  1. Well, that's what happens when you "appreciate" Muse a bit too much. Let this be a lesson to you. Although, in fairness, I touch my balls to a lot of music. So, maybe we're more similar than we think.
  2. I just can't get this song out of my heeeead. It's also so lovely to play the guitar bit to. Everything about this song is great. It just fits together so nicely and I can't help listening to it. So entrancing.
  3. (Not wanting to drag up an argument) But I think it's only natural for Ramar to talk about his team for the majority of the time. I mean, that's the team he follows and watches more than any other, and it'll be the team he's most clued up on. Like mine is Man Utd and Dazzy is Spurs and DuD is West Brom, etc. I'm glad that a full on argument didn't take place, as a lot of other forums I've glanced at have so many members that just kick off over anything. So, it's great that it didn't happen here, heh. With regards to Avram Grant, he was always in for a tough time taking over Chelsea after Mourinho, and I still think that the club treated him horribly. He helped them reach the Champions League Final, they finished second in the league at the end of the campaign and in my honest opinion he did a far, far better job than Big Phil did when they brought him in to replace him. I've done a bit of reading and found that Chelsea offered Avram a four year deal in December after taking over. What was the point in giving him that contract if they were going to throw him out anyway? To think that a manager can reach the Champions League Final and finish second in the league and then get sacked is pretty crap. Not to mention, he was the manager who brought Anelka to Stamford Bridge, who was their top scorer last season. I have lost a lot of respect for Chelsea over that. Anyway, as much as I like Avram Grant, as a United fan, I'm hoping that we can go to Fratton Park and get a good result. Funny enough, Avram's first game in charge of Chelsea was against United, where they won 2-0. Maybe history will repeat itself.
  4. Happy Birthday, dude. Hope it's been a great day. Enjoy eet.
  5. It really depends what they mean as scary, though. I mean, isn't this game meant to be more "tense" than scary? I know what you mean though, and that's why I think I'll wait for more reviews and impressions before I make a firm judgement on that aspect of the game. If the game doesn't make you feel the least bit tense or nervous at all, then...I'll be a bit gutted.
  6. McMadness? Thiiiiis issss Spartaaaaaaaaa! Happy Birthday, dude. Enjoy eet. Enjoy eet naaaw.
  7. Loved both songs, and it's really hard to choose one. I feel The Hendrix edges it. Great little battle, though.
  8. Truer words have never been spoken. I do prefer games that make you feel "un-easy", and that probably applies to films, too. A film like Invasion of the Bodysnatchers is more scary to me than a lot of these modern horror films, due to the atmosphere that the film creates and the ideas that it has. Being taken over by another being and then being devoid of all feeling and emotion. That's more my kind of thing than "Oh my God, a loud door slamming!" I've been following this pretty much from the start, and I really just love the look of it. Could be a great game to have in your collection.
  9. It definitely showed that this particular group of players haven't played together as a team too many times. But, as you say, there were some good individual performances. I thought Gibson showed some good stuff quite a few times, and I would have liked him and Obertan to have grabbed some goals. As long as these guys put the effort in and keep aiming to improve, then they should enjoy a great career in football. It's very hard to come through United at a young age and still be there many years later, but it can be done. Another thing (this applies to the first team and all players) is that I want to see us take more shots on goal. Sometimes we're guilty of trying to walk the ball into the net. I don't think too many of our places have that confidence to try a shot from outside of the box or even within the box. When was the last time Anderson had a shot?! They need to be a bit more brave in that respect and have a go. I'm not saying that they should try from 50 yards out everytime, but if they have the space and time and the opportunity, then have a go. Sometimes the fans appreciate that.
  10. Although United lost the game tonight, I thought there were quite a lot of positives they could take from the game. Obertan looked great tonight, and you could definitely see the potential in him, Wellbeck and Macheda. They've got that killer instinct within them, and they were a bit unlucky not to grab a few goals tonight. I thought Rafael would have started tonight, but I was a little surprised to see him playing on the left. He didn't really look comfortable there at all, but he's still a very young lad, mind. Overall, we created some good chances, but I think some of our play (particularly in that second half) was very slow. We seemed to want to pass the ball into the net. You could see the difference when Evra came on, he added some pace - and that is clearly something that has come through experience of playing in the first team and alongside other great players. I also thought he was very unlucky to not get that penalty. So, a 1-0 defeat, but definitely not the end of the world.
  11. It's great that they're getting good reviews with this one. However, I don't agree that it's neccessarily the best way to publicise your game, at all. A lot of people put two and two together and thought (a few months back) "Ok, it's already been released on other consoles quite a while back, it's being brought over to the Wii and the developers are not releasing any screens or footage for this game. That can't be good." I think many wrote this off as a shoddy port or a cheap cash-in from the start. I don't know how well this is selling, but I wouldn't be surprised if people felt a bit alienated from the start over this. Why hide it? I, like many, were quite surprised at how good that it actually looks graphically. And, to hear that it plays well is another huge boost. So, why hide it? Why not actually market this and be proud of it? I think this could be somewhat of a cult game for Wii owners, where not many at all buy it (due to the lack of publicity), but it could be a game that many play and talk about for quite some time.
  12. I think he meant Dante's post? About what you need to do to get the stars. So, Hero, it looks like you now love this game? What are your thoughts after completion?
