes without more than a second's thought being put into it. The single-player would probably get a solid 8/10 from me. But, multiplayer, you're looking at about half that score...on a good day. Anyway, it'll be nice to see how this game plays. Can't wait to hear some impressions of it.

I'm going to give you three songs: First up, Oasis - The Meaning of Soul. I can't find a good video for it, and this is the only non-live one I could find, and I don't know if it's any good as my speakers have stopped working. So, going to restart the laptop and check it out for you. But, the song is kickarse. Secondly, I'm going to suggest Muse - Bliss. Thirdly, The Smashing Pumpkins - Cherub Rock. Edit: Just checked the link for the first one. Whilst it does play the song, it's significantly slower than the actual album version of the song. Looks like the youtube user slowed it down to match the video. Bah. Choose it, though. It's a brilliant song.

What aspect of life do you like the leeeeast?
Fierce_LiNk replied to Fierce_LiNk's topic in General Chit Chat
Haha, I think there are only a select few who will have first hand experience on that. But, as a guy, I feel for you females and your bleeding. Also, I understand that sleep is being mentioned in this thread. It's crazy that we need sleep, as it feels like a waste of time. But, in many ways, I quite like it. Being able to sleep means you can start a new day on a clean slate, and you feel refreshed and revitalised for it. -
I think I was more interested in how Ljajic was coming along, but Tosic looks pretty good. I agree, I reckon he'll be getting his fair share of games this season. We have quite a few wingers now with Tosic, Nani, Park and Valencia (whilst there are players who can play out on the wing too, but not necessarily wingers), but now I think it's time for several players to just step up their game now and show their potential. Fletcher upped a gear last year, so I hope others follow suit. Macheda is one that impresses me with each game. He's so young, but he's showing a lot of promise already. The four strikers thing is something that Fergie has done for quite some time, I think. He still believes that you need four quality strikers in order to compete on all fronts. For a while, it looked like Rossi would be the fourth man, but Fergie sold him on...although he's probably kicking himself now at that. Then, Campbell looked like being the new fourth man, but now he's moved on, too. I hope Macheda is able to stick it out at United and show his worth.

Well done, Raininnnnng. War and Chaos: Enjoy the gym! I wish I did take before and after pictures, heh. I'm 6 or 7 weeks into it now, so dunno if it's worth it. Well, I'm knackered at the moment! Really into the swing of things with the gym, and on the whole I feel a lot fitter. I think I've got a good variation of exercises going on, and trying to work myself pretty hard. If anything, I'm probably going a bit too hard, heh. Got a routine as well at home where I do 3 sets of press-ups, 3 sets of abdominal crunches and 3 sets of reverse crunches daily. Need to work at this stomach fat.

Yesterday, I popped along to one of the UWIC campuses at Cardiff, as I was joining a teaching agency there. As my brother goes to UWIC, he was quite good at finding the place, which is good seeing as I'm bad with directions. So, met up with the female there, and she was quite nice. Took all my documents, photocopied them, paid me a few compliments with regards to my CV, experience and work history, and then she conducted a short interview. It was pretty laid back. Short, nice and simple questions which didn't catch me off guard. One of the questions had me thinking though, and it was one which I thought about quite a fair abit after. "What aspect of teaching do you like the least?" "Hmm...what aspect of teaching do I like the least?...yeeeah, that's a good question. *nodding and thinking* Probably the feeling of hitting a wall and not knowing how to get past that. *nods and thinks some more* Although that's also one part of teaching that I like a lot, too. Overcoming the obstacles. Yeeeeah." But then, eet had me thinking, sometimes the least nicest bits in life are also tied in with the best things. You might use a bad experience to then help towards making good decisions in the future, that sorta thing. So, my question to you: Are there any aspects of life that you like the least? Maybe it's an abstract thing, or maybe the thing that you like the least is something that takes a particular form, like money, or something else in particular. It may seem trivial, like Hip Hop Music, but it might mean a lot to you. The thing that I like the least is when I hit a wall and can't seem to improve with something. One example is with my grades at uni, I kept getting 56s or 58s, and just couldn't do better. In the gym, sometimes there are days where you don't feel like you're improving there, or with my guitar playing. It can seem de-motivating. But then, the best days are where you overcome these obstacles. That's what I find. Over to jou.

I've done your day in reverssssse. It started off rainy and now it's Sunny. The sun is actually in my eyes and I can't see the left side of the computer screen, haha. Today has been ok. Got another rejection later from a school. And just been a bit bored through most of today. Watched a few episodes of Top Gear and Friends, so that was fun. Got a meeting with another agency on Thursday, so I hope they find me something.

