  1. Cana is awesome. I enjoy watching him play. Also, great observation on the tache! I said the same thing to my brother and we chuckled. The United game was great. Goals from Fletcher (brilliant goal, imo) Carrick and Valencia. 3 midfielders, which is always great to see. Fletcher was outstanding today. It is going to be very interesting to see what happens when Owen Hargreaves comes back. I think both Fletcher has cemented his position in the first 11 now, and Valencia is looking great on the right hand side. Do Fletcher and Hargreaves work well together? I'm not so sure it will...seems a bit too defensive maybe for my liking, but if this gives Fletch the option to go forward more then maybe it'll work? We'll see. Rooney didn't have his best game, but I was a little surprised to see him taken off. However, Obertan looked a treat when he replaced him. I thought both Evra and Rafael were brilliant, they complimented each other well on either side. Overall, very chuffed with the way the team played. Also watched the Liverpool and Man City game today. Before the game, I said a draw would make me happy. Well, I did say a 6-all draw with a sending off for either side, so I didn't quite get that, but this will do, haha.
  2. It's an awful song. There's no denying it. It's so annoying. The actual game itself looks...not too bad. But, how the hell do you play it? How do you move?!
  3. I'm kinda in the mood for loud and aggressive musics, too. But, people are sleeping...dammit. I'm temptedings to play some Guitar Hero and rock outtt on there, maybe. As for today, it was great. Went to school, and they were doing lots of fun things for Children in Need. Boys had their nails painted, girls had their faces painted. And, it was a school rule that you had to either wear Wellies or wear one item of clothing either inside out or back to front. I wore my shirt inside out and my tie the other way around. Looked like a professional tit.
  4. What the hell did I just watch? That song. At last, I have found a sound more annoying than Beyonce. Seriously, what the hell? Who comes up with this stuff?
  5. Very well said. The Cantona example is a great one. That guy had a rollercoaster of a career. But, you ask the majority of United fans who would make it into their all-time 11/X1, a big portion would have Cantona in there. Fantastic player. I grew up worshipping the guy. Henry did wrong, and he will probably never truely pay for what has taken place. How can he? Unless the match does get replayed (which it probably won't) or if he misses the World Cup, there is just no possible way he can ever be given a punishment to fit the crime. But, he has done so many things right over the years, and he has always been one of the most exciting players to watch. It will be a great shame if he is just remembered for this. As for Maradona, I remember in school many years ago where some of my friends were talking about him. I piped up and said that I just didn't like the guy. I got slaughtered, but I still hate him to this day. You only have to see his latest "you can suck it" video after Argentina made it through to the World Cup to see that the guy is a prick. Can't stand him and probably never will. He did some great things with Napoli, but in the end he left there in less than favourable circumstances. Also, that Roy Keane interview: I managed to catch that when I came home from work. He does make a point. In football, you should always play to the whistle. But, had the Irish players carried on playing after the handball and then appealed, surely it would have been too late anyway? I mean, look where Henry is, look where Gallas is. If the referee didn't spot the handball when they suddenly stopped playing, what are the chances he would have spotted it if they had carried on playing? He's right, they should have cleared the danger, but this was in extra time and no doubt the team were knackered by then. They were playing against a formiddable team, so I think Roy should cut them a little slack. To even get themselves into the position of just needing a goal in extra time was a great one that they worked themselves into. It's just a shame that some of the earlier chances had not gone in.