  13. Tottenham have an excellent squad. Look at their midfielders: Off the top of my head, they have: Huddlestone Palacios Modric Jenas Lennon O'hara (on-loan at Portsmouth) Krancjar David Bentley I don't know any others apart from that. But, that's a very strong midfield. A lot of depth there, and there are some good options for Harry. Their strikeforce looks pretty great too, banging in the goals. The only thing I would question is their defence. I really rate Assou-Ekotto, I think he's a terrific player. But, I think they're just one defender short. Gareth Bale has been a huge disappointment for me. He's young and will get better, but still, disappointment in him thus far. You're right though, outside of the first 11, it's very difficult to create a Liverpool second 11. There's just no depth there.
  14. Your words hurt me deep, Eevil. I have thought about maybe typing up my comments, then simply printing them out and sticking them into the kids books? Haha. When I get my own class, I will try this out. Also, giving out stickers is the best part of being a Primary School teacher. The kids love them, I feel awesome giving them out. Its a win-win! Win squared.
  15. Haha, why couldn't I just write that at the bottom of their work with a pen? Or am I missing something? Aw, well, don't beat yourself up about it too much. You were drunk for a start, and she should have stopped it, too. Maybe you can sort things out quietly between you and her so the situation doesn't escalate. So, I'm using that Nitro PDF and editing my form as we speak. The program is a god send! Although, I feel a little bit cheeky editing the form this way. Will the school think "ahh, well done, good initiative!" or will they think "Cheating bastard!"? I also didn't get to sleep til 4 oclock because I kept hearing the neighbours next door and the rain was so loud on my window. So, I didn't wake up til 1. I've noticed that I don't feel as sore today as I thought I would from the gym, but that may be because of the awkward sleep? Maybe tomorrow I'll feel it, heh.
  16. Men, if you had love holes, you would be getting it really hard right now. Thank You Thank You Thank You Thank You Thank You Thank You Thank You Thank You Thank You Thank You Thank You Thank You Thank You Thank You!
  17. What?! Can you even do that?! How does this work?
  18. Aw wait, just checked on Wikipedia. He is both a winger and a striker? But what is his more natural position? I'm guessing winger as that's where he is played more often. Hahahaha, O'Shea is a cult hero at United now. I've stuck by both him and Fletcher (and also Kieran Richardson before he moved to Sunderland, but I still am proud to see him do well) since the beginning. They've had a lot of stick, all of them, but if the players keep working at it, then the fans will appreciate them in time. O'Shea never let his head get down, and neither did Darren, and now they're both playing week in week out. O'Shea has played in every position, goal-keeper, left back, right back, centre defence, wing, midfield and striker! But, nobody even bats an eyelid anywhere when we see his name on the teamsheet. Whether he's playing anywhere across the back four or even midfield. He played defensive midfielder against CSKA away in the Champions League and did a very fine job. He's completely won the trust of the fans, and was probably our best player in Rome against Barcelona. He's not the best player in the World, and he doesn't have the pace of Roberto Carlos or the tenacity of players like Evra, but he always does his job well, whatever it is. It can be done, and maybe in time Lucas and Babel will become important players for Liverpool.
  19. Right, I have been supply teaching since the first week of School. My first school was this one in Caerphilly and since then they have had me back their every week. It's a trek to get to on the train, but I enjoy going there because the staff are great, the kids are lovely and I feel as if I fit in there. A job has come up there. Maternity leave cover, starting 4th January. I've been waiting for ages for something to come up there and it is, and now the warning lights are flashing. Don't screeeeew this upppp. However, the application form is in PDF format and you can't edit it directly. You have to print it out and write onto it. This wouldn't be so much of a fail if I weren't a male with disgusting handwriting! You need to write a personal statement with focus paid to many different bits of criteria. But, I'm worried about the buggers reading my bluddy handwriting. How ironic that I probably won't get offered an interview at a Primary School because I suck at a skill which was taught to us in Primary School. God, you are very cruel to me.
  20. In fairness, hasn't he been wanting to leave for quite some time, due to being played out of position or simply not being played at all? Like I mentioned in one of my earlier posts, I thought he was winger!
  21. Haha, in order to love Zelda, you do have to suspend your belief, I feel. I'm surprised he hasn't actually whipped out his twin and double-teamed Ganon at some point. It's going to happen. I agree with this so much. That was a huge disappointment for me with regards to the Overworld. It was great seeing an Island in the distance, but it was then a bit ":(" when you got back onto the boat in search of the next one. I know every single Island doesn't have to be interesting, but there probably should have been much more in terms of exploration. But then, that could be down to time constraints? Maybe Nintendo would have added more secrets on these smaller islands if they had a bit more time.
  22. I feel bad for them, because I do have some friends who are fans of the Pool and I don't really loathe them as much as other United fans do. (except when we play each other, haha) But, this season really has been a car wreck for them. How bad will things get? The only thing I think that could make the situation worse is if Gerrard gets himself injured against Everton and is out for the rest of the season.
  23. Well, if Harry were to go back to Pompey, he would be making the biggest mistake of his life. Look where he is. Coming off the back of a 9-1 win, currently in the top 4 and he's got a lovely little squad around him. Some of which are players he nicked from Pompey. It would just defy most, if not all logic to go back there. This season, he could realistically get Spurs into the Top 4. Its a possibility. (I'm not sure they'll do it, though. I question their defence) I would be delighted for Pompey to get a new manager who can keep them up, but I don't believe it will be Harry. I've got no smegging clue who I think will take over. I'm a little shocked they've moved Hart on. Also, Liverpool have gone out of the Champions League. Hmm, in the back of my mind, I thought "well, they're jammy, they'll find a way." But, they didn't. I think quite a lot of fans were thinking "yeah, we'll find a way out of this mess" but it just isn't going that way. At this stage, I would not be surprised one bit if Rafa was sacked tomorrow.
  24. Screw you, Coolness. Sorry, Mr. Shorty, sir.