Haha, that comic is pretty good. I'm not really surprised that Arsenal fans don't seem cut up about him leaving at all. Who do you reckon will replace him, if anyone? Mark Hughes has a bit task on his hands. Managing all of these egos will be pretty tough, I think. He's got a big squad and on paper it all looks good, but it doesn't always work like that. Something in my head just tells me that they won't finish within the top 5. I'm betting 6th position. It seems pretty bad in photos, but for some it seems less bad when I've seen it during the pre-season games. Not the best shirt, but I think it'll become acceptable in time. Saw that earlier. Bit of a kick in the nuts considering Rosicky played the other day, doesn't it? Haha, if he does that, I will cry. Although, he's looked pretty good, and is settling in well with life as part of the team. That's the more pleasing thing for me. Platty, what do you think of Tosic? I saw the game yesterday, and his crossing wasn't the best (although one of his crossed did lead to the second goal) but he looks a lot better than I thought he would be. Very small guy, though! That is pretty crazy news. A tiny part of me thought that he may go to Portsmouth as their manager, as it would've made things pretty interesting! Edit: Here's the John Terry look-alike. Lmfao.

Also, my Dad just made me a cup of tea. He's not made one for 20 odd years, and then I get overdosed with them within 2 months. Double hurrah!

The day is 2 hours old, and I have booked my tickets to come and seeeee IIIIIIINNNNNEEEE. I have also sent off a request to get my online banking details sent to my address, since I haven't used it in a long time and forgotten my password and username. Also, I have a meeting today with a teaching agency, who hopefully will find me a teaching job, even if it is only supply work or something. Although, I made a mistake with Ine's tickets. I'm leaving her to come home on the 29th August...which is Man United against Arsenal! D'oh. My biggest game of the year, haha. Gonna have to get mum to record it or something, since I get home too late. Gah. If ever you need proof of my love for Ine, it is here.

I haven't turrned to Match.com just yet...
Fierce_LiNk replied to Josh64's topic in General Chit Chat
Looking for a relationship is probably one of the hardest things to look for. It's not like you can go out to a club and "find" one, or get it at the supermarket. "I'll have some chocolates, wine and some love, please." Looking for eet probably just makes you feel even more lonely. Also: "The next person I go out with is someone who I will actually like." Well, if you didn't like someone, why go out with them? Or, also, how do you know you will actually like them or not. Ahh, double jeopardy! The key thing really is to give everything a chance and do your very best. I was never an advocator of long-distance relationships, but I'm in one now because I think there's no harm in trying. If it works, then wohoo, but if it doesn't, then at least I've tried my very best to make it work, and just maybe it wasn't meant to be. After my ex, I think I was single for about a year and a half, or so, but I did have many little flings and adventures along that time. Plenty of women passed through the fires of my love, and some just did not make it out alive. But, for many reasons, each of these situations just did not work. Maybe some situations will work out better if you just stay friends, or maybe there isn't that "connection" that is so vital for a relationship to work. Life can be lonely, but life is also yours to make something of. Nobody instantly gains an awesome life overnight, its something that is always a work in progress. I'm 22 now, and I know that there's a long stretch of road out there infront of me, although it feels like I "know" life pretty well now, when I realise that there is still much to be seen and done. You're in control of your own life, so take charge: be in control of what you do and the things that you want to do. But, importantly, deal with things if they don't work out. Whether that means that you can't find someone right now, or if this internet dating thing doesn't work, you make a choice and deal with the consequences. -
Guys, I've looked at the pictures and seen all the cool stuff that you did, and I hope that everyone had a good time. There seem to be a bit of ill feeling, but I hope that doesn't take away from what looked like an awesome meetup. I will move heaven and earth to be at a future N-E meet, hopefully with Ine, but we're loving all the photos and stuff.

Well played, dude. Well done.

You are the foreskin to N-Europe's penis. To some, you are quite funny. To others, you just get in the way. To most, we could live without you. I joke! You're cool. Plus, you're named after a hooooover.

He's got another year left, hasn't he? I really can't see him going, either. Although, if he did go, Mourinho would be laughing all the way to the bank. 35 million + Eto'o and potentially Hleb as well? Barcelona must be in some sort of hurry to land Ibrahimovic. Also, Adebayor has now signed for Manchester City. The 1-4-5 formation is looking ever more likely.

Congratulations, you Shadow of a Ghost! Clearly the love-making worked. Clearly. Also, was she named amber after the colour of the traffic light?

I could go busking out on the street, singing choons for money, and people could deposit the monies into the hat! Also, I could use it for...raffles. Or the national lottery. Put all the numbers into the hat, and pick them ouuut.

I had to rent thiiiis for my graduation ceremony at the end of the month. It came to about 30 quid, but I also decided to buy the hat and keep it, since I think it'll make a pretty nifty keepsake.