  6. There's a ton of films I've seen and not rated, usually down to me forgetting what I've just seen. Oh, also, right now, I've just finished watching Friday 13th Part Three in 3D on Channel 4. My Mum has been saying all week "oooooh, Jim, we should watch this with our glasses and lovely tell. Oooh, it'll be fun, things will be flying out of the screen and it'll scare you." She talks a lot, so I just nodded and said "ok" when I was making a cuppa tea. I didn't know what I was letting myself in for. However, I do quite like watching these old Halloween-esque thrillers/slashers, whatever they are. But, I'm not too familiar with this series. First of all, the 3D-ness wasn't too great at all. There didn't seem to be many parts that used it well, apart from maybe about 2 sections in the entire film. Not only that, but I found that it was a pain in the arse actually using the glasses and sitting there watching from where I was sitting. It just didn't work well for me tonight. Secondly, the film itself is garbage. There just wasn't a point (or a good point) to most events that took place in the film. Not only that, but the characters in this film are so generic and wooden. How surprising is it that there's a sex scene between two of the characters and then a shower scene? Do they have some sort of checklist when they make films of this type?! Thirdly, I missed Commando...for This. At the end of it, me and my Mum looked at each other and thought hmm, that was a grand waste of time. 3/10.
  7. I like the look of those blue jeans. Maybe a little bit too tight on the legs for my liking, but they look awesome. Well done. New jeans are great. And Chair, I quite like the top. Its a bit different, hehe.
  8. I feel the same. I think both the Wii version and this new version look good. It's a great game, so it's nice for non-Wii owners to get a chance to play it. But, if I had already played it on the Wii, I wouldn't then go ahead and buy this new one for the 360 (if I had one.) But then, I don't think it's intended for that. It's for people who didn't get the chance first time around. Looks good, but I'm already more than content with what I received, played and loved a year and a half ago.
  9. I can see where you're coming from, but I remember thinking at the time "I really don't like this band." I still feel the same now. I'm not a huge fan of their style of music (same with the Arctic Monkeys) and I definitely didn't see it as them resetting the industry, so to speak. I quite enjoyed the 90s. I didn't check through the entire list, but did The Last Broadcast (Doves) get a mention? Edit: Just checked through. Wow...it didn't even make the list. How could they have overlooked that?!
  10. Pfft, you lie. Plus, there's still not so great music that was released after it. Anyway, the likes of Primal Scream were rocking the house whilst the Strokes were still being breastfed.
  11. It's funny that Platini's suggestion of having referees behind the goal would probably have prevented the goal from standing. But, it makes you wonder what on Earth has to happen before video technology is introduced.
  12. Today got off to a shockingly bad start. Last night, I set my alarm for half past 6, and slept soundly well. I woke up and thought ahh, I'll have an extra few mins in bed, because these minutes will help me be nice to the world, as I will not be grouchy. I left my bed, and wandered downstairs. I look at my kitchen clock and just looked at the hands...that's weird...quarter to seven, am I supposed to be here?...NOOOOO! I'm supposed to be walking to the train station! I was supposed to set my alarm for half past 5...ohhhhh noooooo-aaaaaaaaaaa. So, I had the quickest shower that anyone has ever had in the history of the world ever. I didn't have breakfasttttt. And, when I was on my way to the train station, I was almost running. But, somehow, National Rail saved my life...and I only ended up arriving at the school about 15 minutes later than I usually do. How on Earth I did that, I'll have no idea. I must have travelled through a time warp when on that train. Rest of the day has been ok. Friday tomorrow. Fuck yeah!
  13. Good luck, Flamers! Remember, if you do speak, to make a terribly bad joke that will gain you nationwide infamous...initity. Do eeeet. Well done, though.
  14. A 10 game ban is very over the top. But then, what sort of ban could anyone possibly hand out that would fit this crime? I think the closest thing is Franklin's suggestion that Henry is banned from the World Cup. Although, Fifa would never have the balls to go ahead with that one. Henry would just appeal (if it ever happened) and they would crumble. As for the Bahrain/Uzbekistan replay, I think Ireland will be clinging to this and hoping that they can maybe force a replay. I don't think it'll happen though, I just really don't. In this day and age where Fifa and Uefa and Coronation Street are trying to encourage fans and players to give the referee less of a rough ride or less criticism, I can't imagine them coming out and admitting that the referee missed a big turning point and overuling the goal being given or the match replayed.
  15. I'm going to echo the Driver of Chairs here and vote for Justice. I haven't listened to too much stuff by either artist, but I feel like maybe I should have. Especially the Costello.
  16. Looking at that list, and it is quite interesting seeing their choices and what got put in certain positions. Really happy to see the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Arcade Fire and Interpooool in there. Generally, I think the top 10 is a good top ten. Aside from two bands: The Arctic Monkeys and The Strokes. Can't stand either band, but the Strokes are by far the lesser of the two evils. Still, I would rate almost each of those albums in that top 10 above the number one choice. Fever to tell is a masterpiece.
  17. I think there are a fair few out there who disliked the "time" aspect of Majora's Mask. Which was a fundamental element of the game. I loved it, probably one of the finest games that I have ever played. About Twilight Princess: How many people have actually given this game another chance and played it through a second time? If the answer to that is "not very many" then it's a bit unfair to assume that opinions for the game will change over time with gamers if people are not giving it that chance. Again, I loved it, and it will probably still rank as one of my favourite gaming experiences. I keep getting cravings to play this, but I want to put time aside...which I kinda don't have. I need my Zelda fix. I'll be interested to see what Nintendo do this time around with Zelda.
  18. I didn't get a chance to see the game, but I followed text updates of it. Apparantly he handled the ball twice in the run up to the goal? Oh dear. When the game went to extra time, I honestly thought the Irish were going to go on and nick this one. Feel really sorry for them and their travelling fans.
  19. How would you remove rent if you quit the job? I don't get that bit, unless you mean you'd have parents helping out with rent? Yeah, it's a tricky situation bro. What would be your incomings, though? So, work, money off family and student loans, if you get any.
  20. Here's a man-hug. *man hug* I hope you can find a way outta this hole, Mr. Jayseven. How much rent do you pay exactly?
  21. I agree with you, sucker. When I'm playing a game, I notice that sometimes I can spot things a lot quicker than others. However, in general, my eyesight is poor. I'm short sighted, and therefore can't even drive without my glasses. So, I don't think gaming improves your sight, as such. But, I think it can help you become more "aware" of things that are on the screen. So, in terms of scanning, it might help.
  22. Hehe, I've already got GH3, and we've played a fair bit of it. It would seem a bit silly if we both got that, I think? However, World Tour on the other hand...if we could get a great deal on that, I would be happy. Been after that for a long while.
  23. Where do you see these people talking? On Nintendo forums, with gamers who buy these "underground" games? In all honesty, there are probably about 10 people on this forum who have declared their interest in the game, and they're probably the same ones who buy the other hidden gems. It's most definitely not a biiiig title. The problem is purely down to exposure. If you don't frequent these message boards, how on earth do you ever find out about these games? I've preached to the world about de Blob and I've convinced about 3 other people to buy it, and these were people who didn't use message boards. You don't see many adverts for these types of games, you don't see many articles in newspapers or non-gaming publications, so how are people supposed to know that these games exist? It's not a coincidence that products such as WiiFit and Mario Kart are constantly sold out and are heavily, heavily advertised outside of message boards and gaming publications.
  24. The uni people suck, Ine. It must be annoying not knowing when you're supposed to have lectures and sessions, and then being misguided by your own lecturers. Gah, fools. I had about...3 hours of sleep last night. I didn't get to sleep for hours, and then I kept waking up at stupid times. Not great when I needed to get up early, too. Thankfully, school was great today, and I'm starting to get to know the staff a lot better now in the schools I regularly visit. My back aches from the gymz0r the other day, I don't think the lack of sleep helped. I was kinda hoping I could have gone tonight for a little workout, but since this morning I thought nooo, soreness. A little disappointed considering that this gym is closing in a few weeks, and I still need to find a new one.
  25. That's a very good point, I almost forgot about the timer. Your solution with the suspended save is probably the best answer to that problem. Another game which could maybe benefit from a save function is de Blob. When I play this with Ine, we really, really have to set time aside to play it. Sometimes the levels take hours to clear, from start to finish. So, if we needed to go out at a certain point or do something else, we would lose so much game data...I think de Blob is more in need of a save function than Madworld, but they could both really benefit from it.
